VINCE NEIL AND CELEBRITY FRIENDS PLAY POKER FOR A GREAT CAUSE

Charity Poker Tournament to Benefit the Skylar Neil Foundation

Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is pleased to host Vince Neil’s 5^th Annual “Off The Strip Poker Tournament” on Sunday, November 8th at 7:00pm to benefit the Skylar Neil Foundation. The No-Limit Texas Hold ‘Em Poker Tournament will be the center of the action, just off the casino floor near Buzios restaurant.

Players who want to have a great time while supporting a great cause may register in person at the main casino cage starting at 4:00pm on the day of the event. Participants will vie for a cash prize pool of $50,000, and payouts will be made to the final table. The tournament buy-in is $500 plus a $50 registration fee, and seating is limited to the first 200 entrants. Re-buys to benefit the charity will be offered during play. Corporate sponsorship packages inclusive of player entries into the tournament are also available, and can be arranged in advance by contacting Alan Koenig at 615-972-1600 or by emailing alan@skylarneil.org.

An amazing line-up of both rock and poker stars are anticipated at this year’s tournament, hosted by Vince Neil of Mötley Crüe, and emceed by world renowned poker tournament director Matt Savage. Past players include Johnny Chan, Phil Gordon, Jennifer Harman, Layne Flack, Gavin Smith, Andy Block, David Williams, Evelyn Ng, Todd Brunson, Chip and Karina Jett, Lee Watkinson, Liz Lieu, Marc Traniello, Hoyt Corkins, Tom McEvoy and Kathy Leibert.

A cocktail reception for players and celebrities will take place in the tournament area beginning at 6:00pm, and a live charity auction will be held just prior to play. A silent auction will be held throughout the event, giving both players and the public the chance to bid on an incredible collection of music, sports and movie memorabilia. All proceeds from the poker tournament as well as the silent and live auctions will benefit the Skylar Neil Foundation.

Late but HOT Halloween Re-Cap! Holly Madison "Queen of Hearts" at Studio 54!

Last week-end, Holly Madison hosted “HollyWeen” at the illustrious Studio 54 nightclub at MGM Grand, donning a gorgeous Queen of Hearts costume by Trashy Lingerie for the Halloween festivities. She walked the red carpet and told reporters that she chose her outfit in hopes of having a Vegas-inspired ensemble. Once inside, the burlesque beauty mingled with friends and PEEPSHOW cast mates in the VIP area, overlooking the dance floor and packed crowd below. At 2 am, Holly made a grand entrance onto the stage to host the costume contest, being lowered two stories on an aerialist swing before taking the mic and introducing the candidates for the most original and sexiest costumes.

The winner for most original costume went to "The Ghost of Michael Jackson" which was a large outfit that included Michael's signature hair style and glitzy clothing but completely hid the contestant's body to give the impression of a ghostly figure. The creator, Christina Brewer from Mesa, AZ, said it took almost three months to create. The sexiest costume went to a Playboy Playmate impersonator, Charity Hodges from Los Angeles. Both contestants were awarded $5,000 for their efforts.

Santana strikes a chord and reaches out to hungry children! You can help!

Santana Strikes A Chord for Hungry Children Legendary musician Carlos Santana will help raise food, funds and awareness for America’s hungry children during the November performances of his multi-year resident show entitled Supernatural Santana: A Trip Through the Hits, at The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas.

During the eight Santana performances in November, presented by AEG Live, concertgoers who bring five non-perishable food items or make a $5 donation to the Three Square Food Bank will receive a $5 gift certificate to participating restaurants Ago and Rare 120 inside Hard Rock Hotel & Casino. Representatives from Three Square will be on hand before and after each performance night (Nov. 11, 13, 14, 15, 18, 20, 21, and 22) to collect donations from participating fans. Coordinating the effort will be WHY (World Hunger Year). WHY is dedicated to fighting the root causes of hunger and poverty by supporting grassroots organizations that create self-reliance, economic justice and equal access to nutritious and affordable food.

“It is my honor to help World Hunger Year and those who are in need in Las Vegas,” Carlos Santana said. “This year above all others in recent memory is an important one to help our brothers and sisters of this family we call the human race. Celebrity wrap up from TAO!

True Blood star Rutina Wesley wrapped up Halloween weekend relaxing in the sun on the last day of the TAO Beach season. The Las Vegas native stuck to Red Bull and snacked on a burger while telling everyone how much she loved hosting at LAVO for Veuve Clicquot’s Yelloween.

LAVO wrapped up the weekend with Vice-O-Ween Sunday, where Wilmer Valderrama came to hear DJ Vice spin. Vice was on the dance floor, taking a short break from spinning when Valderrama, of “That 70’s Show” fame surprised him. Vice was thrilled to see his friend and jumped back in the DJ booth, while Valderrama took over a VIP table where he stayed until 4 am, hopping on the mic throughout the night to get the crowd going.
