Sometime life just gets in the way!! However do not let anything get in your way!! For a fun..no make that FANTASTICALLY FUN night out go  see Purple Reign at Hooters Casino! Do you like Prince?  I saw Prince back in the day on his first Purple Reign tour and it is almost like time is standing still…yes Jason Tenner as “Prince” is that GOOD! All that I needed to step back in time was either neon clothing or my own matching Prince Style cravat with my velvet military coat. Yes I do have them but did not want to steal the show. Seriously though this is a truly talented group and not to be missed! Levant Marcus as "Morris E. Day" just adds to the show and the musician’s rock! Okay let me say it one more time..go and SEE “Purple Reign!”

This band first started playing in small college clubs at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas.  They quickly developed a large following local following. Since those humble beginnings, Purple Reign has risen to international acclaim and is known as the world’s number one Prince Tribute show. On November 17, 2008, the group became the first ever tribute/impersonator act to appear as the musical guest on “The Late Show with David Letterman”. This show was later chosen by CBS and The Late Show to ring in the New Year and re-aired January 1st, 2009; making it the first musical performance of 2009 on Letterman. Purple Reign has been crowned “Best Tribute Act of 2009” by the 28th annual Las Vegas Review Journal Poll; winning 2 awards by both the staff and readers. Playboy Club inside Palms Casino Resort hosted its Playboy Club model search Sunday night (11.28.10) and named Devan Nicole (real name Devan Corbitt) Miss Playboy Club December 2010. Nicole, 23, currently resides in Las Vegas and is a Las Vegas go-go dancer.

Emmy Award-winning funny lady Kathy Griffin along with fellow comedians Brad Garrett and Steve White partied at PURE Nightclub inside Caesar’s Palace, last night. Known for her sassy personality and quick fiery tongue, Kathy Griffin spent Thanksgiving in Las Vegas for her one night only show at the Colosseum inside Caesar’s Palace. Following her show, Griffin celebrated her successful performance by stopping by the mega club to relax and let loose. Joined by a large entourage of good friends, the trio of comedians was seen dancing in their exclusive VIP table located on PURE’s main stage surrounded by hundreds of fans.

Shavo Odadjian and a few others from "System of a Down" checked into the property for the holiday weekend. Bass player Odadjian was gaming last night with his wife and her family at the High Limits Black Jack table and tried out a few of the slots.

Las Vegas Bracket Nationals Winners!! LVMS!

Dawson, Burton overall winners of ninth annual Las Vegas Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway

Jenny Dawson (Super Pro) and Brad Burton (Pro) are the overall points winners of the ninth annual Las Vegas Bracket Nationals at The Strip at Las Vegas Motor Speedway. Sunday’s event was started by the wind was too strong to allow the track crews to keep the quarter mile clean and also wreaked havoc with the race cars. In the interest of safety, Sunday’s portion of the Thanksgiving Weekend speedfest was cancelled. Dawson (Long Beach, Calif.) and Burton (Golden, Colo.) earned the most points in their respective classes and were declared the overall winners. Burton won the Pro finals on Friday and Saturday, Dawson won Friday’s Super Pro finale that was held on Saturday.

UFC Fighter Vitor makes fans and little fans very happy!!

On Saturday UFC fighter Vitor Belfort held a signing of his cover of Fighters Only magazine at The Pearl at the Palms to kick off the World Mixed Martial Arts Awards. The awards show is an Oscar-style awards show that celebrates the world of MMA. The awards show will take place this Wednesday at The Pearl and tickets are still available. Locals, military and students receive buy-on-get-one-free for all ticket levels and tickets start at just $59. This year's awards show is hosted by actor and UFC legend Randy "The Natural" Couture.

In Vegas at Society Cafe Encore! You know them all from TV!!

Kelly Ripa came in to Society Cafe Encore in Las Vegas for a mid-afternoon lunch with her husband Mark and their two boys. Kelly enjoyed the Market Chop Salad while Mark had the Tuna Nicoise Salad. The kids dined on the Kobe Dog and “Sloppy Joseph” Sliders. The table shared the Rock Shrimp and Crisp Calamari.

At a booth nearby, her co-host Regis Philbin enjoyed lunch with his wife Joy for the second day in a row. Regis had a Grilled Chicken Salad while his wife ordered the Tuna Nicoise Salad.

At yet another booth Jimmy Kimmel and a friend shared a Caesar Salad, a Lobster Roll “Club”, and a “Build Your Own…” Kobe Burger.
