“The Cooler,” cleverly crafted by RHUMBAR’s expert mixologist Kristin Schaefer combines the freshest seasonal ingredients including slices of grapefruit, orange and lime, fresh-picked mint, orange flavored rum, a splash of Sprite and a dash of rock candy.

Touro UniversityNevada graduate travels to Washington, D.C. to lobby for additional funding for adolescent sudden cardiac arrest research
Touro University Nevada (TUN) graduate and assistant professor, Scott Lamprecht, DNP, RN, is traveling to Washington , D.C. to meet with Senator Harry Reid and other legislators for additional funding through the American Heart Association for adolescent sudden cardiac arrest research.
Dr. Lamprecht was one of the first students to graduate from TUN’s Doctor of Nursing Practice (DNP) program and is an Assistant Professor at the university’s School of Nursing . During his doctoral program work, he compiled evidence and developed a screening tool to recognize the potential risk of sudden cardiac arrest in adolescent athletes. Pilot screenings showed the tool had positive predictive value in identifying potentially life-threatening outcomes if left untreated.
“We are very proud of what Dr. Lamprecht has accomplished with his research,” said Senior Provost & CEO, Michael Harter, Ph.D. “It has already made an impact on lives in Southern Nevada by helping to identify 29 adolescents at risk for sudden cardiac arrest.”
With additional funding, research about adolescent sudden cardiac arrest can be expanded.Additional research can be used to educate health care providers to screen for risk of sudden cardiac death in adolescents during sports physicals.
About the Doctor of Nursing Practice Program
The DNP program at TUN is designed to prepare professional nurses for the highest level of leadership in specialized nursing practice. This program is for licensed registered nurses with a master’s degree and either the bachelors of science or masters must be in nursing. Students complete required core courses and a flexible practice component that tailors the program towards advanced nursing practice with specialties in the areas of administration, informatics, healthcare policy or clinical care.

Last night, DJ Skribble began his weekly residency at Studio 54 inside of the MGM Grand with his production Freak Show.All of the freaks came out to celebrate with Skribble as he took the stage and began mixing top 40, hip hop and rock electro mixes.The freak show performance consisted of people swallowing swords, eating broken shards of glass and lifting weights from their eye sockets.The legendary turntablist brought a high energy performance to the club and gave partygoers a night of spectacular music.The iconic mix master has finally settled into his new home on The Strip as he sets to deliver a non-stop party and over-the-top entertainment every single week.It’s no question that DJ Skribble will heat up the dance floor every week as he spins energetic tracks that will transform the club into a modern day circus freak show.

Other salons featured included: Asha Salon Spa in Lombard , Ill. , Cristiano Cora Studio in New York , N.Y. , Gene Juarez in Seattle , Wash. , Mizu in Boston , Mass. and St. Germain by Molecule in WashingtonDC .
Boychuck, who previously ran salons at the Bellagio Hotel and Casino and The Venetian, currently has three Las Vegas salons: COLOR by Michael Boychuck at Caesars Palace, AMP salon at the Palms and PRIMP at Palms Place. Boychuck is also widely recognized for his work with Paris Hilton, a client for more than 15 years, who recently stated, “(Boychuck) is the best colorist in the world! I love how he makes my hair look.”
George Maloof partnered with Boychuck to open AMP salon at the Palms in 2001. AMP is known for its laid back style and is popular among the city’s most stylish locals. COLOR opened in late 2007 at CaesarsPalace and is Boychuck’s largest salon. Its luxurious design by Faye Resnick provides guests with style, in style. His newest salon, PRIMP, opened in May 2008. The minimalistic salon is an oasis for guests and residents alike at the lush Palms Place ..
