NASCAR race driver Michael McDowell was spotted at Blue Man Group inside Monte Carlo Resort and Casino on Saturday, March 7. He went backstage after the performance for a private VIP meet-and-greet with cast members.

The next day, McDowell tweeted, “Saw Blue Man Group last night at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino. It was awesome. Fun for all ages.”

LV's 51s Baseball Team & CCCN Offer FREE Sunscreen To Fans

The Las Vegas 51s professional baseball team of the Pacific Coast League (PCL), Triple-A affiliate of the New York Mets and the 2013 & 2014 Pacific Conference Southern Division Champions, announced today they have teamed up with Comprehensive Cancer Centers of Nevada (CCCN) to offer complimentary sunscreen at Cashman Field during the 2015 baseball season. The sunscreen will be available beginning with the Big League Weekend “day game” between the Chicago Cubs vs. Oakland A’s on Saturday, March 14 at 12:05 p.m. CCCN medical oncologist Dr. Paul Michael will throw out the ceremonial first pitch at the game.

Fans will be able to protect themselves from potentially harmful UV-A and UV-B rays by visiting one of two CCCN sunscreen kiosks on the main concourse at the ballpark. Additionally, skin-safety messages will be displayed on the videoboard and public address announcements will remind guests to stay proactive with skin protection. Cashman Field ushers will also have a supply of complimentary sunscreen available for fans, so they may conveniently reapply during the game. 

“Awareness as well as a preventative approach are critical in preventing skin damage and potentially skin cancer,” said James Kilber, executive director of CCCN. “So many of our local families enjoy a trip out to Cashman Field each year. We hope everyone will take advantage of the free sunscreen and skin safety messages this season as they cheer on the 51s to victory.”

The partnership offers complimentary SPF 30 sunscreen to the projected 300,000 plus fans that will visit Cashman Field throughout the summer. The 51s have 11 day games scheduled at Cashman Field during its 2015 season.

“We are excited with the partnership with CCCN and it will provide the fans at the ballpark an opportunity to apply sunscreen during the matinee games at Cashman Field,” 51s President/COO Don Logan said. “The awareness of skin cancer is very important and with the help of CCCN, it will provide a safer experience for both the players and fans this season.”

The 51s open their 33rd season of play in the Silver State against the Fresno Grizzlies, Triple-A affiliate of the Houston Astros, on Thursday, April 9 at Chukchansi Park. Las Vegas will begin the 2015 campaign with an eight-game road trip in Northern California against Fresno (April 9-12) and the Sacramento River Cats, Triple-A affiliate of the San Francisco Giants, from April 13-16.

Shaquille O’Neal’s Next All-Star Comedy Jam tour will stop at Access Showroom inside Aliante Casino + Hotel + Spa for two shows at 8 and 10:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 28. The stand-up shows will be hosted by Faizon Love featuring comedians Aida Rodriguez, Billy Sorrells and Kelly “K-Dub” Walker.

Love has been in the entertainment industry for more than 10 years and boasts a career that has spanned from TV to the big screen, with roles in “That’s So Raven,” “My Name Is Earl,” and “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia;” along with movie credits in “Friday,” “B*A*P*S,” “Couples Retreat” and as the disgruntled department store manager in the holiday classic, “Elf.” Love previously hosted the All-Star Comedy Jam in 2013, which aired on Showtime and was release for DVD purchase.

Rodriguez was most recently a competitor on the eighth season of NBC’s hit show, “Last Comic Standing.” She has traveled the country performing stand-up routines and has been featured on numerous TV and radio broadcast programs including “Hot Topics with Judge Joe Brown,” Nickelodeon’s “Mom’s Night Out,” and “Parental Discretion.”

Sorrells found his fame on YouTube appearing as “Peaches” in the popular videos, “Sh-t Black Girls Say,” that has amassed more than 15 million views. In 2012, he worked the red carpet as a correspondent for the Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards and is currently connecting with the station on an original sketch comedy show.

“K. Dubb” is a comedic writer and actor who has performed on numerous televised stand-up shows including “BET’s Comicview,” “Def Comedy Jam” and “P. Diddy Presents the Bad Boys of Comedy.” Most recently, K. Dubb appeared as a guest on “The Arsenio Hall Show.”

Also performing will be this year’s winner of Shaq’s All-Star Comedy Jam, which will be announced in the coming weeks.

There's A New Chicken Restaurant Coming To LV! PDQ Open Sunday 3/15

NASCAR Diver Brad Kekselowski Enjoys The D Hotel & Casino

The D Las Vegas Casino Hotel presented the MillerCoors’ NASCAR event featuring driver Brad Keselowski on Fremont Street. The championship driver revealed two new NASCARs that will run later this year, featuring classic color schemes from MillerCoors and Team Penske’s 25 year NASCAR partnership. This weekend, Keselowski will race the No.2 Miller Lite Ford in Las Vegas’ Sprint Cup Series at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway.   

Brad posed for photos with the racecars alongside owner of the D Derek Stevens before signing autographs for hundreds of VIPs inside the downtown casino hotel. Afterwards, Brad and his girlfriend Paige White, enjoyed dinner with friends at the D’s award-winning Andiamo Italian Steakhouse. It wasn’t the first time Keselowski visited the D – before last year’s series, the star enjoyed a pre-race dinner at Andiamo and hosted NASCAR kickoffs before winning both Las Vegas races the same weekend! While still too soon to predict, here’s to the D bringing Brad luck in 2015!
