PRIDE Parade thru Lola Belle's Eyes

Hello Everyone,

Wow yesterday was such a special day for me! I had the opportunity to pawticipate in the 26th Annual PRIDE Parade here in Las Vegas. The air was filled with excitement and anticipation, and everyone was wearing their PRIDE.

We had the honor of walking with the Harrah's group and they were all so super friendly to me and you see love and acceptance is how we all should be towards each other. I met two other really cute dogs and they seemed to like me too!!! Both were rescues and they were also having a pawty good time.

Once we stared walking, oh yes did I mention that we were by the Chippendales, BOL, BOL, very nice and cute guys. Walking along and seeing the crowds of people who came out to show their support for the GLBT community made me proud to be a part of this community.

A very disturbing portion that made my hair stand on end was a group of people that were shouting what sounded to me like mean ugly things, I asked Mommy who are they? She gave me a kiss and whispered in my ear, those are people who unfortunately see things one way and that I need not worry about them. But I thought why?? I LOVE ALL DOGS and it does not matter if they are young, old, grumpy, neutered, uneutered, why can't people be like that?

I had a little feeling of how it must be like to be a movie star, walking and then pawing (waving) at people and they clapped...WOW! Thank you to everyone who came out and supported and also for making me feel so welcome! For more information go to http://lasvegaspride.org/events.htm

What Celebrities are doing??

Earlier Thursday evening, Canadian actor, songwriter and talk show host Alan Thicke enjoyed dinner at N9NE Steakhouse with two guests. Also at N9NE Steakhouse was professional skateboarder, Ryan Sheckler, who is best known for being the star in the MTV reality show, Life of Ryan. Wearing a Red Bull baseball cap, jeans and white skater shoes, Sheckler was joined by friend and co-owner of DCMA Collective Clothing, Tal Cooperman. The duo sat in the lounge and enjoyed the signature rock shrimp and macaroni and cheese. Sheckler was also engaged in a conversation with General Manager Jesse Shen as they discussed Scheckler’s past injuries, broken bones and how they happened.

No Longer Newlyweds but Still Madly in LOVE! Mariah & Nick

On Thursday night Nick Cannon and Mariah Carey celebrated their one-year anniversary at the Palms Casino Resort. The night started out with dinner for 50 family and friends at Simon at Palms Place. There were candles set up on the tables and a sign that read Happy Anniversary Mariah & Nick. Guests enjoyed the surf and turf!

The party moved to Moon Nightclub inside the fantasy tower at the Palms shortly after midnight. They gathered together with their friends and family in a VIP booth where Nick surprised Mariah with a video presentation of great moments from their first year of marriage. Everyone in the club toasted them while Nick and Mariah cut into a towering white Duncan Hines cake that was topped with a pink bow of frosting. About 1,000 Balloons were released into the sky when the Moon roof opened. Nick then took over the DJ booth and spun a special mix for the packed club. Mariah sparkled in a silver mini dress and smiled and laughed as she danced to the music. VIP guests included Antonio “LA” Reid, Steve Bartles, Tyrese Gibson, Sanaa Lathan, and Floyd Mayweather all attended the party. Other celebrities inside Moon included Rap Artist E-40, actor and comedian Kenan Thompson and Boxer Zab Judah.

Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns, a staple in the Las Vegas music scene since the ’70s, will perform every Saturday night inside Bonkerz Comedy Club at Palace Station beginning May 2. The shows begin at midnight and there is no cover.

Today, Santa Fe has combined with The Fat City Horns to create a 15-man band that features a six-piece horn section and a nine-piece rhythm section which includes four lead singers. The majority of the band consists of working musicians for shows on the Strip such as “Jersey Boys,” “Wayne Brady,” “The Lion King,” “Donny & Marie” and Bette Midler’s “The Showgirl Must Go On,” which employs the entire horn section. On Saturday nights, the dynamic band will get together and jam, playing a mix of original songs and covers, creating an unparalleled sound that seamlessly blends funk, soul, salsa and jazz. Janice Dickinson — the original supermodel who has graced the covers of 37 issues of Vogue worldwide and stars in her own television series “The Janice Dickinson Modeling Agency,” the Oxygen Network’s most-watched docudrama, hosts the finalé on Saturday, May 2, and judges the final 12 contestants. Andrew Christian — designer of contemporary collections of urban inspired menswear, swimwear, edgy tees and accessories — is providing his innovative underwear designs to the models throughout the week and judging the finalé. The Perry Twins, identical twin deejays Doug and Derek out of Los Angeles, spin that night.
