From beach to restaurant to club, TAO was the place to be on Saturday of fight weekend.

Fabolous hosted the season grand opening at TAO Beach during the afternoon.  The rapper took over the stage and wowed a packed fight weekend crowd with an energetic performance. DJ Khaled was spotted taking in the sun soaked scene as was Antoine Bethea, safety for the San Francisco 49ers.

After the bout, Warner Music owner Len Blavatnik, Fox chair Rupert Murdoch, business magnate Ron Burkle, actor Bradley Cooper and director Spike Lee were all spotted dining at separate tables at TAO Asian Bistro.

Snoop Dogg took over TAO nightclub for a special fight weekend edition of The Snoopadelic Cabaret.  There he performed some of his biggest hits while also spinning a specially curated set for a crowd that included Spike Lee and Flava Flav, who each spent time visiting Snoop in the booth, along with Michael Strahan.

Celebrating the music, art and culture behind EDC, the charitable initiative gives fans the chance to create a priceless experience with performing artists during the week leading up to North America’s largest dance music festival, EDC Las Vegas. Letter Carriers Food Drive "Stamp Out Hunger" Takes Place Saturday 5/9

Local letter carriers will collect non-perishable food items, such as cereal, pasta and rice, on Saturday, May 9, 2015 as part of the National Association of Letter Carriers’ Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive. 

To participate, all you have to do is leave the food items in a bag by (or in) your mailbox, and your letter carriers will pick them up.

The Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive is a national event.  More than 10,000 cities and towns across the nation will participate in raising national awareness about the ongoing problem of hunger in every community.  This is the largest one-day food drive in America and is always held on the second Saturday in May to prepare food pantries for the summer months.

Last year in Southern Nevada, the Stamp Out Hunger Food Drive collected more than 200,000 pounds of food, which was then distributed to about a dozen local food pantries. Nationally, individuals donated more than 72 million pounds of food in 2014, which marked the eleventh consecutive year that at least 70 million pounds were collected.

“The need in Southern Nevada is real.  We see it everyday while on our mail routes,” said Glenn Norton, president of the National Association of Letter Carriers (NALC) Branch 2502, representing Las Vegas. “We urge the community to simply put a few food items out by their mailbox on Saturday, May 9 and we’ll make sure those items get to a local food pantry.  Together we can make a big difference.”
