Whiskey Wednesdays at Andre's at The Monte Carlo..

Whiskey fans and aficionados can be found at Andre’s at Monte Carlo Resort and Casino.  The restaurant and lounge known for its superior collection of whiskeys and cigars today announced remaining 2011 dates for its popular Whisk(e)y Wednesdays: Oct. 5 and Dec. 7.

“We’re often asked why there are parentheses in the event’s name. It’s actually very simple—there are no two whiskeys alike and, in fact, its name may be spelled with an E or without,” says Patrick Trundle, beverage director, Andre’s.  “But regardless of the spelling or the type of whiskey showcased, what remains consistent on Whisk(e)y Wednesdays is the incredible quality, selection and value guests will experience at each event.”

Each Whisk(e)y Wednesday begins at 9 p.m., concluding at 11 p.m. and takes place on the second floor of Andre’s in Las Vegas’ only cigar lounge connected to a Strip restaurant.

Casa Fuente inside The Forum Shops at Caesars has teamed up with Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey to create a special limited edition Casa Fuente Single Barrel Whiskey which is now available for purchase at the world renowned cigar bar.  Each bottle sells for $85.00 with a portion of the proceeds going to benefit the Cigar Family Charitable Foundation and includes a special commemorative tag designating the limited edition selection for Casa Fuente.

In addition to the limited edition Casa Fuente Single Barrel Whiskey, now through the end of the year, each patron who purchases a bottle will be entered into the Destination Lynchburg contest to win an all expense paid trip for two to the Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey Distillery in Lynchburg, Tennessee.

“Thanks to the tremendous support in the inaugural year of our Spirits Society, we are able to team with the great people at Jack Daniel’s to offer this limited edition whiskey and very rare experience to their distillery,” said Michael Frey, managing partner of Casa Fuente.

Comedian Jeff Dunham adds second show at Caesars Palace!! Controlled Chaos!!

 Due to demand, comedian Jeff Dunham has announced the addition of a Friday show on December 2 at 8 p.m. to his “Controlled Chaos” tour at The Colosseum at Caesars Palace. The two-night engagement playing December 2 and December 3 is presented jointly by AEG Live and Caesars Palace.

LAVO Las Vegas kicked off the new Saturday Champagne Brunch party with resounding success.  The brunch, which originated at LAVO NYC was named Best Of New York by New York Magazine. It quickly became clear that Vegas is ready for the afternoon soiree as guests lined up to be the first to enter the venue and experience a new side of day life.

DJ Lema set the mood as bottles of Champagne made their way to tables with LAVO’s kitchen serving up new dishes including Almond French Toast, Breakfast Pizza, Burgers and Oysters from the raw bar.

The energy quickly rose as curtains were dropped, the room darkened and girls jumped on top of the tables to dance.  Bottles upon bottles of bubbly were delivered throughout the afternoon to VIP tables by way of gold plated girls, costumed hosts and even a chariot.  DJ Vice, who is celebrating his birthday with a weekend long party even surprised brunchers, hopping into the DJ booth for an unexpected set.  Spotted taking in the hedonistic experience were Peepshow’s Holly Madison and Josh Strickland, along with famed DJ Dirty South and a who’s who of the Vegas party scene.

The Osmonds coming to The Orleans Showroom! On 10/28 thru 10/30!

Beloved around the world and celebrating more than 50 years in entertainment, The Osmonds – brothers Wayne, Merrill, Jay and Jimmy – return to perform at The Orleans Showroom October 28, 29 and 30, each evening at 8 p.m.

Having thrilled millions with their signature brand of entertainment, the legendary brothers have mastered a range of musical styles, including barbershop, pop, rock, country and jazz. Known for such classic hits as “One Bad Apple,” “Yo-Yo,” “Down By The Lazy River” and “Love Me For A Reason,” the brothers’ close harmonies are unrivaled in the music world. The Osmonds have sold millions of albums over their long careers and have several gold and platinum records to their credit.

Five decades ago, the young Osmond boys made their first national TV appearance on “The Andy Williams Show,” in what was meant to be a one-time shot at the big time. That single appearance led the Osmonds to seven seasons as regulars on the show. The Osmond brothers enjoyed professional gigs at Disneyland and with “The Jerry Lewis Show” before signing with MGM Records and skyrocketing to worldwide recognition.

Known for their versatility and for shaping musical styles to fit their talents – they mastered 28 musical instruments – the Osmonds gained further exposure with the 1976 advent of “The Donny and Marie Show.” With the Osmond brothers as executive producers, the show was a true example of their abilities to project the unified quality of their own family relationship, and in 1979 the show transformed into “The Osmond Family Show.”

Success continued and in 1982, the Osmonds transitioned their sound from pop to country music. Billboard magazine honored them with the “1982 Breakthrough Award” and acknowledged them as the “Number One New Singles Group of the Year.” A decade later, after almost 40 years of concert tours, the Osmonds purchased a theater in Branson, Missouri and began performing 12 shows a week at the Osmond Family Theater. They have been recognized as “Best Vocal Group” and “Best Show in Branson” numerous times.

In 2003, the Osmond family was honored for their achievements in the entertainment industry with a star on the legendary Hollywood Walk of Fame.
