GOLDEN NUGGET LAS VEGAS 52 FRIDAYS PERFORMERS

Feb. 5 - Blood, Sweat and Tears featuring Bo Bice
Founder Al Kooper conceived Blood, Sweat and Tears as an experiment in expanding the size and scope of the rock band with touches of jazz, blues, classical and folk music. When Kooper was forced out of the band soon after its eclectic debut, "Child Is Father to the Man," Blood, Sweat and Tears became increasingly identified as a "jazz-rock" group. Now, featuring American Idol's Bo Bice on vocals, Blood, Sweat and Tears is better than ever. Reestablishing themselves as one of the greatest touring acts around, this GRAMMY Award-winning group will perform their greatest hits including "You Made Me So Very Happy," "Spinning Wheel," and "Hi-De-Ho."

Feb. 12 - Christopher Cross
Singer-songwriter Christopher Cross was by far the biggest new star of 1980, virtually defining adult contemporary radio with a series of smoothly sophisticated ballads including the number one hit, "Sailing." Christopher Cross' 1980 self-titled debut album with the lead single "Ride Like the Wind" rocketed to the number two spot, and the massive success of the second single "Sailing" made Cross a superstar. In the wake of two more top twenty hits, "Never Be the Same" and "Say You'll Be Mine," he walked off with an unprecedented and record-setting five GRAMMYs in 1981, including Best New Artist and Song of the Year. To date, Cross is the only artist to have won Record of the Year, Album of the Year, Song of the Year, and Best New Artist all in the same year.

Feb. 19 - J.T. Taylor: Voice of Kool & the Gang
James "J.T." Taylor, lead singer for Kool & the Gang from 1979 to 1988, presided over the group's commercial, if not artistic, peak of the early to mid-80s. Although top ten placements were frequent from 1982 through 1987, Taylor left the band for a solo career in 1988, thanks in large part to the band's success. After signing to Epic Records in 1988, Taylor found success with several hits, including "All I Want Is Forever" and "Long Hot Summer Night." Most recently, Taylor released a new version of the band's 1983 song "Joanna," in 2013.

Feb. 26 - Johnny Rivers
Renowned rock and roll singer, songwriter, guitarist and record producer Johnny Rivers takes the stage for the first time at the Golden Nugget. With 17 songs in the Top 40, more than 25 million records sold in the '60s and '70s, and a powerful force in regaining an American foothold in the midst of Beatlemania, Rivers is an award-winning, world-class entertainer. Rivers was raised in Baton Rouge and, after learning to play the guitar from his father, began playing professionally at age 14, when he formed his first band. He went on to bring together the rhythm section that would define the West Coast sound of the '60s. Don't miss Rivers perform his top hits including "Baby I Need Your Lovin," "Secret Agent Man," and "Memphis."

March 4 - Gin Blossoms
Formed in 1987 in Tempe, Arizona, the Gin Blossoms are a pop/rock band known for their southwestern sound and dominating the alternative rock era in the '90s. With hits like "Hey Jealousy," "Found Out About You," and "Follow You Down," the Gin Blossoms have earned several platinum albums and a GRAMMY nomination.

March 11 - America
Formed in England in the '70s, America achieved significant popularity for the trio's close vocal harmonies and light acoustic folk sound. Multi-instrumentalists Dewey Bunnell, Dan Peek, and Gerry Beckley debuted their self-titled album in 1971, which produced the transatlantic hits "A Horse with No Name" and "I Need You." In 1974, America came roaring back into the forefront with chart toppers like "Tin Man" and "Lonely People" and again in 1975 with number one singles "Sister Golden Hair" and "Daisy Jane."

March 18 - Eddie Money
