New Live Show Starring Jeff Civillico Will Begin Taping Soon

Beginning this month, Jeff  Civillico will be hosting a weekly entertainment / news TV show called Las Vegas Good News that will tape in front of a live audience at The LINQ Promenade fountain stage every Thursday night from 5-8pm. Think Good Morning America meets The Tonight Show meets The Price Is Right. More on that below!

At the time of initial launch, the show will air weekends on Channel 13, the ABC affiliate in Las Vegas, and in-room throughout Caesars Entertainment properties (22,000+ rooms) and many other Strip hotels (Palms, Treasure Island, etc). We intend to expand into more regional markets throughout 2016 as the show gains traction. We are expecting the show to get some serious international distribution as well through our Production Company Vegas360's in-house global sales division. The show will have a large web / social presence, where additional content will be pushed out daily.

Las Vegas Good News combines elements of a live show AND a TV show. Each taping, in essence, is a big party out at The LINQ Promenade with live bands playing, entertainers performing, and interactive contests with opportunities for audience members to win prizes, swag, and discount offers. That weekly event will be filmed, chopped down, and spliced together with remote segments captured throughout the week to give each episode a live, fresh feel.

As the show's main host, Jeff will drive the 3 "anchor" segments each week:

High Roller PODcast: Celebrity interview during 1 spin on the High Roller. They have some BIG names lined up!

The News: With lovely co-host Stephanie and Jeff will run down this week's Vegas headlines in a way that is fun, engaging, and of course... a little different.

60-Second Wedding: They're partnering with a wedding chapel to help find a couple each week that wants to get married on TV in front of a live audience. And yes, you guessed it... Jeff will be officiating. The bride and groom will get to spin a prize wheel for their wedding gift where they can win anything from a new car to dinner at In-N-Out Burger. It's Vegas, after all :)

Jeff will be joined by a very talented cast of female co-hosts that will each cover a facet of Las Vegas (food, nightlife, conventions, etc.) and come onto the live show every couple weeks to present their segment with us on stage. Las Vegas Good News segments include: Three Courses and a Glass of Wine, Who's Who... And Do We Really Care, Vegas Weather, We Told You So, Don't Make the Same Mistake Again, Win a Million Bucks, Let’s Rock The LINQ, and Las Vegas Charity of the Week.

"Twisted Vegas" Westgate's Newest Show Arrived In STYLE

If you missed yesterday's Welcome Ceremony for Twisted Vegas, the new anchor show at Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino, then you lost out on what is being called the most extravagant welcome event to hit Vegas since Shania Twain shut down the Strip with her mighty stampede of horses.

Featuring the U.S. debut of one of France's most famous faces -- multi-talented funny man Alex Goude -- today's event showed the cast arriving in style at Westgate's porte cochère. Anxiety in the crowd crescendoed as a U-Haul driven by Twisted's version of Celine Dion pulled up to the red carpet.

Out of seemingly nowhere, a miniature Elvis popped out of the passenger side door, too short to be seen above the dashboard as the U-Haul approached. Then madness ensued.

Once Celine and Elvis opened the truck, a gaggle of some of the most strangely impressive performers in town unloaded onto the carpet. Celine led the cast's grand entrance with a rendition of her hit single "I Drove All Night," (it did appear as though she had been driving all night) before being abruptly stopped by Rob Kunkle and Tim Cook, Westgate's Executive Vice President & General Manager and Head of Security respectively. Following a slight miscommunication ("Hey, you can't be here with your U-Haul, we're waiting for our new show to arrive!"), Rob and Tim realized this was indeed the cast of Twisted Vegas.

"It was a grown French man's American dream come true," said Goude.

Closing out the event, the full cast performed "Viva Las Vegas." A few cheers were allegedly heard from the crowd. Or was that just the sound of taxi drivers honking because we blocked their access to the taxi line?

Furthermore, attendees at this morning's Welcome Ceremony were treated to a six-foot long table adorned with French croissants and coffee. Following the event, guests were invited inside the mythological Elvis Presley Theater for a short preview of the show, and everyone left completely twisted. Happy, but very twisted.

Twisted Vegas opens to the public on Tuesday, Feb. 9. Shows occur at 7 p.m. every Tuesday through Sunday (Mondays dark).

For more information or to purchase tickets, head to www.twisted.vegas.

LV Philharmonic Seeking Instruments For Local School Music Programs

The Las Vegas Philharmonic Guild has launched an instrument collection program to benefit local school music programs. This initiative is intended to address the great need for musical instruments for school music programs, particularly in charter schools in the Las Vegas valley.  After researching the need for 6 months, the Guild entered into a partnership with Andre Agassi College Preparatory Academy, who recently expanded their music program to a yearlong platform covering band, orchestra, and smaller ensembles.  Currently, there are as many as three students sharing a single instrument, which limits performance and practice times.

“Considering the wealth of musical resources in Las Vegas, we feel certain that with increased awareness, we can attract many people who have lonely instruments hiding in the backs of their closets or in garages that are waiting for a second chance,” shares Guild President, Juliana McRae.  “We believe that people would be willing to donate these instruments for a vital and worthy charitable cause, plus reap the tax benefits from such a donation.”

The organization is seeking playable instruments in good condition and because these instruments may need some refurbishing, they are also seeking interested parties for monetary contributions or donations of instrument repair services.  Since the young students of today are tomorrow’s musicians and audiences, and since there is such a high value of self-esteem earned through music education, we are very excited about this project, The Gift of Music.

For more information, to donate, or get involved, contact Monica Fuller at GuildEducation@lvphil.com or 702.580.8528.
