Celebrity Sighting - Well Known News Person!

Chris Hansen, correspondent for NBC News' award-winning program, Dateline NBC, dined at N9NE Steakhouse inside Palms Casino Resort Monday evening (6.15.09). Wearing a gray suit, Hansen and five other guests enjoyed dinner in the main dining room. The party enjoyed appetizers including the crispy fried calamari and chicken wontons. They sipped on wine and for dessert, indulged in the chocolate truffle cake.

Comedic duo The Laughing Samoans to perform at The Pearl Concert Theater inside the Palms Casino Resort on Saturday, July 18, 2009 as part of the group’s Prettyfull Woman Tour.

The comedic partners in crime, Eteuati Ete and Tofiga Fepulea’I, grew up together and performed their first show together, although not as a duo, aptly titled “Laughing with Samoans” in 2003. In October 2004, adopting a rendition of the performance name, they premiered their first show at The Laughing Samoans called A Small Samoan Wedding. This was another hit with sold-out shows throughout New Zealand and the show eventually toured in Hawaii and the United States . $1 from the sale of each ticket will be donated by event producers Maori Inc. to Masi Sala, a Las Vegas-based rugby player and coach injured during a game this past March who was left paralyzed from the shoulders down. The Pearl Box Office is open from noon – 7:00 p.m. daily. Happy Belated Birthday Wayne Brady!! LAVO!

Sunday night at LAVO inside The Palazzo, entertainer Wayne Brady celebrated his 37th birthday. The night began with an early dinner before his show with a group of 15 friends. Post show he returned to the nightclub with a group that had doubled in size. Cast, crew, friends and family all toasted Brady with cake and cocktails. DJ Vice topped off the party with birthday shout outs and played several songs from Brady’s CD. Also spotted at LAVO, soccer players Joleon Lescott, who plays for Everton and Wayne Hennessey, goal keeper for the Wolverhampton Wanderers in the Premier League.

It was a star-studded Sunday night at Palms Casino Resort as the CineVegas Film Festival came to an end. Grammy-nominated comedienne Lisa Lampanelli dined at N9NE Steakhouse with a friend. Dressed in an Ed Hardy shirt, camouflage pants and black heels, Lampanelli and her guest sipped on cocktails and FIJI Water.

Rain Nightclub hosted CineVegas’ closing ceremony, which included celebrity names such as actress Maria Menounos, actor and filmmaker Dennis Hopper, film and stage actor Williem Dafoe, actor Jon Voight and professional skateboarder Tony Hawk. Many honorees received recognition for their work in the film industry. Around 8 p.m., guests made their way to Nove Italiano to continue the celebration. Nearly 60 guests were in attendance including Defoe, Hawk, Voight and Hopper. The party dined on the terrace and enjoyed the view of the Strip, while sipping on vodka cocktails. Both Hopper and Hawk had the filet mignon for their main course, while Voight feasted on the salmon. In between courses, CineVegas presented more awards. Hawk, Voight and Dafoe were later spotted at Playboy Club where they sat at VIP tables, drinking beer and mixed drinks with friends. Upstairs at Moon Nightclub, DJ Scotty Boy celebrated his birthday with world-renowned friends including DJs and remixers Donald Glaude and Miss Lisa as well as the dynamic duo Scooter and Lavelle.
