Miracle Mile Fountain Goes Green For Charity In January!

Throughout January, Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino will turn its fountain green in support of Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada. As part of the center’s Caring, Giving, Changing community campaign, all change tossed in the green fountain will benefit the local chapter of the world’s largest provider of financial education for students K-12.

Through Jan. 31, the fountain will display a green hue in between regularly scheduled water shows. Coins tossed into the popular water feature and the center’s indoor rainstorm will be donated to Junior Achievement of Southern Nevada, which enhances the education of students through life skills, business and economic programs. Regularly scheduled water shows take place at the top of every hour from noon to 11 p.m.

Cooking Competition Coming Up For Charity At TREVI!

Can there be too many cooks in the kitchen? Not when it’s for charity. TREVI Italian Restaurant, located at the heart of The Forum Shops at Caesars, will host a cooking competition featuring local media personalities beginning at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 7.

John Huck and Olivia Fierro of FOX 5 KVVU, Jessica Janner of ABC 13 KTNV, Kim Wagner of NBC 3 KSNV and Doug Elfman of the Las Vegas Review-Journal will converge in TREVI’s kitchen for the pizza cook-off, allowing each competitor to choose individual ingredients and physically create the dish with supervision from TREVI executive chef, Peter Scaturro.

Each pizza will be scored by a panel of guest judges, including recently-crowned Miss Nevada USA 2015 Brittany McGowan; Sean E. Cooper and the cast of FANTASY at Luxor; and Chef Jose Navarro of Grotto inside Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino, owned by Landry’s Inc. The winner will be awarded $500 toward a charity of their choice, along with the honor of adding the named pizza to TREVI’s official dinner menu for the remainder of the month.

Diners and fans are encouraged to attend the competition to cheer on their favorite personality and taste the unique creations.

Kylie Jenner, the stylish youngest sister on “Keeping Up With The Kardashians,” will host the grand opening celebration of the new Sugar Factory American Brasserie, located at 5445 Park Place in MB Financial Park. The sweet soiree will begin with the red carpet debut of the “Black Diamond” and “Gray Sparkle” Couture Pops, designed by Jenner along with her sister and E! co-star, Kendall, at 5 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 23.

The newest Sugar Factory is the first in the Midwest, introducing the brand’s expansive menu and signature confections to Chicago residents.
