Italian Cuisine At It's Finest...Ferraro's!!

Since 1985, Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar has distinguished itself by offering an authentic, fine-dining Italian culinary experience in a truly family-run atmosphere. In recent years, Las Vegas’ reputation as a culinary destination has blossomed, its famous resorts now house celebrity chefs and countless fine-dining restaurants, yet Ferraro’s appeal continues to grow. In the midst of this local culinary revolution, Ferraro’s remains steadfast in offering exceptional cuisine, attention to detail, award-winning wine selection and—above all—the welcoming presence of the Ferraro family.

THE BEGINNING: GINO AND ROSALBA FERRARO, OWNERS
Originally from Satriano in the Calabria province of Italy, Ferraro’s founder and owner, Gino Ferraro, moved to Las Vegas with his Neapolitan wife Rosalba in the early ‘70s. Passionate about food his entire life, Gino envisioned Ferraro’s as a way to bring the experience of authentic Italian fine dining to Las Vegas. Family-recipe meatballs, house-made sausages, legendary osso buco, light gnocchi, savory risottos, perfectly prepared organic meats, Safe Harbor® seafood and—most importantly—freshly made pastas and sauces provide the foundation of Ferraro’s lunch, dinner and late-night menus. Gino also takes pride in the restaurant’s expansive selection of Italian wines which are housed in a 16,000-bottle on-premises wine cellar. Ferraro’s wine program has received numerous industry awards.

THE NEXT GENERATION: MIMMO FERRARO, EXECUTIVE CHEF
While Gino continues to oversee Ferraro’s daily operations and is regularly seen welcoming guests and circulating among the patrons in the dining room, his son Mimmo took over as executive chef in 2003. Mimmo is a graduate of the California Culinary Academy and perfected his culinary skills while studying under acclaimed chef Davide Mazzuoli at LaGrotta Ristorante in Tuscany. Mimmo brings a lifelong appreciation for the beauty and simplicity of authentic Italian cuisine and the evocative potential of the freshest herbs and ingredients. Under Mimmo, Ferraro’s menu continues to offer the time-honored, traditional dishes so beloved by his family and the restaurant’s patrons. His influence on the menu may be seen in the addition of new dishes, such as Pappardelle Mimmo (long, wide pasta with scallops, lobster, asparagus, butter, sage and truffle oil). He also introduced the “Chef Mimmo Experience,” which is offered to parties interested in having Chef Mimmo prepare a five-course menu of his specially chosen dishes. For this option, he personally appears tableside to discuss the guests’ preferences, which are then reflected in each course.

WINE PROGRAM
Under the direction of Sommelier Joseph Pike, Ferraro’s wine collection rivals that found anywhere in the world. Its wine list features 18 wines by the glass, several half-bottle and large-format selections, as well as an additional tasting list including more than one dozen rare labels available in one-, three- and five-ounce pours. Ferraro’s wine selection places special emphasis on presenting a broad and deep range of Italian wines, but also includes an extensive selection of wines from California and France. Ferraro’s has been recognized with Wine Spectator’s “Best of Award of Excellence” and the Wine Enthusiast award.

SPECIAL EVENTS
Ferraro’s excels at hosting every kind of party, meeting or event in any of its four private banquet and meeting rooms or on its picturesque outdoor patio. A favorite of convention attendees and corporate meeting planners, Ferraro’s is an ideal option for those seeking an easily accessible, standalone location conveniently located near all of the city’s major convention centers. It offers spaces to accommodate private events of 8 to 120 and full buyouts of up to 300. Available amenities include free Wi-Fi, full audio/visual capabilities, full-service bar, five plasma TV screens, built-in stage with piano and a dance floor. Teresa Ferraro-Marretti, daughter of Gino and Rosalba and sister to Chef Mimmo, personally assists with the planning and execution of each special event at Ferraro’s.

LUNCH
Ferraro’s is open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. until 4 p.m. for lunch. Guests dining at midday may choose from lighter entrée salads, pizzette (personal-sized pizzas) or panini, or may opt for one of several pasta, meat or fish dishes offered. In addition, Ferraro’s offers a “Love Your Lunch” menu for $9.95 which includes an entrée, such as pollo paillard (grilled chicken breast pounded thin and topped with arugula salad) or salmone alla finocchio (salmon with white wine fennel sauce and cherry tomatoes), served with house salad or soup.

HAPPY HOUR
Ferraro’s happy hour runs from 4 to 7 p.m. daily. Guests seated in the bar, lounge or on the patio receive 25 percent off of drinks (exclusive of bottled wine) and may select from an antipasti menu featuring selections such as sausage burger with fries, stuffed pepper, calamari, parmigiano-crusted chicken fingers, pizza Margherita or Caesar salad with grilled chicken.

LATE NIGHT
Ferraro’s is one of the only fine-dining restaurants in Las Vegas that is open late at night, every night. No time to catch dinner before an evening show? Ferraro’s offers a perfect place to have a romantic meal or impress an important client after the performance is finished. Southern Nevada residents who visit between 11 p.m. and 2 a.m. receive 50 percent off of their entire food bill and 25 percent off of drinks.

ABOUT FERRARO’S ITALIAN RESTAURANT & WINE BAR
As Las Vegas’ longest running, family-owned and operated restaurant offering authentic Italian cuisine in a fine-dining atmosphere, Ferraro’s Italian Restaurant & Wine Bar has offered guests a five-star experience since 1985. Specializing in freshly made pastas and sauces, legendary osso buco, savory risottos, expertly prepared organic meats, Safe Harbor® seafood, as well as an extensive award-winning wine list, Ferraro’s is famous for its attention to detail, welcoming environment and passion for food that runs in the family. Owners Gino and Rosalba Ferraro, Chef Mimmo Ferraro and Special Events Director Teresa Ferraro-Marretti devote themselves to ensuring each guest has a memorable experience, whether for lunch, dinner, late-night or private parties and events. Open Monday through Friday from 11:30 a.m. to 2 a.m. and Saturday and Sunday from 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Ferraro’s is located at 4480 Paradise Road, Las Vegas, Nevada 89169 (across the street from the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino). Celeb & Athletes At TAO & LAVO!

Chord Overstreet & DJ Vice
Chris Paul at LAVO
Chris Paul & CJ

Chris Paul headed straight to LAVO fresh off his MVP designation at the NBA All Star game in Houston Sunday night.  Arriving around 1:30 am with the trophy in tow, he immediately handed the prize to the club’s marketing director and the trophy spent a few short minutes in the club before being locked away in the back office for safe keeping during the NBA star’s stay.  The LA Clipper stopped by the DJ booth to chat with Vice about LA and the city’s Lakers vs. Clippers rivalry, then spent the night at a VIP table on the dance floor.  Paul and the club helped his brother CJ celebrate his 30th birthday with a cake and danced with his friends all night.

Also spotted at LAVO was Karlos Dansby.  The linebacker to the Miami Dolphins had a VIP table on the dance floor with friends.

Chord Overstreet celebrated his 24th birthday with dinner at TAO.  Joined by a group of friends including Lamorne Morris, who plays Winston on the Fox sitcom New Girl, the Glee star enjoyed specialty cocktails including the Tiger Lily and Tao Hito and dined on favorites including Crispy Rice, Wok Sirloin and sushi.  After dinner they made their way to LAVO where the birthday boy was surprised by a cake.
Whitney Port & Paige
Whitney Port also dined at TAO with her sister Paige before heading to LAVO. The two are in town to promote her clothing line Whitney Eve.
