On February 14, Hyde Bellagio invites couples, singles and friends to a special Valentine’s Day edition of “Vino Thursdays.”

The second installment of Hyde’s complimentary wine tasting event, held one Thursday every month from 7 to 9 p.m., falls on the heart-filled holiday, offering guests an indulgent evening of sampling wines followed by live music. Whether guests are single and ready to mingle or celebrating another year with their sweeties, Hyde’s intimate booths overlooking the Fountains of Bellagio provides the perfect spot for all wine lovers to enjoy the holiday.

Hyde’s fitting collaboration with Terra Valentine Winery will bring a variety of celebrated wines to February’s tasting menu, which will also feature Chocolate Rouge chocolate red wine and La Marca Prosecco, Gourmet small plates from Circo create perfect pairings and will be available to order until 9 p.m.

In honor of “Singles Awareness Day,” Hyde and Match.com also will welcome 300 of Vegas’ sexiest singles hoping to be struck by Cupid’s arrow. Celeb Sightings From TAO! Who Was There?

Michael Bolton and Smokey Robinson dined with a large group at TAO Asian Bistro Friday night.  Paula Abdul also stopped by to visit them singers in the private dining room.  The group enjoyed wine and sake along with favorites such as Crispy Shrimp.  Bolton, a vegetarian dined, on Lo Mein as he shared that he grew up listening to Smokey Robinson and was honored to be a part of his life, sharing the stage for the first time earlier in the night.  After dinner the music stars headed to the nightclub where they even invited a few lucky fans to their table.

Omar Epps was spotted along with his wife and friends at Marquee.  The House actor checked out the club’s Boom Box Room while DJ Sander Van Doorn was spinning in the main room.

Public House Las Vegas at Luxor Hotel and Casino will set the mood this Valentine’s Day with a romantic prix-fixe dinner for two on Thursday, Feb. 14.

Executive Chef Marc Zoda has developed a romantic three-course menu that will include two glasses of champagne. Lovebirds will begin their meal with a choice of either a house salad or classic Caesar salad. The second course features Shrimp Gambino served with assorted bell peppers in a lemon butter sauce. Guests may choose from two delicious main course selections: Filet Mignon stuffed with goat cheese and sun-dried tomatoes, served with pan-seared asparagus and couscous; or Salmon Veronique in a crème sauce with grape tomatoes and red bell peppers served with fingerling potatoes.

While savoring the memorable meal, couples may toast the occasion with a glass of celebratory bubbly as the ladies are presented with a beautiful red rose.

In celebration of Valentine’s Day, Executive Chef Saul Ortiz has created an irresistible prix fixe menu at Tacos & Tequila (T&T) inside Luxor Hotel and Casino. Guests will fall in love with the flavorful menu priced at $58 per couple available exclusively on Thursday, Feb. 14.

The menu begins with a sampler for two, including a Shrimp Ceviche Shot, Chicken Quesadillas and Beef Flautas. For the main entrée, lovebirds may choose from authentic Mexican dishes including the Trio of Enchiladas with cheese, Chicken Divorciadas and Beef Barbacoa; The Taste of T&T featuring Pork Carnitas, a Chicken Tamal and a Chile Relleno; or the Combination Taco Platter with steak, chicken and carnitas tacos. All entrées are served with a side of Mexican black beans and rice.

For dessert, T&T will delight lovers with a decadent sampler that includes traditional Mexican Flan; a Chocolate Morenita Sundae, made with a chocolate brownie topped with cinnamon ice cream and cajeta sauce; and a sweet Tres Leches Cake.

Celebrate Chinese New Year At The Cosmopolitan!

Dotting the eyes of the dragon

Yesterday (Sunday, Feb. 10 at 5 p.m.), The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas celebrated the Year of the Snake with a “Dotting of the Eyes” ceremony and street parade in honor of Chinese New Year.

The “Dotting of the Eyes” ceremony began at the East Side entrance of the distinctive luxury resort.  Around 40 performers “awakened” the dragon and lions by dotting their eyes with red paint in traditional fashion.  Following the awakening, the performers began to weave throughout the casino floor with the twisting and turning dragon, lions and dancers.  The moving celebration made a stop at The Cosmopolitan’s High Limit lounge for a “Collecting of the Cabbage” ceremony before completing the parade.

Special décor honoring the Chinese New Year holiday will be visible on property until Feb. 17.  Guests can also head to China Poblano through Feb. 28 to taste innovative cocktails and a delectable menu inspired by the holiday.
