Crazy Pita Town Square partners with Paint and Party Las Vegas throughout the summer offering guests Paint–Drink-Dine events. Guests get the option to choose from multiple portraits to paint and learn from local artists while creating a beautiful piece of artwork to keep or give as a gift. The cost is $30 per person, $20 for children 16 and under. That price includes painting materials and supplies along with one appetizer per table. Thirty beautiful models competed to be the new legs of the D Las Vegas’ famous billboard on Thursday, July 30. For a chance at the title of “Miss D Legs” and a $5,000 prize, the ladies posed with their hot red high heels in the air on the D’s LONGBAR while celebrity judges selected a winner. The panel included the cast of the D’s new residency Aussie Hunks, a sultry hip-hop Australian male revue that is set to debut tonight, Friday, July 31, in the D Showroom. On hand was the D’s, owner Derek Stevens, who posed with the stunning contestants in front of the D Bar.

Towbin Fiat Shows Great Community Spirit!

Towbin Automotive and Ally Bank came together on Wednesday to pay the remaining balance of the late Cassandra Cassidy’s beloved FIAT for her mother and sister.

Cassidy was killed at the age of 24 in April in a drive-by shooting outside of a halfway house where she worked. She was reportedly attempting to assist two women who felt threatened by men near the car, when the men opened fire from a moving vehicle. Cassidy was hit by the gunfire and died from her wounds.

Her family started a GoFundMe account in an effort to raise money to pay off her FIAT, which was Cassandra’s first new car purchase and was her favorite color, teal. She had purchased the car at Towbin FIAT/Alfa Romeo on Sahara Ave. in Las Vegas.

“Cassandra has a car that she worked so very hard to save her down payment for, qualify for loan on own , then worked full time while going to school full time,” said her mother, Carol Kirkum, via the GoFundMe page. “We want to pay off that loan and keep her car and treasure it as a valued memory of our Sunshine.”

Towbin Automotive co-owner, Josh “Chop” Towbin, read about the effort on Wednesday morning and immediately reached out to the family to donate the remaining money needed to save the car.

“We are trying to bring some good into an otherwise tragic situation,” said Towbin. “This family has already lost more than anyone should; and this FIAT serves as a special bond and memory of Cassandra. It should remain with them and be a reminder of their beautiful daughter. We believe in supporting our FIAT family through thick and thin and this is the least we can do to help our family.”

Towbin presented the car to Kirkum and her other daughter, Chelsea, at an emotional display at Towbin FIAT/Alfa Romeo, where Cassandra had signed the wall, naming her car, “Ophelia,” as a tradition with her new purchase.

Lollapalooza Kicked Off In Chicago With Brody Jenner

Reality star and entertainer, Brody Jenner, kicked off Lollapalooza weekend with a guest DJ set on Thursday night at Parliament Chicago.

Sporting a baseball tee and flat bill hat, Jenner arrived at the stylish lounge shortly after midnight. The budding DJ posed for photos and met with fans before heading into the DJ booth to spin alongside DJ Devin Lucien. Playing a mix of hip-hop, pop and EDM, Jenner charmed the crowd with his musical talent and thanked partygoers and Parliament Chicago for hosting him.

The party raged on until the early hours of the morning, as Jenner and Lucien closed out the night with a mix of "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve.

He was dropped off at a high kill shelter in California and was covered in fleas. Codey Bear was frightened alone and very dispirited. He was rescued by Adopt A Rescue Pet and has spent his rehabbing adjustment time at The Pom Palace.

Codey Bear has a loving heart and a lot of life! He loves to go on walks and explore the neighborhood. PLUS he loves to watch TV and finds dogs and other animals fascinating. He just had his teeth fixed and had a little non-cancerous tumor that was removed from his front leg. Were these the reasons that Codey Bear was dumped? Or was it because he like a vast majority of Poms suffers from a collapsing trachea? This is why he has a "dry cough." We will never know but what we do know is this dog is worth his weight in gold. What he needs is a wonderful home where he will be the center of attention and have love love love. With good nutrition Poms have been known to have a life span of 20 years! So do not let the fact that he is approx. 11 years old stop you from considering this beautiful large pom.

Codey Bear loves to hug and loves to have his ears scratched. He is house trained and also will use the piddy pads during the day. (Should you decide to add Codey Bear to your family a home check will be done.)

Multi-talented musical siblings The Bacon Brothers will perform their only West Coast appearance at The Orleans Showroom, Aug. 1 and 2.

Long before Kevin Bacon starred in “Footloose,” launching his prolific acting career, and before Michael Bacon became known as an Emmy Award-winning composer for film and television, they were just two brothers growing up in Philadelphia with a shared love and passion for music.

The Bacon Brothers Band formed in 1995 and is known for its gritty rock and Philly soul. The band consists of six members including Michael Bacon on vocals, guitar and cello; Kevin Bacon on vocals, guitar and percussion; Paul Guzzone on bass guitar and backing vocals; Joe Mennonna on keyboards and accordion; Frank Vilardi on drums; and Ira Siegel on lead guitar, mandolin and backing vocals.

In 2008, the brothers released “New Years Day,” with Kevin composing the majority of the album’s songs. The Bacon Brother’s newest album “36 ¢,” is a combination of fast-picking country with glimpses of hip-hop, English countryside plucks and Alanis Morissette cover song “You Learn,” including “Above The Clouds,” “Kiss Your Mother” and the title track.
