Build your own burger! Does it or can it possibly get any better? At KGB’s (Kerry Simon’s Gourmet Burger’s) at Harrah’s the possibilities are endless! What would I recommend? Start off your meal with the Waffle Fry Nachos! Crispy waffle potatoes with thick tasty cheddar cheese, jalapenos and surprise..sloppy joe mix which is made from BBQ Short ribs. More than enough for the entire table to share! Want a surprise? Try the Cheeseburger Soup! A rich warm hearty leek soup with bacon and crunchy cheese croutons…how to describe? Comfort food that is truly satisfying in a bowl!
The second best part of a meal at KGB’s? Building your own burger! I started off my burger with BEEF! A juicy natural Angus Beef Burger then served on Iceberg Lettuce. There are however several bun options available. TOPPERS..yes please! Added to this was Gruyere Cheese, Organic Mountain Gorgonzola, thick hearty slices of Applewood Bacon, topped off with mayo. More than a mouthful and the burger was cooked perfectly as requested..medium rare! The varieties that you can add to your burger include a fried egg, wild mushrooms, popcorn shrimp, avocado, caramelized onions and more! Condiment toppings are mayo, spicy mustard, Russian dressing to name a few and are priced right at .50¢ each. We split the order of Sweet Potato tots with ranch dressing. Did not think that you could improve on Tater Tots but KGB did! Crunchy and sweet they are good with either ranch dressing or ketchup. Salads are also an option.
Dessert was a much anticipated event! After seeing the Captain Crunch shake on the menu and my favorite cereal in the world being Captain Crunch, well that was a forgone conclusion! However once again KGB offered a great solution! The trio sampler! Since my fellow diner was also looking forward to the Captain Crunch Shake we each had one and split the Double Chocolate Malt shake. Since it was lunch…sigh…no chance to try the specialty cocktails offered. A full bar menu is available.
KGB is open 11am – 11pm weekdays and 11am – 2am weekends and is located on the World Famous Las Vegas strip in Harrah’s Casino. In the restaurant are TV’s for sports viewing AND the food is prepared from responsibly raised meats and market fresh produce. The pricing is great! We had two appetizers, ice teas, burgers and a side and dessert and the bill was approximately $40. Not bad for a gourmet lunch inside a hip vibrant setting all designed by Iron Chef Winner Kerry Simon! So go and enjoy!
