The 2016-Model Motor Trend International Auto Show is bringing more than 350 all-new vehicles, test drives, exotics, alternative fuel vehicles and more to the Las Vegas Convention Center (3150 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, NV 89109), Friday, November 27 through Sunday, November 29, 2015. An annual Thanksgiving weekend tradition, the convention center will be transformed into an automotive paradise and the “new car smell” aroma will fill Halls N-3 and N-4. Open to the public and offering free parking in Silver Lots 1 and 2, area residents can explore the latest cars and trucks, learn about new technology and get a jump-start on researching their next new vehicle purchase at the auto show.
More than 20 manufacturers are participating this year, and many exciting all-new or redesigned vehicles will be making an appearance including the 2016 Honda Civic, Jeep Renegade, Chevrolet Volt, Dodge Challenger SRT Hellcat, Ford Mustang and many more, featuring new vehicle technology like adaptive cruise control and blind spot detection. With so many new vehicles to survey, the auto show is the ideal place to compare features and test drive multiple vehicles in a no-pressure, non-selling environment.
The show will also feature the Ford Go Further Ride and Drive and the Toyota Drive Center in addition to all the new vehicles inside the Las Vegas Convention Center. Both test drive events will allow show attendees to get behind the wheel and get a real feel for several types of vehicles. Test drives are included with the price of auto show admission and will operate each day between 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. for Ford and 9 a.m. and 5 p.m. for Toyota. Participants must a present valid driver’s license before taking a test drive. Toyota vehicles available for test drives are the Camry, Corolla, RAV4 or Tacoma, while Ford will have its Focus, Fusion, Escape, Edge and Explorer on-site (vehicles subject to change).
Luxury car enthusiasts will not want to miss duPont Registry Live, a collection of premier, high-end luxury and unique vehicles and the Million Dollar Exotic Vehicle Display showcasing ultra exotic vehicles, courtesy of Lamborghini Las Vegas. These high-end models are built for power, rocketing to 60 mph in under 3 seconds and offer an escape from the ordinary commute. Show goers will also get the chance to view and experience a display of tricked-out and customized vehicles like the Audi R8 at the Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA) show, courtesy of Team Hybrid and M2M Motoring.
This year, the auto show has teamed up with Three Square Food Bank in an effort to eradicate hunger in Southern Nevada. Show attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable, canned food or personal hygiene items to the event as a donation.
