Hard Rock Hotel Welcomed SoMo & Jason Derulo For LDW 2014

SoMo At Body English

Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Las Vegas celebrated Labor Day weekend with three days of nonstop entertainment at its premier daylife and nightlife venues.

The festivities kicked off on Friday, Aug. 29 with breakout star SoMo at Body English Nightclub. The artist arrived shortly after midnight where he headed into the exclusive hideaway through its grand staircase. SoMo had the crowd swooning over his rhythmic vocals while he sang his hit song, “Ride.” That same evening, singer Pia Zadora was seen across the casino enjoying Andrew Dice Clay’s comedy show at Vinyl.

The celebrations continued on Saturday, Aug. 30 as award-winning artist Jason Derulo returned to Las Vegas’ original dayclub REHAB for his second appearance this summer. He teased the crowd with a snippet of his chart-topping song “Wiggle” before deciding to take a trip down memory lane with his original hits “Ridin’ Solo,” “Whatcha Say,” “In My Head” and more. He let partygoers know that it was “so incredible to be at this amazing pool party” and had everyone dancing and singing along to “Talk Dirty” and “Wiggle” before inviting them to his after party at Body English. Olympic Skier Ted Ligety was also at the dayclub and nightclub celebrating his 30th birthday.

On Sunday, Aug. 31, in true Puff Daddy fashion, the music mogul and record producer took over REHAB to celebrate the launch of his Ciroc Pineapple vodka. The dayclub, which was adorned with Ciroc Pineapple branded items, welcomed Puff Daddy and his crew to the poolside stage with drinks served in pineapples. Puff took the mic and screamed, “I’ve been coming to REHAB for a minute and it’s time to declare it’s my house!” He proceeded to get the party started by performing “It’s All About the Benjamins” and “Mo’ Money Mo’ Problems.” Spotted in the crowd was adult entertainer Ron Jeremy. Puff Daddy continued the Ciroc Pineapple launch party in Vanity Nightclub that evening.

Two Final Dinners For 2014 For Project Dinner Table! Get Your Tix NOW!

Project Dinner Table is announcing its final two dinners for the 2014 season will take place Saturday, Sept. 13 and Saturday, Oct. 11. Now in its fifth season, the popular dinner series that’s about building community and serving the greater good all while focusing on what we love: food, people and purpose. At the centerpiece of every dinner sits one long dinner table, draped with white tablecloths seating up to 175 guests. Chefs create a one-night-only menu inspired by local farmers and purveyors with a multi-course dinner served family-style. At the conclusion of the evening, Project Dinner Table makes a donation to a worthy cause that’s rooted in Southern Nevada. Every dinner takes place in adventurous, outdoor settings not typically created for dining.

The Sept. 13 dinner will take place at University of Nevada Cooperative Extension (UNCE) Orchard with Bellagio Chefs Roy Ellamar and Edmund Wong at the helm, creating his multi-course meal that will showcase many local and regional flavors: smoked Idaho Trout, Pork Shoulder, local greens, stone fruits and a variety of additional mouth-watering dishes. The event will begin with social hour at 5:45 p.m., accompanied by hors d'oeuvres and cocktails, and the family style dinner at 6:45 p.m. Proceeds from the September dinner will go toward Candlelighters and Miracle Flights for Kids.

For the Season 5 finale on Oct. 11, guests will dine at the Marjorie Barrick Museum of Art on UNLV’s campus. Chefs from Caesars Palace will create a very special one-time only menu. Social hour takes place at 5:15 p.m. with the group seated for the rest of the dinner by 6:15 p.m. October’s charity partners are Safe Nest and Blind Center of Nevada.

“In five years, Project Dinner Table set out what I wanted it to do: get people off of their smart phones and break bread with strangers to create new and lasting friendships,” muses Gina Gavan, founder and spoonbender, Project Dinner Table. “It also sparked the conversation of corporate responsibility. Be a great and robust company but recognize your responsibility in giving back to your community.”

The price for each dinner per person is $175 for members and $190 for non-members and is inclusive of gratuities, tax, food, beverage and philanthropy. Tickets are now available at www.ProjectDinnerTable.com.
“As for what’s next for Project Dinner Table 2015 and beyond, stay tuned,” concludes Gavan.

Project Dinner Table’s Season 5 is presented by Land Rover Las Vegas. For more information, go to www.ProjectDinnerTable.com or find on Facebook at or follow on Twitter @Food4Good.

Ryan & Cake

Last night Olympic gold medalist Ryan Lochte was surprised while enjoying a birthday dinner at Andiamo Italian Steakhouse at the D Las Vegas by his host Richard Wilk and 2 of the casino’s signature Dancing Dealers who took Ryan by the hand to the D showroom where hit male revue show Men of The Strip was performing. The world champion swimmer was greeted by 200 screaming female fans singing “Happy Birthday” as the male performers welcomed him onto stage. As the women began shouting “Take it off!” Ryan caved in and stripped off his hoodie to the delight of the crowd. The Men of Strip dubbed him an honorary stripper and bestowed him a signature lipstick-marked white tie as the D Las Vegas presented their guest and birthday boy with a giant cake on stage. Still shirtless, Lochte devoured the cake face-first and danced for the audience. The swimmer stopped to pose for photos with fans before returning to Andiamo to resume his birthday feast. It was a star-studded weekend for the Downtown Las Vegas property, as several celebrities partied at the casino-hotel for Labor Day.
