Chateau Nightclub & Rooftop will host an official casting call to crown the very first Miss Chateau USA on Wednesday, Oct. 1, who will go on to compete at the Miss Nevada USA pageant on Sunday, Nov. 23.

Ladies will get the opportunity of a lifetime with the chance to compete at the Miss Nevada USA pageant, the official preliminary competition to the Miss USA pageant, owned by Donald Trump and broadcasted live on NBC. Recently, Miss Nevada USA 2014 Nia Sanchez brought nationwide attention to the Miss Nevada USA organization as the first Nevada titleholder to capture the Miss USA crown.

Prospective contestants will compete in a runway walking competition at the lavish club, and Miss Chateau USA will be chosen by a panel of judges for her beauty, poise and personality. In addition to representing the nightclub at the Miss Nevada USA pageant, the winner of Miss Chateau USA will get her entry fee to Miss Nevada USA pageant sponsored by Chateau, a value of $799.

Watch Tiesto's Music Set For The Bellagio Water Fountains!

  On Wednesday, September 17, the beat dropped and water soared when world-renowned DJ/producer Tiësto brought the iconic Fountains of Bellagio to life with a never-before-heard medley of three songs off his new album, A Town Called Paradise. “Footprints,” “Rocky” and “Red Lights” serve as the soundtrack to the newest show choreographed by WET, the original fountain creators.

The medley is the first compilation created specifically for the Fountains of Bellagio and the only show set to electronic dance music. This is also the first time a composer has collaborated with WET on show choreography for the Bellagio Fountains.

The show was taken from inception to completion by Peter Kopik, Executive Designer & Director of Choreography at WET, with Tiësto and Kopik spending time at the company’s California studio as well as on site programming at Bellagio. The mix includes elements exclusively added for the Fountains show and is a spectacle that will appeal to all.

Kopik said, “It was a new challenge to translate Tiësto’s fast-paced beats in to Fountain choreography. Instead of starting off slow as the other shows do, this performance begins with an explosive burst from the Fountains, bringing a new energy to the show.”

The Fountains of Bellagio is complimentary with daily performances that rotate more than 30 songs.  The schedule is:

Fall Arrives Today At The Bellagio's Conservatory & Botanical Gardens!

Celebrate fall with scenery, scents and sounds that mark the arrival of the crisp season. The centerpiece of the display, a 40-foot-tall watermill, creates a soothing environment as a 10-foot-tall papa bear and 6-foot-tall baby bear frolic in a pumpkin patch nearby. Other highlights of the display include an enchanted talking tree surrounded by animated squirrels and horses covered in floral hydrangeas, yarrow and dune grass. Two glittering pergolas, complemented by twinkling birch trees and water arches, are illuminated with fall colors. 

A total of 51,000 fresh seasonal flowers and live pumpkins ranging from 450 to 1,200 pounds will be placed on display throughout the duration of the exhibit.

On view through November 30, the fall display within Bellagio’s Conservatory is complimentary to the public and open seven days a week, 24 hours a day.

Indie Electro Group Capital Cities Concert 9/20 At Downtown Las Vegas Events Center

The Downtown Las Vegas Events Center invites guest to experience live music under the desert sky with its first headlining concert featuring Capital Cities with special guest Joywave. The hit indie bands will take the stage at Downtown Las Vegas’ newest concert and events venue for an energetic live show Saturday, September 20.

Indie electro group Capital Cities shot to fame with the release of its debut EP “Safe and Sound,” which went multi-platinum across several continents. Ryan Merchant and Sebu Simonian are the frontmen behind the breakout alt-dance group. The six-member ensemble has made a name for itself delivering interactive live sets that ignite the audience in dance with its innovative sound. After opening for Katy Perry during her hit world tour and playing at music festivals around the country, including Coachella and SXSW, Capital Cities is embarking on a headlining world tour in fall 2014. Best known for the hit single “Tongues” featuring KOPPS, indie rock group Joywave will open the show in Downtown Las Vegas.

MTV's Late Night Show's Nikki & Sara Coming To Lipshtick On 9/27

LIPSHTICK – THE PERFECT SHADE OF STAND UP continues to bring the best names in comedy to Las Vegas with the announcement of a new show to the all-female comedy series. Hosts of MTV’s late night show Nikki & Sara Live, Nikki Glaser and Sara Schaefer are set to co-headline the Lipshtick stage Saturday, Sept. 27.

Sara Schaefer is a critically acclaimed stand-up comedian and writer currently based in Los Angeles. "Sunday Supper" To Benefit Max Jacobson Coming Up At Carson Kitchen On 9/28

Chefs to the Max will host ‘Sunday Supper’ from 6 to 9 p.m. on Sunday, Sept. 28, at Celebrity Chef Kerry Simon’s new Carson Kitchen in Downtown Las Vegas. The mini dine-around will feature a collaboration of neighborhood off-Strip chefs with 100 percent of proceeds going toward the recovery of Max Jacobson, a popular local food writer from Vegas Seven who was critically injured last December.

“Max Jacobson is, and always will be, an iconic part of the Las Vegas dining family,” said Cory Harwell, managing partner of Simon Hospitality Group. “Kerry and I are excited to host this benefit at our new Downtown restaurant and look forward to supporting Chefs to the Max.”

‘Sunday Supper,’ priced at $75 per person, will be hosted by Carson Kitchen Executive Chef Matt Andrews and feature the cuisine of celebrated local chefs including: Vic "Vegas" Moea of V’s Café; Luciano Pellegrini and José Aleman of Marche Bacchus French Bistro and Wine Shop; Ming See Woo of Fú Asian Kitchen inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino; Paloma Cuellar of La Comida; and Chris Palmeri of Naked City Pizza and Desnudo Tacos. Jacobson suffered traumatic brain injuries when he was struck by a car on Dec. 23 of last year while walking home from the gym. Since April, he has been undergoing rehabilitation in Denver and Omaha, where he has seen tremendous improvements. Jacobson is currently walking and dining out once again and his speech continues to improve.

The Dave Austin Memorial (DAM) Poker Run will be held on Saturday, September 27, beginning and ending at the Boulevard Brew Fest located at the MGM Resort Festival Village. This year, 100% of the event’s proceeds are being donated to local law enforcement and military related  501(c)3 organizations Henry’s Place Foundation, formed in 2006 to honor Las Vegas Metro Sergeant Henry Prendes who gave his life protecting his hometown community, the Injured Police Officers Fund (IPOF) on behalf of fallen Metro officers Soldo and Beck, and the US Air Force’s That Others May Live Foundation.

The entry fee is $30 per driver and $30 per passenger. Each entry includes a DAM Poker Run commemorative t-shirt and ride pin and an individual meal during the event. Additional hands can be purchased for $10. The first 200 registrants also receive a complimentary ticket to the Boulevard Brew Fest which features more than 50 Oregon brews and live music from Kings of Leon, Young The Giant and more.

Over the years, family, friends and bike enthusiasts have gathered to celebrate the life and passions of Dave Austin, a well-known security executive with the Las Vegas Hilton and MGM Grand Resort & Casino. Since he was so respected and revered in the gaming industry and local law enforcement agencies, The Dave Austin Memorial Fund, a 501(c)3 charity, was established as a way to give back to those on his behalf in his memory.

Mob Com Is Coming! Rub Elbows With The Mob & The Law! Only In Vegas!

Many mobsters have written books or been the subject of TV shows or movies, but how often does the general public have the opportunity to meet the real deals and the lawmen who chased them face-to-face and hear stories that might not have been documented?

Mob-Con 2014 is a presentation of Las Vegas entertainer and businessman Robert George Allen and former mobster Frank Cullotta of the Chicago Outfit and infamous Hole in the Wall Gang of Las Vegas. Cullotta and Allen also produce Frank Cullotta’s “Casino” Tour—The Real Story Behind the Movie.

Mob-Con launched in 2013 and was filled to capacity with fans of true crime and Mob history. Las Vegas is famous for its glitz, entertainment and gambling, but also just as famous for its past ties to the Mob, as depicted in books, movies and TV. Sin City, renowned to be like no other, has added its own Mob Convention, Mob-Con, to the unique attractions.

Robert George Allen has spent more than 30 years in show business. He’s been featured on the famous Vegas Strip as a guitarist/vocalist, comedian and hypnotist and appeared as an actor in numerous theater productions, films and on television. For several years he has owned a tour company conducting Mob tours and Haunted Vegas tours.

When asked how this conference came about, Allen said, “I’ve been a part of Las Vegas for many years and Las Vegas is the ideal city to host something like Mob-Con. People are fascinated with the Mob and, without the Mob Las Vegas would not be what it is today.”

Featured speakers include former mobsters, lawmen, true crime writers and historians as well as and people from the entertainment industry. Mob-Con 2014 sets up shop at Palace Station Hotel & Casino on September 27 and 28. Many of the speakers have written at least one book, and they will all be together in the same place at the same time to talk about "the day." Attendees will have the opportunity to hear what these speakers have to say and meet the very people in person they used to read about in the papers or see portrayed on the big screen. It is also an opportunity to acquire signed books and add a piece of Mob history to your personal library.

“Anyone who has an interest in the Mob will not want to miss this event,” Allen added “Mob-Con gives the general public unprecedented access to the individuals who were a part of this history.”
