Eva Longoria Paker to Be Inducted into Madam Tussauds Las Vegas During National Hispanic Heritage Month

In celebration of National Hispanic Heritage Month, Eva Longoria Parker will be immortalized in wax by Madame Tussauds at her Las Vegas nightclub, Eve, on Wednesday, October 13.

To commemorate this event, the multi-talented philanthropist, producer, and star of ABC-TV’s “Desperate Housewives,” will be in attendance at Eve for a side-by-side, private unveiling of her figure. Following the reveal, Longoria Parker will host Eve Wednesdays, Vegas’ hottest industry night at 10:30 p.m.

“We are thrilled to add Eva Longoria Parker’s figure to our attraction,” said Madame Tussauds Las Vegas General Manager Rosita Chapman.  “As one of one of the premiere figures in the entertainment industry, Eva is a beloved performer, philanthropist and spokesperson.  She is an outstanding role model to many, especially within the Hispanic charitable community.”

Longoria Parker’s figure will don the original red one-shoulder Carolina Herrera dress she wore to the Alma Awards in 2008.   The figure will wear a replica of her Possession wedding band.  The original wedding band, designed by Piaget, is adorned with two rows of 80 brilliant-cut diamonds separated by a row of 27 square-cut diamonds.

National Hispanic Heritage Month, observed September 15 through October 15, recognizes and celebrates the important presence of Hispanic Americans in North America .  With her induction into Madame Tussauds Las Vegas, Longoria Parker will be recognized for her success, outstanding leadership and strong philanthropic efforts.

As one of the world’s premier supporters of various Hispanic causes, Longoria Parker serves as the national spokesperson for PADRES Contra El Cáncer, a nonprofit organization committed to improving the quality of life for Latino children with cancer and their families, for whom she is a national spokesperson. Additionally, Longoria Parker founded the non-profit organization Eva’s Heroes, which helps developmentally challenged children and young adults between the ages of 14 and 21, integrate and flourish in society. Together with her husband, Longoria Parker has taken an active role in Make-A-Wish France, an organization that grants wishes to children with life-threatening medical conditions. She has also taken an active role in helping the earthquake-stricken people of Haiti by acting as spokesperson for the charity aHomeInHaiti.org, which raises funds to build homes in Haiti .

Legendary Comedian Don Rickles....Mr. Warmth!! The Orleans!

Celebrated entertainer and Las Vegas mainstay Don Rickles brings his one-of-a-kind comedy back to The Orleans Showroom October 16 and 17, each evening at 8 p.m.

Rickles took his first step toward national fame in 1957 when Frank Sinatra wandered into the small Hollywood nightclub where Rickles was performing. The still-unknown Rickles eyed Sinatra and said, “I just saw your movie, The Pride and the Passion, and I want to tell you, the cannon’s acting was great. And, make yourself at home, Frank. Hit somebody.” Sinatra doubled up laughing and became one of Rickles’ biggest boosters among Hollywood celebrities. Rickles soon became the “in” comic among Hollywood stars, who flocked to his nightclub engagements to become the targets of his insults.

As a star-struck kid in New York City, Rickles aspired to share the big screen with such greats as Clark Gable and James Cagney. His wish came true in 1958 when he appeared in Run Silent Run Deep, starring Clark Gable. Rickles went on to receive critical praise for his villainous performance in The Rat Race in 1960.

During a period between acting assignments, Rickles tried and succeeded at stand-up comedy. Audiences laughed harder at his impromptu insults than at his prepared material, and Rickles’ legend as the king of insult comics was born.

Jermaine Dupri was holding court!! Where?? In Las Vegas!!!

Record producer, rapper and songwriter, Jermaine Dupri was at Rain Nightclub at Palms Casino Resort on Friday night (10.8.10). He came in at 1:15 a.m. with a group of five people and partied on the stage. Dupri entertained the crowd with his DJ set. They left around 3 a.m.

Mariah Carey spoiled her husband Nick Cannon with scrumptious sweets from Sugar Factory at his 30th birthday party in Los Angeles on Saturday night. Carey made a special request for the custom, candy-stocked bar Sugar Factory created as her husband has a notorious sweet tooth. Sasha Grey turns it on at The Playboy Club - Las Vegas!!

Film star and actress of HBO’s TV series, Entourage, Sasha Grey dined at Nove Italiano inside Palms Casino Resort Saturday night (10.9.10).  Accompanied by a party of five, they sat at a table on the terrace and enjoyed the beautiful Strip view.  Grey and her party indulged in pizza, crudo and panzanella salad to start.  For her main course, she ordered the pennette vodka.  For dessert, they had the signature cannoli plate, strawberry carpaccio and cheesecake.

Following her meal, Grey partied upstairs at Playboy Club where she was the special celebrity host and surprised the crowd with a unique 15-minute set on the turntables.  She was also presented with the prestige Playboy Club key.  Grey was seen enjoying Ketel One mixed cocktails.

Upstairs at Moon Nightclub, alternative hip-hop artist, Travie McCoy performed two songs from his debut solo album, Lazarus including, “We’ll Be Alright” and his hit “Billionaire.”  McCoy and eight friends enjoyed mixed cocktails and champagne. Before performing, he gave Grey a nice shout out. Earlier in the night, the two walked the red carpet together.

Ultimate Fighting Championship President Dana White also partied at Moon Nightclub. White and four friends enjoyed mixed cocktails and were seen dancing along to McCoy's performance.

David Blaine Appears at the HRH...stays awhile!!

Over at The Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, Las Vegas, David Blaine, American illusionist and endurance artist was spotted at Vanity nightclub following a stop at the Down & Derby Roller Disco inside The Joint. After posing for pictures with fans in front of the club, he entered Vanity and after a short while found himself in the DJ booth with resident DJ Eric D-Lux. Blaine hung out at Vanity taking in the scene then made his exit into the Vegas night.
