The highly anticipated Fireworks Over Pahrump is located one mile west on Gamebird Rd. right off of Highway 160, and will open on Dec. 30, 31, and Jan. 1 from 8 p.m. to midnight.

Alcohol consumption prior and during firework handling will not be tolerated.

There are sixteen designated launch sites with a first come, first serve regulation as well as a maximum of two persons on each site and cap of 128 shooters per night. Those wanting to observe the glittering show of lights can watch them safely in a nearby parking lot.

On the occasion of playing the first show at Las Vegas Arena, The Killers sent a note saying:

"Notorious libertines of the unofficial Republic of Vegas, rejoice! We are very pleased to be able to pay our gambling debts by playing a show, uhhum, the first show, at Las Vegas Arena!  Plus, we're bringing some Las Vegas newcomers to help us as well: Wayne Newton and Shamir!  Please join us for fun and be sure to bring a positive mental attitude, and the deed to your house if need be. Peace and love,
Los Killers"

The Killers are a Las Vegas-based four-piece band who formed in 2003, featuring the talents of singer/keyboardist Brandon Flowers, drummer Ronnie Vanucci, guitarist Dave Keuning and bassist Mark Stoermer. The band has received countless accolades for their artistic achievement, including multiple GRAMMY nominations, American Music Award nominations, MTV Video Music Awards, NME Awards and more. Their first album, Hot Fuss, was released in 2004 to worldwide acclaim. The album contained the singles “Mr. Brightside” and “Somebody Told Me” in addition to the anthemic song “All These Things That I’ve Done.” Their next album, Sam’s Town, was released in 2006 and spent 42 weeks on the Billboard Top 200. The Killers have appeared three times on Saturday Night Live, in addition to performances on The Tonight Show, The Late Show with David Letterman and more. Their third studio album, Day & Age, was released to widespread critical praise in 2008. The Killers released their most recent album, Battle Born, in September 2012. His debut EP “Northtown” was released in 2014, and his first LP, Ratchet, was released in May 2015.

"Staying open makes it easy, convenient and most of all, safe, for those who want be out and about that night without having to worry about drinking and driving."

The Monorail has five stations along the Las Vegas Strip: MGM Grand; Bally’s/Paris Las Vegas; Flamingo/Caesars Palace; Harrah’s/The LINQ and SLS Las Vegas. Two more stations are located at the Las Vegas Convention Center and Westgate Resort & Casino.

SLS Las Vegas, the northernmost stop of the Monorail, has free parking during New Year’s Eve. Locals and visitors alike can start their celebration at one of SLS’ many dining or entertainment venues and use the Monorail to travel the busy Las Vegas Strip.

Still Plenty Of Time To Be Piffed! Shows To Benefit NSPCA

‘Tis the season to be jolly and who better to lead the way than Las Vegas’ own resident ray of sunshine, Piff the Magic Dragon. For 10 shows this December, the “America’s Got Talent” star and the world’s most popular magic dragon will take a break from The Piff The Magic Dragon Show to spread holiday cheer like a particularly irritating rash. With a sleigh of new tricks and a special guest appearance from Mr. Piffles the Red Nose Chihuahua, Piff’s Piffmas Piff-Tacular will run Monday, Dec. 21 through Wednesday, Dec. 30 inside the Bugsy’s Cabaret at Flamingo Las Vegas.

“It's Christmas again! That magical time of year when families come together from all over the world and remember why they live so far apart,” said Piff The Magic Dragon. “Being the last of my species I don't get to participate in this, so I've decided to break my regular tradition of staring competitions with Mr. Piffles and invite everyone around for some festive fun. And by fun I mean Magic Tricks and Mild Chihuahua Peril.”

In addition to providing holiday cheer for all of Las Vegas, Piff will make the season a bit more enjoyable for some of Las Vegas’ favorite furry friends. Each show will culminate with the auction of Piff’s Magic Muffin, with sales directly benefiting the Nevada Society For the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals (NSPCA) and their dog shelter program.

“My Magic Muffin will be sourced from the finest/closest Starbucks to the dressing room, provided they are willing to do a bulk discount on two-week old, stale produce,” said Piff. This one-of-a-kind treat will remind one lucky bidder of the real meaning of Christmas... Eating followed by regret.”

With more than 30 million views online, Piff the Magic Dragon became the breakout star of the 10th season of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent,” gaining more than 250,000 new followers on social media. Howard Stern and Howie Mandel were huge fans and singled Piff out as one of the funniest and most unique acts in the history of the show. America agreed and voted Piff into the finals.

Piff’s Piffmas Piff-Tacular will be performed Monday, Dec. 21 through Wednesday, Dec. 30 at 8 p.m. inside Bugsy’s Cabaret at Flamingo Las Vegas. Tickets are $49.95 plus tax and fees for general admission, $59.95 plus tax and fees for VIP, $69.95 plus tax and fees for Circle of Trust and $100 plus tax and fees for a special Pifftacular VIP meet and greet.
