They’re back! Legendary rock band Guns N’ Roses marked its triumphant return to The Joint at Hard Rock Hotel & Casino to launch its second residency, An Evening of Destruction. No Trickery!, on Wednesday, May 21. We saw the show on May 25th courtesy of www.Klout.com and it is simply amazing!!! 

Actor and friend of the band Nicolas Cage helped kicked off the sold-out show by getting concertgoers amped up as Guns N’ Roses prepared to take Las Vegas by storm. Within seconds of his exit, guitarist DJ Ashba elevated into the air on a center stage platform overlooking the crowd followed by a firework display during which vocalist Axl Rose, guitarists Ron “Bumblefoot” Thal and Richard Fortus, bassist Tommy Stinson, keyboardists Dizzy Reed and Chris Pitman, and drummer Frank Ferrer appeared alongside him. In true Guns N’ Roses fashion, the band welcomed everyone to the jungle with its all-new, never-before-seen production.

Throughout the show, fans were wowed with the over-the-top production, which included large LED screens above and around the stage, fireworks and laser displays, beautiful dancers, platforms and more. In addition to the elaborate theatrics, Guns N’ Roses delivered a set-list full of its biggest hits including “Sweet Child O’ Mine,” “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Paradise City,” “Mr. Brownstone,” “Estranged,” an intimate piano rendition of “November Rain” by Rose and more. Iconic four-time GRAMMY Award–winning R&B group Boyz II Men will be making a special appearance on an upcoming episode of The Bachelorette.  The episode will feature a special group date where this season’s suitors perfect the art of musical harmony and put on a once in a lifetime performance for the newest Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman. Boyz II Men will also perform brand-new songs from their upcoming album Collide. The episode is scheduled to air on a special night, Sunday, June 1, 2014, at 8/7c on ABC, the first of a two-night viewing event of The Bachelorette. The series will also air a new episode in its regular time period of Mondays 8/7c.

Thrilling! VooDoo Zip Line At The Rio Is Now OPEN!

VooDoo Zip Line at Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino is now open to the general public. The feet-dangling, adrenaline rush attraction launched its grand opening event hosted by mixed martial arts announcer Bruce Buffer on Sunday, May 25.

Hours before the event started, thrill seekers lined up at the door to be among the first to ride Las Vegas’ newest attraction. Buffer kicked off the event as he buckled up and yelled his signature catchphrase “it’s time!” while soaring almost 500 feet in the air. A line continued out the door throughout the afternoon. To maximize guests’ experience, VooDoo Zip Line reduced unnecessary wait times by allowing patrons to dine, gamble and enjoy the property while waiting for their reservations. An alert was sent to guests’ cell phones when their ride time was ready. Prior to boarding, all riders received a safety briefing and ride operators were available to answer questions.

Created by New Capital Ventures, VooDoo Zip Line accommodates two riders at once and connects the two towers of the Rio Las Vegas. The attraction begins on the patio of VooDoo Steakhouse, located on the 50th floor of the Masquerade Tower, and propels riders at speeds up to 33 miles per hour to the adjoining 20-story Ipanema Tower. Guests make a return trip to the starting point traveling backwards at 20 miles per hour. Offering one of the best views of Las Vegas, VooDoo Zip Line boasts a 360-degree panorama of the Strip and scenic views of the surrounding mountain ranges. The heart-pumping adventure covers one-third of a mile in one minute and 10 seconds.

VooDoo Zip Line is open from noon to midnight Monday through Thursday and 10 a.m. to midnight Friday through Sunday.
