Poolside Bash and Rock N Roll and BBQ!

Rock tribute concert series sets sail with Second Saturdays at Sunset Station Today marks the kickoff of the poolside bash and Rockin’ KOMP BBQ complete with drink specials!
Sunset Station and KOMP 92.3 FMThe Rock Station have partnered for a free concert series every second Saturday of the month beginning June 13 and running through October. The concerts will feature the best rock tribute bands performing poolside as well as a delicious and affordable barbecue.
The Second Saturdays at Sunset Station concert series will be a giant party with music, swimming, lounging, dancing and best of all cocktails and barbecue. Doors open at 6 p.m. and the show begins at 8:30 p.m. at the poolside stage. The concerts will feature a tasty barbecue sponsored by KOMP with $1 nachos, $2 hotdogs and $3 burgers – the first 92 people in the door will receive a voucher for one free nacho, hot dog, hamburger and draft beer. Drink specials include $1 draft beer, free Bacardi punch from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. and $2 shot specials throughout the night. Admission is free of charge which gives guests complete access to the barbecue, concert and pool area. KOMP will host an on-air giveaway for several VIP packages that include poolside cabanas for up to six people as well as bottle service and food during the event and a hotel room for the night, so be sure to tune in.
The Rockin’ KOMP BBQ will also feature an on-air broadcast live from Sunset Station from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. as well as a bikini contest, sponsored by Hooter’s, in between sets.

The Bullring at Las Vegas Motor Speedway will honor all police officers, firemen and ambulance personnel with free spectator admission on Saturday night. All police department, fire department and ambulance company employees with ID will be admitted free-of-charge to a night of NASCAR-sanctioned short track stock car racing on Emergency Personnel Appreciation Night. The evening’s racing action will include the 55-lap Outlaw Modified Shootout, MetroPCS Super Late Models (in the first race of the K&N Filters Triple Crown Challenge), Chargers, Bombers, Legends Cars, Bandoleros and kids’ box-car races. Total Image Salon and Chi Products will offer free haircuts on the midway.
