Prix-Fixe Menu Available For Thanksgiving Dinner At TREVI

TREVI Italian Restaurant located in The Forum Shops at Caesars will celebrate Thanksgiving Day with a special prix-fixe menu available exclusively on Thursday, Nov. 26.

TREVI’s three-course meal will be priced at $35 per person and feature a first course of either roasted pumpkin soup or a roasted fall vegetable salad. The second course will offer a traditional Thanksgiving plate including a Diestel turkey, mashed potatoes, yams, green beans and gravy giblet. The dessert course will feature a pumpkin and Nutella budino with vanilla gelato.

Runners In Geico Rock 'n' Roll LV Marathon...Take The Monorail!

Runners participating in the GEICO Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon & ½ Marathon can save their legs for the race and ride the Monorail! With the Strip closed for the big races on Nov. 15, the Las Vegas Monorail is aiming to rescue runners from logging extra miles getting to and from the start and finish lines and the three-day Health & Fitness Expo. The Monorail is the most efficient and cost-effective way to navigate the Strip during the Marathon, and they’re offering discounts up to 25 percent for multi-day passes purchased prior to Nov. 13 so it’s even easier to ride.

“We’re excited to partner with the GEICO Rock ‘n’ Roll Las Vegas Marathon & ½ Marathon again this year and help runners ‘save their legs for the race,’” said Ingrid Reisman, vice president and chief marketing officer, the Las Vegas Monorail Company.  “We’re happy to provide runners and race enthusiasts a convenient way to navigate the Strip and race activities throughout race weekend, especially with the closure of Las Vegas Boulevard during the events on Sunday.”

The Monorail route includes a stop at the Las Vegas Convention Center, located east of the Strip on Paradise Road, the site of the Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon’s Health & Fitness Expo. The expo takes place Nov. 12 – 14. All runners must report to this site to pick up their bibs, t-shirts and gear check bags.

Saturday, Nov. 14, 4:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. Brooks Rock ‘n’ Roll 5K presented by SLS Las Vegas at the Las Vegas Festival Grounds:

Sunday, Nov. 15, 4 p.m. 10K Start Line & Runner Exit:
Closest Monorail stop to start line is SLS Las Vegas Station;
Monorail stop for finish line and runner exit is Flamingo/Caesars Palace Station.
Sunday, Nov. 15, 4:30 p.m. – 10 p.m. Marathon & ½ Marathon:

Closest Monorail stop for finish line spectator viewing Harrah’s/LINQ station.
Closest Monorail stop for runner exit is Flamingo/Caesars Palace Station.
Strip closures begin as early as 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, Nov. 15. Roads re-open as runners clear, though the finish line section will not re-open until 2 a.m.

Marathon runners and spectators may purchase exclusive discounted Monorail passes online at tickets.lvmonorail.com/marathon2015. Single rides start at $5, with a 25 percent discount applying to all advance purchases by Nov. 12 of multi-use passes ranging from 2 to 7 days of unlimited travel. Plus, a variety of other perks are being offered to Marathon participants at properties along the Monorail’s route. Perks for individuals presenting their “Runner Perks” wristbands range from complimentary VIP entry and 1-hour open bar at Hakkasan at MGM Grand, to special spa prices at The LINQ, to 2-for-1 draft beer at Umami Burger at SLS Las Vegas.

The Warm + Fuzzy - Bulleit rye whiskey, walnut liqueur, cold brew, pumpkin spice. As a whiskey lover it is hard to find a whiskey drink that I do not like but this drink is an another stratosphere of taste. The whiskey is warm and the pumpkin spice brings on the fuzzy! A whiskey drink that warms your stomach and tastes like the holidays? A WINNER!

What makes Sushi Roku such a great lunch and dinner choice? There is something on the menu for every palate. Are you a die hard sushi fan? If so you are in luck because these two new additions to the menu are sure to have sushi aficionados coming back for more and more!

Spicy Panko Shrimp Roll - cucumber, spicy mayo, spicy tuna, sliced serrano chili with eel sauce and Sriracha sauce. - What an amazing combination of flavors! The richness of the eel sauce combined with the spicy mayo and tuna creates an interesting fabulous combination.

White Lotus Roll

White Lotus Roll - popcorn shrimp, asparagus, topped with albacore and jalapeno, served with truffle soy sauce and crispy onions. Albacore and jalapeno? YOU BET!! The spiciness of the jalapeno along with the crunchy taste of shrimp and  truffle soy sauce create a foodie’s sushi dream!

Lobster Tempura

One dish that is not new to the menu but is a SURE-FIRE palate pleaser...the Lobster Tempura. A tasty lightly breaded lobster dish that is as addictive as anything could possibly be. The sweetness of the sauce along with the tenderness of the lobster create an unbeatable combination. You will enjoy, enjoy, enjoy this dish and it is served in the lobster tail which creates fun creative plating.  

Seared Sea Scallops & Wild Mushroom Tobanyaki

Enjoy mushrooms much? The earthiness of mushrooms have always appealed to my taste buds. If you try the Seared Sea Scallops and Wild Mushroom Tobanyaki you will be in mushroom heaven. By taking the earthiness and pairing it with the offerings of the sea, scallops, the chef has created a masterpiece! This dish was a big big hit with the table and had people ooohing and awwing. FYI - "toban yaki" refers to the method of cooking on a ceramic plate.

New Zealand Lamb T-Bone 

Saving the best for last. This dish was the definite star of the evening, the New Zealand Lamb T-Bone with truffle chimichurri and grilled onion. Simply amazing taste. Charred to perfection on the outside and pink on the inside this juicy succulent lamb t-bone was PERFECT! Yes we have all had lamb chops but a lamb t-bone? Delicate and delicious. So delicious in fact that the topic of conversation was to gnaw on the bone or not? With meat this tasty and wonderful you want to get every morsel, so gnawing on the bone was deemed acceptable and we all gnawed happily away.

Dessert oh dessert how did I have room for you? Yes room was made for:

Pumpkin Cheesecake - with white Oreo cookie crust (YES oreo crust!!)

Pumpkin Mousse -  served inside mini pumpkins.

Both of these desserts offered the perfect finish to this fabulous dining experience at Sushi Roku. The pumpkin cheesecake was creamy, rich and with the white oreo crust the best pumpkin cheesecake I have ever tasted. When ordering the pumpkin mousse keep in mind that this light airy flavorful mousse is cooked in the mini-pumpkins and you can if you would like, eat the fibrous pumpkin inside!

RHUMBAR Introduces "Cinn City Santa" So Drink UP!

Tis’ the season to be tipsy! Holiday fever has officially hit RHUMBAR, located at The Mirage Hotel & Casino, with the introduction of its new holiday cocktail, the “Cinn City Santa” available starting Tuesday, Dec. 1 through Monday, Feb. 29.

The Cinn City Santa is a mixture of Kilo Kai spiced rum, Velvet Falernum, Giffard Orgeat, cranberry purée, lime juice and a dash of Peychaud’s bitters. Served on the rocks and garnished with a cinnamon stick and Madagascar vanilla bean, the cocktail is priced at $12.
