Hollywood comes to the Palms! Fantasia Record Release and Fantasy Football! STARS!

Palms Casino Resort was the place to be as the 2nd Annual Fantasy Football Superdraft Weekend lured in celebrity and Hollywood faces to 9 Group’s infamous venues Friday night, Aug. 27.

Rain Nightclub hosted an album release party for R&B/soul singer best known for winning the title of American Idol (2004), Fantasia Barrino. Fantasia celebrated the release of her third studio album, Back to Me and treated the packed venue to a live performance of songs including new track, “Bittersweet” and her own rendition of “Purple Rain.” Other celebrity guests spotted at Rain Nightclub included: actor Ashton Kutcher and wife/actress Demi (Moore), actress Soleil Moon Frye (Punky Brewster), actress, model and former professional wrestler Stacy Keibler, actor and and DJ Danny Masterson, rapper and actor Flavor Flav (real name William Drayton, Jr.), Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps, and actress Shannon Elizabeth. They all enjoyed Fantasia’s performance from the VIP booth on stage where many of them were seen dancing and enjoying mixed cocktails.

Earlier at Rain Nightclub, Keibler hosted the official Superdraft after-party. At Palms Pool & Bungalows, Grammy-nominated artist Snoop Dogg (real name Cordozar Calvin Broadus) headlined the Superdraft Tailgate Party.

N9NE Steakhouse hosted to the stars who came in to enjoy dinner before their night of revelry. Kutcher and Demi dined with a large group of about 20 friends including Masterson, Frye, Elizabeth, Phelps and Keibler. The entire table shared signature appetizers such as rock shrimp, potsickers, sashimi and ravioli. Kutcher enjoyed the ribeye and spinach for his entrée while Moore had Morty’s lemon chicken and a side of steak fries. Keibler originally came in and sat at the bar with a friend, but later joined the large party.

In the private dining room, Fantasia dined with Gavin Maloof and friends where they shared a shellfish platter. For her entrée, Fantasia indulged in the bone-in filet. They feasted on an assortment of dessert including the red velvet cupcakes. Fantasia looked stunning in a black and silver dress with black stiletto knee-high boots. Phelps stopped by to say hello. Fantasia was also seen in the kitchen signing Executive Chef Barry S. Dakake’s famous Shakedown door.

Earlier that afternoon, Ditch Fridays at Palms Pool & Bungalows hosted to a number of celebrity guests including: rapper Warren G (real name Warren Griffin III); sportscaster Scott Van Pelt who sat at a cabana with five friends; Phelps who came in solo to check out the scene; rapper Kurupt (real name Ricardo Emmanuel Brown); and rapper Shwayze (real name Aaron Smith) who performed to the Ditch crowd.

Celebrating at LAVO - Birthday boy Brody Jenner and other stars!

Friday night Brody Jenner, who turned 27 on August 21st celebrated at LAVO. The reality TV star along with his brother Brandon and group of guy friends started the night with a dinner of Italian favorites including LAVO’s Kobe Meatball, Chicken Parmagiano, Penne a la Vodka and dessert of Oreo Zeppole and Strawberry Shortcake. After dinner they headed up to the nightclub, taking over a dance floor table stocked with Amstel Light and Jagermeister. Jenner’s girlfriend Avril Lavigne had been expected to join him but had to head straight to LA from Sweden where she was recording a new album. Jenner stuck close to his boys even as girls in the club clamored to get near him – a bachelorette party even had to be escorted away from his table after trying a little too hard to get close. He politely posed for photos with fans, but professed his love for only one person, his brother Brandon. Jenner was surprised with a Gimme Some Sugar cake that was a replica of his prized ’68 Dodge Charger.

Holly’s World co-star Angel Porrino was spotted with boyfriend Tal Cooperman checking out the scene at LAVO.

Later in the night Jenner and crew made their way over to TAO, stopping in the casino to try their luck for a few hands before continuing the party. Once at TAO Jenner hopped into the DJ booth with Ross One and grabbed the mic – after asking that all the lights be turned up in the club he once again let the crowd know how much he loves his brother and then the LA native gave a shout out to the West Coast, sending the packed club into a frenzy.

Also spotted at TAO on Friday were Floyd Mayweather, Jr., Pauly Shore and Olympic swimmer and gold medalist Cullen Jones.

Aug. 30 is MGM Grand’s Wet Your Appetite at Wet Republic from 8 p.m. to midnight. The opening celebration will feature booths and food stations from several of the 80 participating restaurants. Guests will have the opportunity to taste dishes prepared by chefs from several of the MGM property restaurants. Heineken-brand beers and wine also will be available..
Complimentary food and drinks will be available until 10 p.m. and tickets bought in advance for this event can be used as a $30.10 dining voucher at any participating MGM Grand restaurant during Restaurant Week.

Olympic gold medalist Michael Phelps returned to Encore Beach Club for the second time this week. The American swimmer took over an upstairs bungalow with a group of seven friends. Phelps ate chicken fingers and sipped on vodka soda drinks while relaxing on a daybed just outside of the bungalow
