The 1996 Playboy Playmate of the Year, Shauna Sand, was seen at Sugar Factory American Brasserie (www.SugarFactory.com)at Paris Las Vegas yesterday, enjoying lunch with her daughters, Isabella and Victoria. The gorgeous model and mother enjoyed one of the eatery’s signature cheeseburgers while the girls split the rigatoni Bolognese. After their lunch, Sand and her daughters indulged in Sugar Factory’s Cookie Jar, Strawberry and Vanilla milkshakes. She also made sure to pick up some items from Sugar Factory’s retail store such as a Berry Bling Couture Pop and the “I Want Candy” T-shirt. 

Sugar Factory American Brasserie is an American take on a traditional French brasserie, serving delicious cuisine all day, and all night, along with an oversized retail store and signature Chocolate Lounge. Other Sugar Factory retail stores are located at the Mirage and Miracle Mile Shops at Planet Hollywood.

Renowned Pastry Chef Jean-Philippe Maury Showcases Otherworldly Skills with Debut of Giant “Space Bunnies” at Bellagio’s Jean Philippe Pâtisserie

 World renowned pastry chef Jean-Philippe Maury has raised the bar once again with the debut of larger-than life Space Bunnies at Bellagio’s Jean Philippe Pâtisserie, on display through Easter.

Sitting in a chocolate spaceship measuring eight feet in circumference, two Space Bunnies are dressed in edible flight suits and ready to operate flight controls that will take them to a dimension of the chocolate kind. Made from the finest Swiss chocolate, the only non-edible ingredients are working blinking lights that adorn the spacecraft. The out-of-this-world creation took Jean-Philippe and his team a month to complete.

Complementing his incredible Easter display, Jean-Philippe also is unveiling more than 45 Easter creations at Jean Philippe Pâtisserie in both ARIA Resort & Casino and Bellagio, including:

·         Available in boy or girl versions, Jean-Philippe’s Bunny Cakes are a unique way to decorate the table while satisfying a sweet tooth. The boy is chocolate and the girl is fruitcake; they are available April 17 – April 24.

·         Don’t forget about the sports fans. The Chocolate Basketball Bunny and his white chocolate ball are a slam dunk for Easter baskets. A Sports Bunny is also available for loved ones who cheer for multiple teams.

·         It’s not all about the Easter Bunny this year; Jean-Philippe also has created a hand-shaped Chocolate Monkey and even a Hippopotamus.  These hand-molded chocolates are the perfect gift for any unique Easter basket.

The LVCVA recognizes "Hospitality Heroes" at The Venetian!

Earlier today, the LVCVA made a stop at The Venetian and The Palazzo to recognize two of the resorts’ team members as “Hospitality Heroes.” The prestigious awards come during the U.S. Travel Association’s annual National Travel and Tourism Week. Among the honorees was David Wilhite, a founding team member of The Venetian. Wilhite embodies the true spirit of Venetian unmatched guest service even when facing personal adversities. The hospitality veteran, who recently underwent months of chemotherapy treatment, is a respected table games dealer and is admired among his fellow team members for his courage through personal challenges. Wilhite said it’s about always having a positive attitude. “I’ve never had a negative attitude in 25 years of being in the business. I really enjoy coming to work everyday.”

The LVCVA also recognized front desk agent Donna Magan for her sincere guest interaction and caring nature. She is heralded by her team members as a role model, mentor, leader and a friend. Every interaction Magan has comes straight from the heart and the pride she shows in her work makes her an invaluable asset to The Venetian. “I love The Venetian. I’ve been here for eight years and have no intentions of going anywhere else – this is home to me,” said Magan.

McFadden’s Restaurant and Saloon at the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will host a dance competition for a cause Thursday, April 21. “Dance for Debbie: Battle Against Domestic Violence Fundraiser” in honor of Debbie Flores-Narvaez will bring talented dancers together to pop, lock and raise money for the The Shade Tree.

Las Vegas’ best dancers will join forces from 10 p.m. until 3 a.m. in this fundraiser for the late Florez-Narvaez. Contestants will compete in a two-on-two battle of popping, locking and freestyle or a four-on-four dance crew competition. Entry is $10 per person and the winner will be based on crowd participation.
