Bite for Life Party coming! Kick off Party at Hash House a Go Go!

 Hash House a Go Go and MIX 94.1 host the 4th annual official Bite of Las Vegas Kick Off Party. Tents will be set up in the front parking lot of the restaurant’s Sahara location, serving $1 draft beer to get the party started. Other food and drink specials during the party include the Mashed Potato and Bacon Stuffed Burger for $5 and the popular Kiwi Watermelon Lemonade, which was voted Bite’s “Best Drink” for $4, all of which will be available at Bite of Las Vegas.

JC Fernandez of MIX 94.1 will be doing remote call-ins and the station will be giving away prizes during the live remote, including family four-ticket packages to Bite of Las Vegas along with Hash House a Go Go gift cards every 15 minutes.  In addition, the first 100 attendees will receive a pair of tickets to see comedian George Wallace at The Flamingo. Boston Celtic player parties in Las Vegas...jam session at Diablo's Cantina! Who?

On Friday evening Diablo’s Cantina on the Las Vegas Strip hosted Baseball great Barry Zito’s unusual bachelor party. Barry and friends had a jam session on stage , friends included Mira Sorvino’s husband Chris Backus who played guitar Huston Street and  Kelley James The Guys played cover songs from sublime, Biggie Smalls, Tupac, Sweet Caroline, and several free style originals. Singer (Kelley James) interacted with the crowd quite a bit. The crowd went wild for the impromptu performance .

On Sunday The Bank hosted another sold out industry Sunday party as the competition raged for the title of Top Promoter.  The packed house partied hard as DJ Karma kept the crowd on their feet all night.

Just after 1:30am, Ryan Cabrera arrived, joining local friends and sipping drinks at a VIP table.  Also in the house was Boston Celtics star Jermaine O'Neal.  Who partied with friends and even dropped by Cabrera's table to pose for a photo with him.  Since O'Neal is 6'11" he made for an interesting photo companion with the 5'7" singer!

PBR Legend Reunion coming to Las Vegas!

The Professional Bull Riders are offering local residents the opportunity to meet past and present bull riders, and attend the first two nights of the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals for only $150, a savings of $170.

The ticket package includes admission to the Legends Reunion and a ticket for Round 1 on Wednesday, Oct. 26, and Round 2 on Thursday, Oct. 27. Tickets can be purchased by telephone at  (866) PBR-SHOW  or at www.UNLVTickets.com.

Each Legends Reunion ticket package contains tickets to the Founders Forum, Alumni Meet & Greet, Heroes & Legends Ceremony, and the Built Ford Tough World Finals Kickoff Party, as well as a commemorative Legends Reunion ball cap and an autograph book.

The inaugural PBR Legends Reunion will officially begin the 2011 PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals. MGM Grand Hotel & Casino, which was the site of the first five PBR World Finals from 1994-98, will host a series of events beginning at 4 p.m. with the Founders Forum, and continuing until 9 p.m. with the PBR Built Ford Tough World Finals Kickoff Party.

Confirmed Legends Reunion attendees include PBR founders and Ring of Honor members Clint Branger, Cody Custer, Jerome Davis, Bobby Delvecchio, David Founier, Michael Gaffney, Cody Lambert, Daryl Mills, Ty Murray, Aaron Semas, and Jim Sharp. Other members of the Ring of Honor scheduled to attend are Randy Bernard, Wacey Cathey, J.W. Hart, Justin McBride, Charlie Sampson, Jerome Robinson, and Adriano Moraes.

At the Heroes and Legends Celebration Tuesday night, Tater Porter and Brent Thurman will be inducted into the Ring of Honor, and Leanne Lambert will receive the Sharon Shoulders Award. The ceremony will also include the inaugural presentation of the Brand of Honor and Jim Shoulders Lifetime Achievement Award to Little Yellow Jacket, and Rob Smets, respectively.

The special day gives bull riding fans an opportunity to meet their favorite riders. Every rider who has competed since the PBR began has been invited to Las Vegas to participate in the largest PBR Meet & Greet ever. Each of the competitors in the 2011 Built Ford Tough World Finals will also be at the unique event.

Fans who wish to spend more time with the PBR and benefit a worthy cause can participate in the Legends Reunion charity bowling, golf, and poker events on Tuesday, Oct. 25.

The golf tournament will be a scramble with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start at Royal Links Golf Club. The entry fee is $375 per person or $1,500 per team, which includes four players and a tee box sponsorship. Each team will include a PBR rider. Proceeds benefit the Wrangler National Patriot Fund, which raises funds to support American military veterans and their families.

The Texas Hold ‘Em tournament has a $150 entry fee and will be at 9 a.m. at the MGM Grand Poker Room. Proceeds will benefit the Rider Relief Fund which aids injured athletes competing in the sport of bull riding at any level. There will be up to 20 PBR riders included in the field with bounty knockout prizes.

The bowling tournament will be held at 8 a.m. at South Point Bowling Center. The entry fee is $150 per person or $450 per team. Proceeds benefit the National Football Foundation & College Hall of Fame, Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to ensuring the future of amateur football at the local, state, and national levels. Each team will include a PBR rider.

The Riviera Hotel & Casino will host a free NASCAR Camping World Truck Series driver autograph session on Friday, Oct. 14 from 7:30-9 p.m. in front of Le Bistro Lounge on the casino floor.

First Friday is a hit! Downtown Las Vegas enjoys locals event

First Friday Las Vegas wowed locals on Friday night with an estimated attendance of around 10,000 people throughout the night. The event, which took place both in the original location of Casino Center and Colorado, as well as the first expanded location at Fremont Street East, drew fans of art and culture from around the valley. Art, music, food and all around fun took place until midnight.

First Friday Las Vegas managing partner Joey Vanas made one of the first purchases of the night – a piece titled “Forever Happy” by artists Nicholas Blackham and Corey Anderson ($1500 in case you need the cost).

This is the first piece that will be included in the First Friday collection.

Attendees from out of state also made their way out, including the founders of the Burning Man festival.

It's a pawty!! Come out and support Las Vegas shelter dogs!

As I am sure that you are aware...our Las Vegas community has been thru the ringer! Some of the hardest hit are our four legged "fur friends." Over the past year Adopt A Rescue Pet has rescued, re-homed and helped thousands of dogs of all sizes.
