New Inventions Showcased at Touro University!!

Students from Touro University Nevada ’s School of Occupational Therapy showcased and demonstrated unique inventions they designed and built from concept to prototype to help disabled individuals at the Assistive Technologies Fair on Wednesday. The Assistive Technologies Fair serves as the final project for Occupational Therapy master’s degree candidates completing an advanced course in assistive technologies and adaptive devices. At the event, students individually present a piece of adaptive equipment they have designed and constructed, along with a mini-case study detailing its purpose and use.

Simon Rex and Soccer Players Party at The Bank!!

The Bank: On Sunday, June 6, 2010, Brazilian soccer-players Ronaldo "Ronaldinho" de Assis Moreira and Nelson de Jesus Silva also know as “Dida” entertained at The BANK with a group of seven of their friends. When the emcee announced that Ronaldinho and Dida were seated VIP near the dance floor, a crowd of fans flocked to their table vying for a chance to meet the players. Ronaldinho and Dida loved the attention from the crowd and stayed at The Bank until the early hours of the morning singing along and dancing to Usher’s “OMG,” Jay-Z’s “Empire State of Mind” and Kings Of Leon’s “Use Somebody.” The two ended their evening toasting to the crowd as the DJ gave one final shout-out with the crowd going wild! Also at The BANK on Sunday, Simon Rex, also known as “Dirt Nasty,” performed a remake of House of Pain’s “Jump Around” and the hilarious song “1980.” The crowd sang along jumping up and down with their hands in the air. Lavo's Rewind to the 90's! Host Biz Markie makes it happen!!

Tuesday night LAVO celebrated “Rewind to the 90’s” with host Biz Markie. After hamming it up on the red carpet he dined on favorites such as the Kobe Meatball, Shrimp Alfredo and Eggplant Parmagiano. Once upstairs he surprised club goers with an impromptu performance of his single “Just a Friend,” which was a Top 10 hit. After his performance he continued his hosting duties in the DJ booth, taking pictures with fans, beat boxing and singing along as DJ FIVE spun for the club.
