Single In Las Vegas? New Dating Game Coming 3/30!

A new dating game has arrived in Las Vegas for professional singles wanting to move beyond online dating, while experiencing an evening completely different from anything ever seen before. Love Songs debuts March 30, 2013 where guests will meet other singles, win prizes, and enjoy an evening out with a game show experience and live music.

Las Vegas residents, Jefferson Montoya and Steve Thomas, want to provide a dating experience where individuals are not hiding behind their computers, but instead are meeting people in person. Montoya, an award-winning songwriter, developed the idea of adding live music, a game show environment, and an advanced version of speed-dating for singles to escape the complications of online dating.

“Dating is often a miserable and painful thing,” said Montoya. “We really want to make it fun to meet people again, while enjoying a unique evening.”

During the event, attendees will enjoy three levels of the Love Songs game including Warm Up!, Game Time!, and Cool Down! Each phase will include live music and a chance to win several prizes. The prizes range from $25 to $50, and are provided by corporate sponsors like Dom DeMarco’s Pizzeria and Popped Gourmet Popcorn Spot.

“During this musical evening, participants have an opportunity to meet potential dating partners, win prizes, and listen to a varying mix of live music,” added Thomas. "We just want people to have a great time and, hopefully, meet their dream person."

Señor Frog’s Spring Break Specials MUEY BUENO!

Known the world over for its over-the-top Spring Break parties, Señor Frog’s will celebrate its first Spring Break in Sin City with a weekly events lineup at its new two-level, indoor-outdoor restaurant and party bar at Treasure Island Hotel & Casino from Saturday, Feb. 23 through Sunday, March 31. 

Señor Frog’s Las Vegas will be a one-stop shop for Spring Break fun with endless live music, dancing, karaoke and contests. ·         Friday: Frog’s Friday will include a second-level patio party from 3 to 7 p.m. with two-for-one margaritas and half-priced appetizers.

·         Sunday: Señor’s Sunday Funday will give students two-for-one drinks for their first round with a “check-in” on Foursquare or Facebook or tweet using the @SenorFrogsVegas handle. The party bar will also offer special menus for spring breakers on a budget with food and drink packages. Students under the age of 21 will enjoy their choice of any of the four dishes plus a yard of a soda or a smoothie for $20. Priced at $25, co-eds will devour any of the four entrées along with a yard of draft beer or margarita. Come On Lucky 13! NASCAR Driver Kurt Busch Betting On The Odds!

Furniture Row Racing driver Kurt Busch is banking on a “Lucky 13” start to beat the odds and fulfill a career dream of claiming his first Sprint Cup victory in his hometown of Las Vegas.

“Not too many people beat the odds in Las Vegas, but after 12 attempts of trying to win there, I think I’m overdue,” said Busch, whose No. 78 Chevrolet will feature a new associate sponsor – Serta Mattress – for Sunday’s Kobalt Tools 400 at Las Vegas Motor Speedway.

A strong proponent of Las Vegas, Busch joined former Las Vegas Mayor and current Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority Host Committee Chair Oscar Goodman and Las Vegas Motor Speedway president Chris Powell at a news conference last week to discuss the economic impact of the NASCAR race weekend.

“The NASCAR weekend is one of the biggest of the year in Las Vegas, having an economic impact of more than $240 million,” explained Busch, who is ranked fifth among active drivers with 24 career Cup wins. “As a Las Vegas native and a NASCAR Sprint Cup driver that makes me very proud.”

What would make Busch even more proud is to leave the city Sunday with the winning hardware, which has eluded the former NASCAR champion since his first Cup start at Las Vegas in 2001.

“Look at the record, it’s quite evident that Las Vegas Motor Speedway has been tough on me,” said Busch, who has one top-five and three top-10s in 12 starts at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. “It’s a challenging track and the new Gen-6 car could make it even more challenging.

“But I like the track and feel it’s a winnable place. It would be the ultimate welcome to our new associate sponsor Serta, whose top-of-the-line mattresses are sold at Denver Mattress locations nationwide.”

Winning at Las Vegas might initially appear to be an unrealistic goal after looking at the team finishes in the first two races – 28th (Daytona) and 27th (Phoenix).
