Slice of Vegas at The Shoppes at Mandalay Place presents new menu additions to highlight their fresh casual Italian fare. From enticing platters to vegetarian–friendly options, Slice of Vegas offers something for everyone.

A popular choice for vegetarians, Slice of Vegas continues to offer options suited for specific diet preferences. Diners can kick their meal off with Sticks and Shrooms ($9.95), a medley of zucchini and mushrooms battered, fried golden brown and served with a house ranch and blue cheese dipping sauce before biting into the Vegan Faux Pie ($18.95 for 12” and $29.95 for 18”) topped with Daiya mozzarella and a hearty mix of vegetables including zucchini, squash, red onion, roasted pepper and eggplant over a house crust and sauce. Another fresh option is the Tuscan Salad ($10.95) made of a spring mix tossed with diced Roma tomatoes, mozzarella cheese, red onion, basil, parsley, toasted bits of herb bread and topped with aged balsamic vinaigrette.

Adding to their signature pies, the BBQ Chicken Pizza ($18.95 for a 12” and $29.95 for an 18”) is topped with a sweet house BBQ sauce, mozzarella, grilled chicken breast, red onions, and chopped basil. Perfect for groups, the Godfather Platter ($27.95) offers Wings, Sticks and Shrooms, Garlic fries, and Mamma’s Garlic Bread served together on a pizza platter with a variety of dipping sauces. On the sandwich side, the Yo, Cheese Steak ($12.95) is made up of thinly sliced beef and topped with peppers, onions, spices, melted provolone cheese and served on a fresh Italian hoagie roll with the choice of fries or a side salad.

Book your football "Field Goal Party" now! Fantasy Football!

As training camps open across the professional football world at the end of July, the annual fantasy football mania will soon follow, and J.C. Wooloughan’s Irish Pub inside Rampart Casino has fantasy managers throughout Las Vegas covered with two draft party packages for the 2012 season.

Guests booking the Field Goal Party package will receive free Wi-Fi internet access. In addition, fantasy draft boards for the 2012 season will be available for rental with this package. Those booking the Touchdown Party package will receive a private, reserved draft area inside J.C. Wooloughan’s, free Wi-Fi internet access, fantasy draft boards for the 2012 season and $10 in free slot or match play for up to 10 people (must be Rampart Rewards members). The Touchdown Party also requires a $200 food and beverage minimum, and any group that books this package by Tuesday, July 31 will receive $25 towards the minimum.

Whether booking the Field Goal Party or Touchdown Party, all guests can take advantage of food and drink specials during their fantasy football draft. The pub will offer $5.99 Angus burgers, $10 domestic beer pitchers and $13 import beer pitchers during all draft parties.

Carrot Top fulfills Top Gun fantasy!

Comedian Carrot Top, known for his fire red hair and wild props, took on the adventure-of-a-lifetime with Sky Combat Ace (SCA) – Vegas’ most extreme attraction. The funnyman suited up for a thrilling flight filled with spins, barrel rolls, hammerheads and loops miles above the glittering Strip. He took to the Nevada skies battling his F-16 pilot brother, fulfilling his Top Gun fantasy. Instead of “Maverick,” he opted to go by the call sign “Gambler” in true Vegas fashion. Carrot Top took the controls of the fighter jet for an aerial dogfight, feeling the thrill of “the kill” as he scored two “hits” and smoke flowed from his brother’s plane thanks to SCA’s special effects.
