Cultural Arts and Performances in Las Vegas! The upcoming Smith Center's schedule

The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is proud to announce its Broadway Las Vegas series as part of the inaugural season for this long-awaited performing arts center.  This series will feature the best and brightest of Broadway, bringing full-length versions of THE COLOR PURPLE, Disney and Cameron Mackintosh’s MARY POPPINS, MILLION DOLLAR QUARTET and MEMPHIS to the stage in Las Vegas.  These exceptional shows join the ranks of the previously announced WICKED, which will open The Smith Center’s first full-length season in August of 2012.

Broadway Las Vegas series tickets will go on sale at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, July 26 at The Smith Center for the Performing Arts by calling (702) 982-7805 or by visiting www.thesmithcenter.com.  The series is priced at $99, $139, $229 and $309 for all four shows, depending on seats preferences. Prices include any/all sales tax and handling fees.

With tickets going on sale for its inaugural Broadway Las Vegas series, The Smith Center takes another step toward “reality” for the general public. The center continues to be on-time and on-budget, with an opening date scheduled for March 10, 2012.

About The Smith Center
The Smith Center for the Performing Arts is a public/private partnership that will become the centerpiece of cultural life in Las Vegas, offering a blend of performances by resident companies, as well as first-run touring attractions.  The 5-acre cultural campus will feature three performance spaces, the 2,050-seat main performance area in Reynolds Hall and Boman Pavilion’s 258-seat cabaret-jazz theater and 250-seat studio theater. by college groups and he also serves as a judge on NBC’s hit a cappella show, The Sing-Off. Folds’ latest album, Lonely Avenue, is a collaboration with renowned British novelist Nick Hornby. Friday night Leona Lewis was seen sipping TAO-hitos and dining on Kung Pao Tofu and Buddha’s Harmonized Feast at TAO Asian Bistro.  Joined by friends, the singer made her way to the nightclub to take in the sounds of DJ Reach.

Also at TAO was Aaron Paul.  The star of Breaking Bad enjoyed Sea Bass, Kobe Tataki and Yellowtail Jalapeno before hitting TAO Nightclub.  After taking in the scene there the group made a late night stop at Marquee.

Eva La Rue partied at LAVO.  The CSI: Miami actress was joined by her husband and a large group of friends as she danced on the banquette to the sounds of special guest DJ Devin Lucien, took pictures and toasted to her friends.

Jareb Dauplaise from MTV’s The Hard Times of RJ Berger enjoyed signature dishes at LAVO with Kyle Kaplan from the ABC hit Ten Things I Hate About You.
