MC Lyte held down the house for LAVO’s Old School Wednesdays with two notable supporters in the crowd, Ice T and Coco, who are staring in their own reality show…In the middle of her set she gave a shout out to the “Original OG” Ice T, who returned the favor by standing on the banquette and dancing during each song.  MC Lyte ended the set by shouting out, “I Love Ice T.” then joined the rapper for a few minutes to chat after her set.

When DJ Crooked took back over he made sure to play “Shoe Freak,” Coco’s new single as the crowd cheered.

Earlier in the night Coco and Ice T dined at LAVO.

Looking for Talent! Your chance to be a part of world famous - Fright Dome!

 Do you have talent?  Fright Dome is launching a city-wide talent search to select one lucky local entertainer to perform on-stage during the month of October. The top-ranked attraction is looking for anyone with unique talent including magicians, side-show performers, musicians, variety acts and much more.

From Thursday, July 7 to Tuesday, July 19 local entertainers that think they have what it takes to be one of the headliners on the Fright Dome 2011 stage can upload a short video clip to the Fright Dome Facebook Fan Page (www.facebook.com/frightdome). Owner Jason Egan and his talented team will select the top 10 contestants with the most entertaining performances or that have received the most “likes” for their video entry from other fans. The selected 10 finalists will then be invited to audition on Saturday, July 23 in front of a panel of judges and a winner will be chosen.   

Fright Dome at Circus Circus will open on Saturday, October 1, 2011 and will be open on select dates throughout the month. Egan’s 13 years in the industry and passion for all things terrifying culminate to make Fright Dome one of the top haunted attractions in the nation year after year.

As an important part of the Shame on NV Energy community, you are well aware of the company’s questionable practices. They have closed customer service centers, raised our rates to the highest of any Mountain state, and they are paying their executives excessive salaries.

Now – we can help one of our favorite Nevada businesses to fight back by rallying this coming Monday, July 11th to Save the Attic. There will rallies from 8:00am-10:00am as well as from 4:00pm-6:00pm. Come to one or both!

Last year, an NV Energy transformer in Las Vegas exploded, forcing many businesses to close and causing many of our fellow Nevadans to lose their jobs. You’re probably not surprised to learn that NV Energy hasn’t fixed the problem.

Now, one of the businesses affected by the explosion – The Attic, a vintage clothes store and Vegas mainstay – is in imminent danger of closing its doors for good. They’re holding a rally this Monday and you can send NV Energy a strong message by showing up and making your voice heard.
