WOW! Steve Steiner From Minnesota Wins A NEW Camaro At LVMS
![]() |
| Steve Steiner |
In the end, Steve Steiner from Spring Lake Park, MN, clocked the fastest time, finishing the Camaro Challenge in a blistering 11.746 seconds. John Kreymborg from Southampton, NY, finished in second and Emil Zarn from Durant, OK, finished in third.
“It’s unbelievable. I mean it, I can’t believe that this just happened!” Steiner said. “This is definitely the coolest trophy I could ever imagine, and I can’t thank GEARWRENCH enough for giving me this opportunity and this experience. It’s a dream come true.”
Steiner, an architectural sheet metal foreman, husband and father of one, took the challenge originally at an Acme Tools when he was picking up equipment for work. Afterward, he wasn’t thrilled with his time, so he went home and built a replica of the setup and practiced. Once he got his time down, he made plans to travel to Green Bay, Wisconsin, to take the Challenge again. There, he set the fastest time in the nation and carried that momentum all the way to Las Vegas.
“This has been an amazing opportunity for us to see the people who build and maintain our country get excited and show off their skills,” said GEARWRENCH Marketing Manager Rena Fiorello. “So often they work behind the scenes on things other people take for granted, so giving them the stage and the spotlight in Las Vegas feels like the least we can do. And as fun as it’s been for them, I know we’ve enjoyed it just the same.”
While in Las Vegas, the finalists had the opportunity to meet NASCAR driver Jamie McMurray and other members of the Chip Ganassi Racing Team. The top 50 finishers will receive GEARWRENCH gear, while the top 10 will receive $1,000 in GEARWRENCH tools.

“I’m super excited to perform the National Anthem for the DC Solar 300 race at Las Vegas Motor Speedway, it’s a dream come true.” La Mala said. “This will be my first NASCAR race, and I can’t wait to be a part of it. I will be wishing all the drivers luck as they compete for the championship, and it’s going to be a fun day!”
La Mala, who was included in Billboard’s “Latin Artists to Watch” article in 2015, is very active on social media. She has a presence on Twitter (@VictoriaLaMala), Instagram (www.Instagram.com/victorialamala) and Facebook (www.Facebook.com/VictoriaLaMala).
