It’s
true that if you throw a rock anywhere in Las Vegas your chances of hitting a
restaurant is better than betting on black on the roulette wheel. But the
tricky part is finding a restaurant that is fun, reasonably priced and has great
food and tempting cocktails. If you are looking for all three of these
attributes in a restaurant I would highly recommend The Hard Rock Café on the
LV Strip.
The Hard
Rock Café has a new menu! This menu has been in the works for over 14 months;
going through rigorous culinary developments, intensive research and guest
evaluations. So serious is The Hard Rock team that they surveyed over 3000
guests across four continents and 14 cities regarding the new menu. This entire
process resulted in the addition of 30 new menu items and the modification of
28 existing menu items. So be prepared for a highly satisfying meal!
Located at
3771 Las Vegas Blvd. South this three story experience is 42,000 square feet of
Rock N’ Roll!! On bottom The Rock Shop is where you can find t-shirts, gifts
and interesting Hard Rock Café items, the second floor is the café and the third
floor is where the lounge and bar and concert venue are located.
Overlooking
the Las Vegas Strip you can sip drinks while taking in the craziness below
while perched safely three stories up. At any time you will see a plethora of
cartoon characters, all types of tourists and probably sights that you can go home
and tell your friends “You never will believe what I saw in Vegas!!”
There is
an array of new summery refreshing drinks to choose from with my three
favorites being:
1. Magical
Mystery Mojito – Cucumber syrup. Mint leaves and lime juice muddle together
with Hendricks Gin (and I do not even like Gin!) St. Germain Elderflower Liqueur and topped with a splash of Sierra Mist – REFRESHING!

Blue Curacao, Lime Juice blended with HRC scratch Pina Colada Mix – DELECTABLE!

and lemons pressed together with Svedka Clementine Vodka, HRC made from scratch
Lemonade and Lemon-Lime Soda. – FRESH!
Since
you are on vacation why not live it up and go all out and order appetizers!
Highly recommended are these three:

1. Rockin’
Wings – JUMBO wings coated with their signature smoked dry rub, slow roasted
and served with FRESH made in the kitchen blue cheese dressing and carrots and
celery. You have your hoice of Buffalo style or grilled with Classic Rock,
Tangy or Heavy Metal sauces or dry seasoned. – GRATIFYING!
2. Spinach Artichoke Dip (I know you have seen
and had this on probably numerous occasions but try it here!) A warm, creamy
blend of spinach, artichokes and cheese. Topped with Romano cheese and served
with crispy Parmesan flatbread. –
DELICIOUS!

3. Nachopalooza – Tortilla chips piled
high and layered with three bean mix, Monterey Jack and Cheddar cheese, pico de
gallo, jalapenos and green onions. Garnished with sour cream. – FIESTA!
Now on
to the main meal! We sampled many items and there is no way to really choose a
favorite so here are three of the entrees that I leaned towards:

| Grilled Chicken Arugula Salad |
Grilled Chicken Arugula Salad – Baby arugula, thinly sliced grilled
chicken, spicy pecans, dried cranberries and fresh oranges tossed in a lemon
balsamic vinaigrette, topped with crumbled feta cheese. – SUMMERY!
Smoked Beef Brisket Sandwich – Slow-cooked beef brisket topped
with hickory barbecue sauce and crispy onions on grilled sourdough bread. – SUPER SATISFYING & TENDER
Grilled Norwegian Salmon – 8-oz. filet, wrapped in cedar
paper, grilled tender and drizzled with sweet and spicy barbecue sauce with maître
de butter. Served with Yukon Gold mashed potatoes and seasonal veggie. – MOIST & TENDER!
If you happen to be a vegetarian the Grilled Vegetable
Sandwich was amazing!
Grilled Vegetable Sandwich – Marinated and grilled Portobello
mushrooms, zucchini, yellow squash, roasted red peppers and grilled asparagus,
topped with Monterey Jack cheese and balsamic glaze on grilled sourdough with
tarragon mayonnaise.

As I mentioned
you are in Vegas so live it up! Go ahead
and order dessert, because these desserts are tantalizing and tempting and
fantastic! Here are three in favorite order:
1. Fresh Apple Cobbler – Served warm with vanilla
ice cream, topped with walnuts and caramel sauce. This dessert is made fresh in
the kitchens and is so creamy and buttery that each bite was heavenly.
2. Cheesecake Made With Oreo Cookie Pieces
– Made in house, a generous helping of Oreo cookies baked in their rich and
creamy NY-style cheesecake, with a decadent Oreo cookie crust. – DECADENT!
3. Hot Fudge Brownie – Ben & Jerry’s
vanilla ice cream and hot fudge on a fresh homemade brownie, topped with
chopped walnuts, chocolate sprinkles, fresh whipped cream and a cherry. CHOCOLATE LOVERS DELIGHT!

That is
just the food! If you are a Rock n Roll aficionado then you can spend a great
amount of time browsing among the displays. I personally am a HUGE fan of
Nirvana so it was very special to see the Nirvana display. On the first floor
in the store there is a Madonna bustier that is crazy! So small and covered
with all sorts of glittery shiny objects and it even has a doll head.
Both
locations on the Strip and on Paradise Road can be booked for receptions, banquets
and can be bought out for full venue capacities. At the Las Vegas Strip location the third
floor is a full concert venue and it is an intimate setting. Very similar to
how The Joint was as the Hard Rock Hotel. Here is a list of the bands that will be
performing at the Strip location.
