Miley Cyrus, Liam Hemsworth & Taylor Lautner Party On At OMNIA Nightclub

Miley Cyrus
Miley & Liam
Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth were spotted at OMNIA Nightclub inside Caesars Palace on Friday September 23rd.

Arriving the famed nightlife destination around midnight, the couple and their friends, who included professional snowboarder Shaun White, were seated in the DJ booth while Justin Mylo was laying down chart-topping hits for the packed crowd.

The “Wrecking Ball” singer looked stunning dressed in black pants and a black leather jacket while Hemsworth looked laid-back and handsome, donning jeans and a tan t-shirt.

The two were seen enjoying their night out after the “Voice” coach surprised fans with a spontaneous performance with Bill Idol at the iHeart Radio Music Festival earlier in the evening. The stars were seen in high spirits as they mingled with friends and danced at their VIP table before leaving shortly before 1:30 a.m.

Taylor Lautner
Meanwhile, “Twilight” star Taylor Lautner was also spotted enjoying his night inside Heart of OMNIA where DJ Irie was performing for the crowd. Arriving around 1:00 a.m., the “Scream Queens” actor looked handsome and casual dressed in a light blue t-shirt. Around 2:30 a.m., Lautner made his way inside the main club to the balcony where he took in the sounds of OMNIA resident DJ, Martin Garrix. The star was seen in high spirits all night, dancing and sipping on cocktails while mingling with his friends.

The nightclub exploded with energy at the end of Martin Garrix’s set when Bebe Rexha jumped in the DJ booth for a surprise performance of the duo’s hit single “In the Name of Love.” Dressed in a dark green sequined jumpsuit, the blonde bombshell looked absolutely gorgeous as fans danced and sang along with her in an exciting close to the evening.

Legendary Restaurant The Palm Re-Opens With Delectable Dishes

Original The Palm Interior
Las Vegas! I first arrived in this town in 1989 from the cosmopolitan town of Albuquerque, New Mexico. At that time Las Vegas was still holding onto the old ways of The Sands, The Dunes and the Stardust. No huge celebrity Chef eateries and the buffets were still $1.99 to $9.99 which was considered gourmet! Then in 1993 a wonderful exciting restaurant came to Caesar’s Palace. Yes The Las Vegas Palm opened.

The original The Palm restaurant opened in 1926 in New York city by Pio Bozzi and John Ganzi and became a mecca for celebrities seeking consistently good service and  delicious steaks. If you have visited one of the restaurants you will see their famous Caricatures of the famous diners who have visited each location. This time honored tradition started because the Manhattan location was in close proximity to King Features Syndicate which employed a large number of cartoonists. In order to pay for their meals the cartoonists would draw their own creations on the walls of The Palm. At the New York location you will find original caricatures of Popeye, Batman, Beetle Bailey, Hagar the Horrible and many more. In 1995 the walls were professionally restored to keep these treasured walls intact for future generations or restaurant guests to enjoy.
New Dining Room
Now move along to September 2016 and a revamped and redecorated The Palm has re-opened. Along one wall is a brand new colorful mural which depicts the Las Vegas strip complete with a rendition of the famous Mirage volcano erupting. As for caricatures here at the Las Vegas location you will find on the walls such notables as Mayor Oscar Goodman and many celebs from the Caesar’s family of  entertainers such as Celine Dion and Rod Stewart.

Along with the new dining room some new items were added to the famous The Palm menu. Items that will delight your taste buds and have you visiting The Palm again and again

Applewood Smoked Nueske Bacon

Calamari
whether here in Las Vegas or in your town. Fabulous dishes such as delicious decadent tasty Thick-cut Applewood Smoked Nueske Bacon which is the “beluga of bacon.”  Sliced thickly with a maple-glazed house-made steak sauce to dip in, your taste buds will explode with the richness of this smoked bacon. Don’t forget to try the Coconut-Crusted Sea Scallops served with watermelon radish and jicama slaw, a rich seafood dish that has the warm rich flavor of scallops. If Calamari is a favorite appetizer of yours then you are in for a treat! At The Palm the Calamari is dusted with  cornmeal and is served with pickled lemon and peppers and has a tasty marinara sauce for dipping. Tender and cooked to perfection this calamari will become one of your favorite appetizers.
Jumbo Crab Grilled Romaine Hearts Salad
If salad is one of your must haves for dinner then you simply need to try the Jumbo Crab over Grilled Romaine Hearts! A robust tasty salad that is large enough to be shared by four people. This salad has fresh crab with roasted red and yellow pepper, goat cheese, caramelized walnuts and is drizzled with a lemon vinaigrette. The flavors in this salad blend together wonderfully and is a delicious addition to the menu.

The Palm since it opened in New York became famous for it’s wonderful steaks and meats.  In the 1930’s when you ordered a steak a trip to the butcher was made and then your steak was cooked to perfection. Other than running to the butcher not much has changed with the quality of meats and dishes served. The 14-Day-Aged Duroc Pork Porterhouse is served with a brandy mushroom demi-glaze. Melt in your mouth tender pork slow cooked to perfection is a mystical dish prepared perfectly. And the mushrooms add an earthiness to this dish.
My Friend Bill & I when served the Surf & Turf
Surf and Turf

Now for the pièce de résistance The Palm Classic Surf and Turf. Take a ½ Broiled Jumbo Nova Scotia Lobster (4 pounds) and serve it with a ½ Prime New York Strip (18 ounces) served with melted butter and fresh lemon. What else could you ever possibly want?  Tender juicy lobster with delicate succulent steak, a decadent mouth watering treat that truly deserves its place of honor on the menu. When paired with classic sides such as Creamed Spinach made with  ½ and ½ this meal is truly a memorable dining experience.

Warm Cinnamon Sugar Donuts
Wait...don’t forget dessert! The warm Cinnamon Sugar Donut holes served with chocolate and raspberry sauce are served piping hot and are a delicious end to your meal. Along with your dinner there's a wide variety of wines and cocktails available. If you are a lucky winner at the tables you might want to be a big spender and splurge on the Penfold’s ‘Grange” which is a 2011 Shiraz from the Barossa Valley and will only set you back $1,350 per bottle.

A dinner at The Palm is an experience and your meal will indeed be memorable! You can also join the 837 Club and be more of a Palm family member!  Once you become a member, you'll receive Club Points every time you visit The Palm that can be redeemed for special rewards ranging from a complimentary dessert to a weekend getaway for two. A one-time fee of $25 earns you membership and a $25 gift card towards your next Palm meal or happy hour bar visit.

Many thanks to our gracious The Palm staff including GM Lawrence Close, Executive Chef Kiko Ojeda!

The Danny Gans Memorial Champions Run for Life Hosted by Donny Osmond will be held Saturday, Oct. 15 at Town Square Las Vegas, to benefit the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation (NCCF). This special event, hosted by legendary entertainer and international star Donny Osmond, will continue to honor the memory of Las Vegas entertainer Danny Gans and to support, as Danny did, children with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses and their families living in Southern Nevada.

Runners, walkers and community supporters are invited Rock-A-Tutu for kids with cancer and compete in the 5K run, the fun run/walk and team race. Following the 5K, there will be an inspirational mini-run for children with critical illnesses called the Champions Run for Life – a one-of-a-kind and unforgettable event in Las Vegas. In addition to the run, there will be fun for the entire family including entertainment, bounce houses and more. Recognizing that people most often search online for charitable and volunteer opportunities, the foundation will leverage its Facebook  and YouTube social media sites to promote the event.

“This walk is a great event and one that I am very proud to be involved in as we honor my friend Danny, who was a great supporter of the local community, and also recognize the courageous children battling cancer and life-threatening illnesses each day,” said Donny Osmond. “This is a great way for us to come together to provide funding for children suffering from cancer, HIV/AIDS, sickle cell, renal, blood and immunologic diseases. In the years that I have been involved, I have seen so many families greatly affected by these illnesses and I know the great work NCCF does to help in their struggle.”

The competitive 5K run will award the top male and female finishers with a $300 cash prize, the second place male and female finishers will each receive $200 and the third place male and female runners will receive $100 each. Medals will be awarded in all 5K divisions and to children from kindergarten to fifth in the Fun Run. All participants will each receive a race t-shirt and goodie bag.
This year’s event has adopted a “Rock-A-Tutu” theme and will give awards for the Best Tutu and Largest Team.

Early registration is open now and is $25 ($30 after Monday, Sept. 26) for adults and $17 ($22 after Monday, Sept. 26) for children ages 12 and under. All entries on race day will be $40. Teams of 10 or more are $17 per person. Participants may register by calling NCCF at 702.735.8434, online at www.raceit.com , or on the day of the race from 6:30 a.m. to 7:25 a.m. at Town Square Las Vegas.   The one mile fun run/walk will begin at 7:30 a.m., followed by the 5K, team, and wheelchair and stroller divisions at 8 a.m. The awards ceremony will follow the race at 9:15 a.m., followed by the Champions Run for Life at 9:30 a.m.   Early registration will also be held on Friday, Oct. 14 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. at Whole Foods inside Town Square Las Vegas.

The Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation’s Champions Run for Life following the 5K celebrates children ages two through 18 with life-threatening illnesses. These special participants will be applauded by guest cheerleaders and mascots as they run, walk or wheel themselves around a specially designed course and will receive a medal for bravery in their battle against disease. The community is invited, at no cost, to cheer on and support these brave children.

Sponsors for the Danny Gans Memorial Champions Run for Life Hosted by Donny Osmond include Town Square Las Vegas, the law firm of Marquis Aurbach Coffing, PENTA Building Group Inc., Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada, the Danny Gans Family, Dunkin’ Donuts and Quillin Advertising, Public Relations & Social Media.
