New Menu Items Now At Sierra Gold! YUMM!

PT’s Entertainment Group, operators of Sierra Gold taverns, announce new menu items now featured at all four Sierra Gold locations in the valley: 6515 S. Jones Rd., 6929 Aliante Parkway, 2400 N. Buffalo Dr. and 1341 W. Warm Springs Rd. in Henderson.

“Our culinary team at Sierra Gold has created a number of cutting edge and sophisticated new offerings including an expanded slider menu, sandwiches and a variety of healthy salads and bowls,” said Joseph Romano, Vice President of Operations for PT’s Entertainment Group. “Now our guests can enjoy even more choices when dining and playing with us.”

The expanded slider choices include Pastrami Reuben Sliders, beef sliders with pastrami, Swiss cheese, coleslaw and thousand island on a pretzel bun; Chili Cheese Sliders, Green Chile Sliders and Roast Beef Sliders.

Already known for their hearty burgers and sandwiches, the taverns will now offer The Big Boy Burger, an all-beef patty topped with fried mozzarella, bacon, thousand island, cheddar cheese, Gold Fever chicken fingers, cheese sauce and a fried egg, or try one of two new Sierra Gold Signature Items: The New Yorker, featuring three varieties of meat and cheese, coleslaw and thousand island on marbled rye; or The Kendrick, which includes oven roasted turkey and beef, bacon, and all the extras on sourdough.

Those looking for lighter fare can try one of the fresh new salads or rice bowls including a zesty Taco Salad; a Greek Salad with lemon vinaigrette; or a healthy Grilled Chicken Quinoa Salad with quinoa, arugula, chicken breast, tomatoes, cucumbers, roasted red peppers, crisp fried onions, red onions, avocado, candied walnuts and raspberry walnut vinaigrette. The rice bowls include fresh vegetables and a choice of Thai Curry Shrimp, Fajita chicken or steak, or Chicken Teriyaki.

PAWN SHOP LIVE! Now At Iconic Riviera Hotel Las Vegas

The producer of the Broadway-style comedy PAWN SHOP LIVE!, a parody of the story behind HISTORY’s reality smash hit “Pawn Stars,” announced today the show will be moving to the  Starlite Theatre inside the Riviera Hotel & Casino on April 21.

“We are thrilled that the show is making a move to the Strip,” said Rick Harrison. “It is close to the Gold & Silver Pawn Shop and I think the Riviera will be a perfect home for the show.”

Created by Emmy® award-winning producer Derek Stonebarger, the production is based on the story of the world's most famous and beloved pawn shop, Gold & Silver Pawn. PAWN SHOP LIVE! includes story contributions from Rick Harrison and the Harrison family. The break-out stars of the TV show have fully endorsed the production, which will run seven days a week at 4:30 p.m. at the Starlite Theatre.

“It’s a dream come true having PAWN SHOP LIVE! running on the Strip,” added Derek Stonebarger. “I can hardly believe how quickly the show has moved to Las Vegas Blvd. The Riviera is a perfect fit!”

PAWN SHOP LIVE! features seven live actors and dancers, as well as a puppet, celebrity guests and surprises as even the real “Pawn Stars” will appear on stage as often as their filming schedule permits. The on-stage characters are lampooned versions of Rick Harrison, Austin “Chumlee” Russell, Corey "Big Hoss" Harrison and Richard “The Old Man” Harrison - better known as Slick, Chump, Lil Boss and Old Fart.

Stonebarger developed the concept of the show while starring in Oscar: A Good Man, a play he created about former Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman. Stonebarger is an award-winning filmmaker and Emmy® award-winning television producer.

Friends, be a voice for the animals and speak up! Remember the pet shop owner that had tried to burn her shop down with the 27 puppies inside? Well, the puppies have been caged up at Las Vegas' municipal kill shelter, The Animal Foundation, until ownership rights were relinquished. An agreement had been worked out to have the puppies released to one of our wonderful rescues , A Home 4 Spot Animal Rescue, that was going to make sure all of the puppies found loving homes.

Well, the politically connected Animal Foundation, who has a history of putting financial gain before the best interests of the animals, made a back room deal with some of the County Commissioners today. The Commissioners suddenly supported The Animal Foundation keeping the puppies, even though they had no legal right, so that they could RAFFLE them, for tickets going for $250 a piece! The Humane Society of the United States is opposed to the raffling of animals for charity and there is even a stipulation in the county code that says no animal shall be bartered in exchange for a transfer of ownership. Instead of focusing on finding good homes for these poor puppies, that have been isolated for over a month, The Animal Foundation is seeing GREEN and wants to make as much cash as possible.

Don't let the Animal Foundation fool you, they do NOT have a shortage of funds. According to their 2012 tax returns, they have 3.5 million sitting in savings and they receive nearly 4 million annually in our tax dollars. Plain and simple, this is about greed!

Bark off with me and call the County Commissioners at 702-455-3500 and demand that they put a stop to this repulsive puppy raffle! Ask for your Commissioner, if you don't know who your Commissioner is they can figure it out for you, some of who are up for reelection this year.

The poor puppies have been through enough and shouldn’t have to continue to suffer as The Animal Foundation tries to make a buck off of them. For those of you who don’t know, The Animal Foundation is a high kill shelter that killed 53% of the animals they took in last year and is also the same shelter my pawrents rescued me from. We have been trying to have this mismanaged organization removed from running our shelter through our non-profit NKLV (No Kill Las Vegas) www.nklv.org.

Marshall Tucker Band Concert Official After-Party For Boyd Gaming 300

The official after-party of the Boyd Gaming 300 will feature southern rock legends The Marshall Tucker Band, March 7 and 8 at The Orleans Showroom.

The Marshall Tucker Band, originally founded by lead singer Doug Gray, got its start in Spartanburg, S.C. and debuted its first album in 1973. The platinum-plus album caught fire and spawned numerous hits, including “Way Out West!,” earning the group a loyal following and numerous headlining engagements across America.
