The Palazzo welcomes wounded veterans on Armed Forces Day!!!

 The Palazzo Las Vegas GIVES WOUNDED VETERANS the red carpet treatment 

The Sands Foundation and The Palazzo Las Vegas have joined with Southwest Airlines and the Armed Forces Foundation to give wounded veterans a special weekend in Las Vegas

In celebration of Armed Forces Day, The Palazzo Las Vegas and Southwest Airlines have joined with the Armed Forces Foundation to salute our nation's wounded veterans with a weekend of entertainment, dining and relaxation in Las Vegas .

A cheering crowd of guests and Palazzo team members will greet the troops at a welcoming reception in the resort’s atrium gardens at 3 p.m. on Friday, May 20.

During their stay, the troops will enjoy The Palazzo’s lavish accommodations, tours of the Las Vegas Strip, tickets to Blue Man Group and the Tony Award-winning “Jersey Boys,” the ultimate sports fan experience at Lagasse’s Stadium, gourmet cookout hosted by Omaha Steaks at The Pools of The Palazzo and services at Canyon Ranch SpaClub among others.

Former NFL athlete and current executive vice president of football operations for the Denver Broncos, John Elway dined at N9NE Steakhouse inside Palms Casino Resort Sunday night.  Accompanied by a party of four, they sat in the main dining room where Elway enjoyed the rib eye and truffle gnocchi.  For dessert, the group shared crème brulee and s’mores.

Saturday, May 14

On Saturday, comedian, actor and singer, Jon Lovitz partied at Playboy Club with one other person.  They sipped on mixed cocktails and hung out by the bunny bar until shortly after 1 a.m.

Palms Awesome new resident DJ, Clinton Sparks, kicked off his Awesome residency with an explosive music set at Moon Nightclub.  Celebrity friends there to support Sparks included film critic and entertainment journalist, Ben Lyons and singer known as JoJo (real name Joanna Levesque) who performed a short cameo with Sparks.  The TV personality and recording artist enjoyed dinner with friends at Nove Italiano earlier that evening.

Also at Moon Nightclub that night: Pittsburgh Steelers athlete Troy Palomalu at a VIP table with eight friends; MMA fighters Urijah Faber and Chad Mendes who celebrated their birthdays with an entourage of 30 and was presented a UFC-themed birthday cake (courtesy of Caked Las Vegas); Green Bay Packers athlete Clay Matthews who celebrated his birthday with eight others; and New York Jets athlete Mark Sanchez with a group of ten.

Matthews had dinner at Nove Italiano where he and guests enjoyed signature dishes and was presented with a birthday cake (courtesy of Caked Las Vegas).  He was also spotted in the kitchen signing Executive Chef Geno Bernardo’s famous celebrity door.

Earlier at N9NE Steakhouse: Faber enjoyed an intimate birthday dinner with 15; Palomalu dined with four others; and Sanchez dined with teammate Dustin Keller and friend and Houston Texans athlete Brian Cushing.

June 1st Event inside Andre’s Cigar & Cognac Lounge Features Unlimited Tasting

Whisky aficionados this one is for you. Andre’s Restaurant & Lounge at Monte Carlo is teaming up with Wirtz Beverage on Wednesday, June 1 to host the second Whisky Wednesday event showcasing what many consider the best tasting whisky, Jack Daniels. Whisky Wednesday takes place inside Andre’s distinctive signature cigar lounge - the only cigar lounge connected to a Las Vegas Strip restaurant.  The event begins at 7 p.m. and concludes by 9 p.m.

The second Whisky Wednesday event will feature a cocktail tasting, staffed with master mixologists showcasing Gentleman Jack, Jack Daniels Single Barrel, and Jack Daniels Tennessee Honey & Woodford Reserve.

Hip-hop superstar, T-Pain, stopped into Sugar Factory’s ( www.SugarFactory.com ) flagship retail store at Paris Las Vegas last night. The performer loved the confectionary emporium’s signature Couture Pops. So much, in fact, he even sang a remix of Wiz Khalifa's "Black and Yellow" about that pop that went a little like, "...black and loll, black and loll, black and loll..." T-Pain perused the store for a few minutes before heading upstairs to take over the DJ booth at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens. 

“Sons of Anarchy” hottie Charlie Hunnam was spotted at Sugar Factory’s delicious eatery, Sugar Factory American Brasserie last night with his friends and the group indulged in mussels, a large pepperoni  pizza,  turkey burgers, black angus filet and even took a few shots of tequila. Before moving upstairs to host his party at Chateau Nightclub & Gardens, the handsome Hunnam filled a Sugar Factory bag with tons of jelly beans.

A few tables down, Disney Channel sweetheart, Debby Ryan, was having fun at her 18th birthday dinner. The starlet donned a fierce red mane and black mini dress with chain-embellished shoulders as she  dined with her mother and two friends at the popular eatery. The group of girls munched on a Monte Cristo sandwich, fettuccini Alfredo, a turkey crepe and indulged in a super-sweet Barbie Milkshake. For dessert, Ryan was presented with a hand-crafted personalized birthday cake to her surprise. After her delicious meal, she stopped in the retail store to stock up on birthday sweets. She kept coming back for more of the wax soda bottles, gummy worms, jawbreakers and picked up an "I Love Candy" tunic. 

Sugar Factory American Brasserie is an American take on a traditional French brasserie, serving delicious cuisine all day, and all night, along with an oversized retail store and signature Chocolate Lounge. Other Sugar Factory retail stores are located at The Mirage and Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood

“Twilight” actress Nikki Reed celebrated her 23rd birthday at Gallery Nightclub ( www.GalleryLV.com ) at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino last night. The gorgeous actress partied with a group of close friends, family and her new beau, American Idol contestant, Paul McDonald. The affectionate couple was seen dancing, kissing and whispering into each other’s ears throughout the night. 

Reed spent her time at a private VIP booth, sipping on Grey Goose vodka and Red Bull as she mingled with her friends, danced and laughed all evening. Reed, who was dressed to impress in a curve-hugging black mini dress and black Miu Miu pumps, was surprised with a lavish, hand-crafted birthday cake from confectionary emporium, Sugar Factory, before the night ended.
