AJ Green was spotted with a large group taking over several dance floor tables at TAO Saturday night. The wide receiver for the Cincinnati Bengals said hello to Eric D Lux in the DJ booth as he manned the decks.

At the next table over Calvin Johnson, aka Megatron, returned to the club for the second night in a row. The Detroit Lions wide receiver chatted and took photos with fans.

Austin “Chumlee” Russell of Pawn Stars fame was seen in the club with friends and got a shout out from DJ Eric D Lux.

Maurice Jones-Drew, running back for the Oakland Raiders was also spotted taking in the scene from a VIP table, and a yet another table New England Patriots linebacker Akeem Ayers enjoyed the night with friends.

Never have a I seen a show which terrifies me! But let me explain, the longest running scripted show on The Las Vegas Strip, Menopause The Musical debuted in the heart of the city at its new home at The Improv inside Harrah’s Las Vegas.  As a woman I have heard horror stories of this momentous happening in one’s life…MENOPAUSE and I have never known what to expect! With these four wonderful cast members Vita Corimbi (Earth Mother), Lisa Mack (Professional Women), Laura Lee O’Connell (Iowa Housewife) and Paige O’Hara (Soap Star) I feel a tad more educated. The show takes place in a large department store and from the lingerie scene to the lunch scene each musical number is just as good if not better than the last. Be sure and watch out for “Mothers little helpers” which probably all of us at one or time wish we could have to help us smooth out the rough edges of some days.

These talented performers took the stage and delighted guests with the show’s comedic take on menopausal symptoms set to the soundtrack of parodies on classic songs of the ‘60s, ‘70s and ‘80s. Such as “Staying Awake”  a parody of “Staying Alive.” One of my favorites numbers "Lookin' for Love" which becomes “Lookin’ for food in to many places” hilarious! “Change Change Change” takes on an entirely different meaning when sung by powerhouse vocalist Lisa Mack as she talks about how her body has changed. Or where the fat gram goes…they go on my hips! Such great parodies that are fun and make you feel more comfortable being a woman and loving your body! This show helps us understand that women come in all shapes and sizes and that beauty is skin deep.  Menopause The Musical will definitely put a smile on your face. Take your girlfriends and have some drinks and laugh!

The Bella Suite

Check in was at 2 pm and I checked in on a Saturday. The line was not long at all and they did everything to accommodate my needs.  My knee sometimes acts up so they had me in a room that was a walk from the elevator but when I asked for a change…no problem. I was placed right next to the elevator! The front desk clerk was so nice and accommodating. Since I was only there for a short stay I rolled my own bag up to my room. At first I had trouble with the room card but all it took was one call and “BOOM” all taken care of.

Upon opening the door this is what I saw! Such a beautiful suite with all of the amenities.  Plus what I have always wanted a TV in the bathroom.  Perfection there it was. The closet was roomy and there was an iron and ironing board. There was even a printer! This is the type of hotel room that you could stay in for days and not want to leave. Down filled coverlets along with the biggest plushest pillows you can imagine had me LOVING the bed.  Usually I sleep a mere six hours per night but in this bed with the blackout curtains I slept a blissful 8 hours. So very nice!

I was there for a media event which was the celebration of the opening of the newest restaurant Yardbird Southern Table and Bar which is a house of worship to farm-fresh ingredients, classic Southern cooking, culture and hospitality. Helmed by award-winning restaurateur John Kunkel, the original location was recognized by the James Beard Foundation as Best New Restaurant and was named among America's Best New Restaurants by Bon Appetit. They hosted two parties the pre-show cocktail and the after show party. The food was farm food with tasty unexpected tidbits of extra flavor added. These were the stand outs of the party….such mouth watering down home cooking food:

Deviled Eggs 10 - fresh chive, smoked trout roe ‘redneck caviar’ ****

Chicken ‘n’ Watermelon ‘n’ Waffles - Yardbird’s signature ‘old school fried chicken’, honey hot sauce, chilled spiced watermelon, Cheddar cheese chow chow waffle, bourbon maple syrup ****

The standout drink was  - Yardbird Old Fashioned - this southern spin on this timeless classic features bacon infused Buffalo Trace Bourbon, Angostura bitters and maple syrup which went down so smooth but be careful it packs a wallop! ****

Blackberry Bourbon Lemonade - Made with Buffalo Trace bourbon, fresh lemon and cardamom

this punch is tart and bitter with just the right amount of sweetness is another lovely drink specialty that I absolutely loved! ****

After enjoying the opening party it was on to the show. Just a warning, be prepared to walk a ways because the property is large. But off we went. The crowd was buzzing was anticipation as Frank Sinatra is a Vegas icon. Those of us who have been here for quite a while feel a personal affinity for this legendary Rat Packer, one still hears Frank Sinatra stories!  I consider myself lucky that I saw Dean Martin at Bally’s in 1990 and still get chills remembering seeing this legendary performer on stage. Suffice to say I have always loved The Rat Pack and was very very excited about “FRANK The Man The Music.” This theatrical production has Bob Anderson one of the world’s leading impressionists as Frank. From the time the lights dimmed and he came on stage I could close my eyes and be back in the world reminiscent of late shows in the Copa Room at the Sands Hotel and this show is unlike any other tribute show. Bob sounds exactly like Frank Sinatra and his gestures are entirely Frank! A live orchestra adds to the experience. If you want to experience legendary Vegas in a modern setting then this is the show to see. The show has all of Frank’s iconic songs including of course “Luck Be A Lady” and “The Way You Look Tonight” which had the crowd clapping and swept away into the world of Frank Sinatra’s greatness. A must see show in Las Vegas!

All in all an evening in Vegas that will take you back to the legendary days with all the amenities of a modern day facility!

Tickets Now On Sale For "The Legend of Zelda” Coming To The Venetian Theatre

Nintendo’s “The Legend of Zelda” symphony concert series will come to Las Vegas, on its latest tour “Master Quest.”  The show, which celebrates the beloved 28-year-old video game franchise, will make this world tour stop on June 10, at The Venetian Theatre.

The Las Vegas Philharmonic will perform orchestral arrangements of music from the games of “The Legend of Zelda” universe, accompanied by video content from the games themselves.

The Las Vegas concert will be taped for a national music special scheduled to air at a later date on Public Television and AXS TV.

This new concert series will tour across the United States, Asia and Europe in 2015 as The Legend of Zelda: Symphony of the Goddess - Master Quest, and will feature music and images from Nintendo’s “The Legend of Zelda’s” most recent game releases. 

“How beautiful to see an art form revived,” said a review in the Vancouver Observer.  “The symphony is not a dying venue for aging minds but a potent way to communicate emotions via technology.”

Nintendo has teamed up with Jason Michael Paul Productions, Inc. to provide video game fans with the ultimate musical experience for “The Legend of Zelda.” The highlight of this new musical program is a full four-movement symphony that will guide fans through a musical retelling of key chapters from “The Legend of Zelda” franchise. The multimedia show will pair iconic music and gorgeous visuals from classic Zelda titles, as well as the newest game in the series, The Legend of Zelda: A Link Between Worlds for the Nintendo 3DS.

Las Vegas Rock Band Imagine Dragon's Live Concert At Vinyl

Live performances have always been essential to Imagine Dragons, who formed in 2009 and quickly earned a grassroots following by touring extensively and independently releasing a series of EPs. After signing to KIDinaKORNER/Interscope Records, the band made their major-label debut with the release of Continued Silence (a 2012 EP featuring the breakthrough single “It’s Time”). Once Night Visions arrived later that same year, Imagine Dragons soon found themselves on a skyward trajectory that saw the album climbing to #2 on the Billboard 200 chart, as well as the group taking home the Best Rock Performance for “Radioactive” at the 2014 Grammy Awards.
