Sizzling Sounds in the Lounge! Palace Station...

Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns bring its sizzling sound to Palace Station The esteemed 15-man band plays late night every Saturday

Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns, a staple in the Las Vegas music scene since the ’70s, will perform every Saturday night inside Bonkerz Comedy Club at Palace Station beginning May 2. The shows begin at midnight and there is no cover. Santa Fe bandleader and founder Jerry Lopez assembled a group of revered musicians from New Mexico and brought them to Las Vegas in the ’70s. The group immediately attracted crowds filled with other professional musicians, performers and visiting musical celebrities who often got on stage with the group. Today, Santa Fe has combined with The Fat City Horns to create a 15-man band that features a six-piece horn section and a nine-piece rhythm section which includes four lead singers.

The Golden Nugget will begin its newest promotion June 28, giving away $69,000 in cash and a brand-new 2010 Chevy Camaro SS over 10 weeks, tying in with the Fremont Street Experience’s Summer of ’69: Vegas or Bust celebration.

The $100,000 Cash ‘n’ Camaro Giveaway will feature many ways for guests to earn entries to win the cash and prizes, including playing table games and slots, as well as joining the hotel’s 24 Karat Club.

Entry forms can be earned and dropped into the promotional drawing drum on the casino floor starting June 28. Drawings for $6,900 in cash will be held every Saturday at 9 p.m. beginning July 4. What Celebrities were doing at The Bunny Hunt!

Palms Pool & Bungalows at Palms Casino Resort hosted the 3rd Annual Ditch Bunny Hunt this afternoon and lured in the masses, including some well known celebrity names. R&B artist, Maxwell enjoyed the scene from the privacy of a cabana and was joined by a friend.

Across the way in another cabana, MMA artist Michael Bisping hung out with two others. Dressed in white board shots and t-shirt, Bisping was seen drinking water and diet coke and eating a chop salad. Others seen partying poolside were Sean May of the Charlotte Bobcats, accompanied by 10 and ESPN journalist Steve Levy, who was seen drinking Miller Lite.
