Partygoers made their way to the
Palms Pool & Bungalows inside
Palms Casino Resort Saturday night (7.25.09) as the pool served as the official
Kandy Vegas playground, transforming into a massive ultra-lounge for the
Kandy Vegas Lingerie Ball.
The evening featured a unique poolside performance by
Grammy award-winning artist,
Snoop Dogg, who is best known for, “
Drop It Like It’s Hot,” “Sensual Seduction” and “Gin & Juice.” Joining him was
Give Records sexiest new recording artist,

Following
Snoop Dogg’s performance, he and eight of his friends hung out and enjoyed the scene from a
VIP cabana where they sipped on mixed drinks.
Celebrities spotted amongst the masses included: Portland Trail Blazers, Greg Oden, who was accompanied by five others; retired
NFL athlete Jamie Sharper, who sat in a pool deck cabana with three friends;
St. Louis Rams running back,
Steven Jackson, who also enjoyed the party from a pool deck cabana with three others; singer and reality star,
Ashley Parker Angel; and the cast of reality show,
Sunset Tan- Ania Migdal, Devin Haman, Janelle Perry, Jeff Bozz, Jenae Alt, Molly Shea and Nick D’Anna.

DJs, psychedelic décor and mind-blowing theme props right off the set of Willy Wonka – Kandy islands floating in the center of the pool, strolling performers, whimsical dancers, larger-than-life lollipops and fluorescent candy poles. Women strutted their most delicious Kandy-style lingerie and men were fashionably dressed all white attire. In keeping with
Karma Foundation tradition, a portion of proceeds from the weekend will benefit the organization,
Reading for Kids.
Upstairs in
Moon Nightclub, Greg Oden arrived around 2 a.m. with a group of friends.
Earlier that evening
Electronic music group
Rabbit in the Moon dined at
Nove Italiano with a party of 15. They feasted on a variety of appetizers including sausage pizza, calamari and crudo. For their main course, they enjoyed signature dishes such as a variety of steaks, Nove spaghetti and Alaskan halibut. They made their way to
Rain Nightclub where they spun their beats on the turntables, keeping the crowd going all night long.
Saturday afternoon, the preliminary judging of the
Miss Sunset Tan pageant took place, and included appearances by the cast of
Sunset Tan, Ashley Parker Angel and celebrity judges such as Vegas’ own celebrity journalist, Robin Leach.

Toad the Wet Sprocket, an alternative rock band best known for their hits “All I Want” and “Walk on the Ocean.”
First formed in 1986 their mellow, melodic folk-pop sound made them one of the most successful alternative rock bands of the early 1990s. Though officially broken up since 1998, the foursome has worked together off and on over the years. In May of 2009 they played a four show mini-tour. Positive crowd response brought them together for a second 12-stop mini tour this summer.
