Drake enjoyed LAVO so much he dined there twice during his birthday weekend celebration. 

He first dined at the Italian eatery on Sunday with 50 friends and family.  Taking over the terrace the group was surrounded custom décor, tables, flowers and candles as envisioned by Jade Lee Inc., flown in from Atlanta for the special occasion to plan the weekend.  The singer’s closest friends and inner circle turned down the music at the end of dinner as Drake enjoyed his favorite LAVO dessert, Oreo Zeppole and his best friend said a touching toast.  The toasting continued as one by one his friends spoke words of love, affection and gratitude for the star.  As Drake stood up to thank his friends for the kind words a fan standing on the Strip screamed out Happy Birthday and waved her arms, much to the delight of the table.  Drake waved back and then continued to thank his friends for their support. 

After dinner the group made their way to Marquee Nightclub, commanding the Boom Box Room where MARTINI Moscato d’Asti helped him celebrated with a massive amount of custom lighting and décor, and of course specialty cocktails.  DJ Future the Prince kept the energy up, spinning all of the Cash Money hits.  The Jabawockeez wowed the guests, including Lil Wayne, Birdman and Mack Maine, with a surprise performance. party goers were treated to gift bags that included a bottle of MARTINI Moscato d’Asti. 

After having such a great weekend, Drake returned to LAVO on Monday night, enjoying dinner in the private dining room.

Sonny Turner brings his legendary style to The Suncoast Showroom!

 Legendary vocalist Sonny Turner, former lead singer of The Platters, brings his signature style back to the Suncoast Showroom for one night only, October 29 at 7:30 p.m.

Turner burst onto the national scene in 1959, when he was chosen from among 100 prospects to replace The Platters’ original lead singer, Tony Williams. Starting at the age of 19, Turner toured the world with The Platters and gained popularity with such hits as “I Love You 1000 Times,” “With This Ring” and “Washed Ashore.” He also re-recorded the group’s major hits, including “Only You,” “The Great Pretender” and “The Magic Touch.”

In 1970, Turner left The Platters to pursue a solo career that brought him international fame. In doing so, he established his own fan base and following. Turner later lent his voice to such films as “Nutty Professor II” and “Hearts in Atlantis.”

In 2005, Turner received The Lifetime Excellence in Entertainment Award in Las Vegas. He was also inducted into The Vocal Group Hall of Fame and The Doo-Wop Hall of Fame of America for his musical contributions to The Platters. Along with Herb Reed, bass singer and founder of The Platters, Turner is one of just two surviving members of one of the most successful vocal groups of the early rock and roll era. Turner continues to keep the music alive through concert appearances around the world.

Vinny Guadagnino, of MTV’s “Jersey Shore,” and Dana Wilkey, of Bravo TV’s “The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,” enjoyed dinner last night at Sugar Factory American Brasserie at Paris Las Vegas.

Guadagnino enjoyed the signature Sugar Factory Fried Macaroni and Cheese-Pops while washing them down with a White Gummy goblet. For dessert, the “Jersey Shore” star had a slice of the delicious Sugar Factory chocolate pizza. After dinner, Guadagnino made his way over to the retail side where he checked out fellow cast member Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino’s new signature Sugar Factory Couture Pop. The Staten Island native made sure to fill up his goodie bag full of Skittles before calling it a night.

Wilkey had the delectable shrimp cocktail before giving into her sweet tooth and enjoying a cupcake from the mouthwatering cupcake platter and sipping on the Berry Bliss goblet. After dinner, the reality TV star made her way over to the retail side where she checked out the Sugar Factory tanktops and filled her goodie bag with Pear Jelly Bellys and mini Reese’s Pieces.

Also spotted at Sugar Factory for the second night in a row was actor, Adrian Grenier and UFC fighter, Frank Mir.

Kardashian blow-out week-end bash in Vegas! All at Marquee!

Saturday night Kim Kardashian celebrated her 31st birthday at Marquee Nightclub inside The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas.  The birthday girl was joined by new husband Kris Humphries, her sister Khloe and her husband Lamar Odom, mom Kris Jenner and Kim’s  former Dancing with the Stars partner Mark Ballas. The family was mobbed by fans as they made their way to Marquee after enjoying signature Italian dishes in the private dining room at LAVO where they toasted with Midori Sour cocktails and Champagne.

As hoards of fans were screaming her name from the casino floor, Kim made her way to the red carpet as it erupted in a flashbulb frenzy with her family looking on cheering. Once Kim was finished she stopped and signed autographs and photos that fans had brought for the event before heading upstairs to the club.

In the club they took in the sounds of international DJ Cedric Gervais from a VIP table on the dance floor. Kim got on the mic saying she was excited for Cedric to spin and told the DJ "Cedric turn it up! " Kim was thrilled with her birthday cake from Gimme Some Sugar, which depicted the happy couple in a white Ferrari with a custom Kardashian logo on the car.  Later in the night Kim and crew got a hip hop fix from DJ Lema in the club’s Boom Box Room.  Khloe and Lamar danced and Khloe got on the mic to have the entire room sing “Happy Birthday” to her sister.

Also spotted at Marquee was Jim Belushi, who stopped by around 2 am to check out the hot spot.

Have you heard of the Bugsy Challenge? BBall Player Al Harrington took it!

 On Saturday, Oct. 22, Denver Nuggets player Al Harrington took the Bugsy Challenge at Burger Joint at Flamingo Las Vegas. Created at the beginning of August, The Bugsy Challenge consists of a burger with six one-third-pound burger patties, six types of cheese (American, cheddar, pepper jack, fresh house-made mozzarella, Swiss and panko-crusted deep-fried provolone), chorizo, sautéed mushrooms, black and tan onion rings, three strips of applewood smoked bacon, three strips of cayenne peppered bacon and a fried egg, all oozing with Burger Joint’s special pink peppercorn aioli. This massive burger is accompanied by a cast iron skillet packed with two whole potatoes cut in wedges and deep fried, then smothered in cheddar cheese sauce, three cheese blend, crumbled bacon, sliced green onions and topped with two strips of cayenne peppered bacon. The full Bugsy Challenge weighs in at 4.5 pounds and is on the house for anyone who can finish it. Harrington was given 45 minutes to complete the challenge and unfortunately did not succeed. The NBA player is the fifth person to attempt the challenge and the fifth person to be thwarted by it.

This burger haven serves patties shaped from ground beef, turkey and even salmon. Guests can order one of Burger Joint’s original creations or make their own with ingredients such as applewood smoked bacon, caramelized onions, jalapeños and more.
