Dennis Miller and his humor! Three nights at The Orleans
Five-time Emmy Award® winner
and crowd favorite Dennis Miller brings his hilarious stand-up routine back at
The Orleans Showroom for three nights, October 7, 8 and 9, each evening at 8
p.m.
Celebrated as a witty
comedian with an entertaining and intriguing stand-up routine, Miller keeps
audiences laughing with his irreverent observations. A favorite of the public
and critics alike, The New York Times said, “Mr. Miller is exquisitely attuned
to contemporary foibles … his material can be scathing, his delivery low-key …
Mr. Miller reaches a bit farther than most comedians for the scorching comment
… this smart aleck has an uncommonly sharp eye.”
Called “one of the premiere
comedy talents in America today,” Miller emerged on the national scene in as
the “Weekend Update” correspondent on NBC’s “Saturday Night Live.” After
leaving SNL in 1991, Miller moved to HBO, where he hosted the
critically-acclaimed talk show “Dennis Miller Live” for nine seasons. Miller is
a regular on Fox News Channel’s “Hannity” and “The O’Reilly Factor.” He was
also host and executive producer of CNBC’s “Dennis Miller,” which featured conversation, opinion and humor.
In a career that has spanned
far beyond showrooms and interview sets, Miller has also made a name for
himself as a film actor and author. Notable motion picture credits include such
mid-‘90s favorites as “Disclosure,” “The Net” and “Murder at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.” Miller’s “rant” books, including “I Rant Therefore
I Am,” “Ranting Again” and “The Rants” have all been on The New York Times
best-sellers list.
Having called plays alongside
Al Michaels and NFL Hall of Fame quarterback Dan Fouts on ABC’s “Monday Night
Football” for two seasons, Miller’s voice is as familiar to sports fans as it
is to those who pack theatres to enjoy his comedy.
Showtime is 8 p.m. Tickets
are available starting from $34.95, plus tax and convenience fees, and can be
purchased at any Coast Casinos Box Office, by calling 702.365.7075, or visiting www.orleanscasino.com.

Get ready for a show! Mystic Falls at Sam's Town is renovated! Las Vegas Holiday Cheer!
Following months of planning
and implementation, Sam’s Town Hotel and Gambling Hall has completed a sweeping
modernization of its renowned Mystic Falls Park Sunset Stampede Laser Light and
Water Show – one of the most popular free attractions in Las Vegas. While minor improvements have been implemented over
the years, the recent upgrade is the first major renovation to the show since
its debut in 1994.
Improvements include new,
state-of-the-art solid-state laser technology offering more powerful and
clearer projections, while using significantly less wattage; a new laser atop
the Mystic Falls mountain to project mid-air beam effects throughout the
atrium; new theatrical lighting, allowing for more sophisticated effects,
including LED submersible fountain lights with a larger range of colors;
enhanced animatronics; refreshed graphical projections; and minor tuning and
refinement of audio equipment.
“Over the last 17 years, the
free laser light and water show at Mystic Falls Park has become a major attraction in the city,” said John Sou, Vice President and General Manager of Sam’s Town Hotel and
Gambling Hall. “With so many available technological advancements in lighting
and effects, we brought in top-tier laser and theatrical lighting experts to
transform the experience.”
Through music, lighting,
animation and water features, Sunset Stampede chronicles the Western pioneer
experience. Fountains shoot eight stories into the air and the waters dance in
the lights to a symphonic score.
Coming this November, Sam’s
Town will introduce an all-new Mystic Falls Winter Wonderland spectacular, with
festive garland streams, whimsical snow-covered lampposts, and more than 50
glimmering trees adorned in lights. Like in the Western snowy mountains, snow
will float from the sky while light images and shooting water dance to
traditional holiday music. The Winter Wonderland show will debut prior to
Thanksgiving.
The free 15-minute Sunset
Stampede show plays nightly at 6 p.m.,
8 p.m. and 10 p.m.
Sam’s Town offers free shuttle service to and from the Strip eight times a day,
seven days a week. For further information on Mystic Falls and all Sam’s Town attractions, visit
