The State Department, the U.S. Agency for International Development and the Office of Foreign Disaster Assistance are working in conjunction with California Task Force 2 (CA-TF2), a FEMA urban search and rescue task force based in Los Angeles County. Frankie Avalon and Bobby Rydell are universally known as two of the original teenage idols of early rock ‘n’ roll. From January 15-17, Avalon and Rydell will bring their incomparable voices and generation-defining songs to the Orleans Showroom for a three-night engagement.
Childhood friends from the same south Philadelphia neighborhood, Avalon and Rydell first teamed up on a band called Rocco and the Saints, with Avalon on trumpet and Rydell on drums. But it was their voices that would establish both performers as two of the biggest pop music stars of the pre-Beatles era.
Known as a child prodigy on the trumpet, Avalon was deemed a virtuoso by a member of the Philadelphia Symphony Orchestra, and made several guest appearances on The Perry Como Show and the Jackie Gleason Show. But it was his 1957 single “Dee Dee Dinah” that established Avalon as a singing sensation, quickly selling more than a million copies. Numerous gold albums and hit singles followed, including “Venus,” “Bobby Sox to Stockings,” “Just Ask Your Heart,” and “Why.”
Not to be outdone by his friend, Rydell recorded his first single hit in 1959 with “Kissin’ Time.” Over the next several years Rydell established himself as a teenage sensation with 34 Top 40 hits, including “We Got Love,” “ “Wild One,” “That Old Black Magic,” “I’ll Never Dance Again” and “Forget Him.” He was later recognized by Billboard as one of the Top Five Artists of the early ‘60s.

At the newly opened Vanity nightclub: Jason Giambi celebrated his 39th birthday with friends. A.J. McLean of the Backstreet Boys along with his fiancé Rochelle Karidis were also seen celebrating their recent engagement at the club. Giambi, a co-owner of the club, presented McLean and Karidis with a bottle of champagne to congratulate them on their engagement.

Saturday night Kid Rock dined with friends inside the private dining room at TAO Asian Bistro before heading upstairs to the new exclusive elevated VIP sky box overlooking the moat section and the entire club. Rock drank Jim Beam and Pepsi while enjoying cigars and as ladies clamored to get close to the rock star. DJ Vice unsuccessfully egged him on to come to the DJ booth to spin, but the entire group, which included comedians David Spade and Dana Carvey, did get up and dance any time Vice played a Kid Rock song.
Sitting at the next table over was the night’s host Stormy Daniels. The adult film star arrived directly from the industry awards party earlier in the evening. After walking the TAO red carpet Daniels was joined by friends and checked out the scene from her perch high in the club with a glass of Veuve Clicquot in hand.
Spotted earlier in the evening was the young Hollywood coupling of Jessica Lowndes and Aaron Paul. The 90210 beauty and the Breaking Bad actor were very affectionate throughout a dinner of TAO favorites.
Over at LAVO, adult industry stars Lexi Love, Angelina Armani, Alexis Ford and Mariah Milano gathered for the Adam & Eve Awards After Party.

Celebrity Engagement!! She said YES at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino! Who?
Backstreet Boy A.J. McLean seen hanging out with his girlfriend Rochelle Karidis and a group of friends at Wasted Space inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday, Jan. 8. While at Wasted Space, McLean snuck out to purchase a gift for his girlfriend at Rocks – The Jewelers, he had originally decided on a bracelet but instead picked out an engagement ring. McLean quickly rushed back to the club and at exactly midnight, the morning of his birthday, he jumped on stage. He asked his girlfriend to join him and when she did, the singer dropped down on one knee and proposed. She said “Yes!” and the crowd went crazy. McLean and his fiancée are currently staying in the new HRH Tower Spa Suite.

N9NE Steakhouse inside Palms Casino Resort hosted to a number of celebrity guests Friday night(1.8.10). Andre Agassi and Stefanie Graf had dinner and were joined by two friends. The two tennis stars split a Garbage Salad, followed by a Filet and a side of Sautéed Green Beans. They were seen sipping on cocktails and left the restaurant around 10:30 p.m.
In the private dining room, NFL player for the Pittsburgh Steelers Hines Ward enjoyed dinner with a party of eight. He sipped on Ketel One mixed drinks and started with the signature rock shrimp and calamari. For his main course, Ward indulged in the Filet with sides of Mac and Cheese, Creamed Corn and Lobster Mashed Potatoes.
Other guests included: singer-songwriter Kid Rock who dined with a large party of 12, including George Maloof; wrapper Xzibit with three friends; owner of the Dallas Mavericks Mark Cuban who sat in the lounge for a short while; and rapper Too Short who was accompanied by eight people and at the end of dinner, signed Chef Barry’s famous door.
At Rain Nightclub, resident DJ Z-Trip spun his famous mash-up and was joined by Xzibit and Too Short who treated the crowd to a special performance. They sat at the VIP table near the DJ booth with friends.
Seattle Seahawks players Sean Locklear and Robert Sims were also at Rain Nightclub.
Ward was also spotted at Rain Nightclub following his dinner. He enjoyed the scene at a VIP table on the dance floor and was joined by other NFL athletes James Farrior (Pittsburgh Steelers), Trevor Townsend (Pittsburgh Steelers) and Kevin Payne (Chicago Bears). The group later made their way up to Playboy Club, which was hosting the official BurningAngel.com AVN pre-party. They sat at a VIP table and were joined by friends, including retired NFL player Harry James Sharper. They also made their way to Moon Nightclub where they sipped on Ketel One mixed drinks and FIJI Water.
Also at Moon Nightclub, which was hosting the official Sinnergy Entertainment and Rockstar Porn Star AVN party, were rapper Xzibit and actor Richard Dreyfuss who partied with friends and sipped on Ketel One mixed drinks as well as adult entertainment stars Alexis Texas and Jenna Haze and Kid Rock.

Good Morning Pawpals!! Hope everyone had a great week-end! Because week-ends are made for fun:) I am going to try and get into contact with my inner dog. My birthday is on May 13....and the year is unimportant..BOL!! So I am a Taurus no not the car but the bull! (Okay so that was kinda lame!) My strongest traits are being honest and having integrity and being dependable..check on all of those. What else...I am not a risk taker and can be your friend for life!
