Rappers Too Short and Xzibit partied at a VIP table at Moon Nightclub inside Palms Casino Resort Tuesday night (6.16.09). Dressed casually in jeans t-shirts, the two were joined by about ten others. They were seen dancing to the music and enjoying the atmosphere, leaving the club around 3 a.m.

AFAN sends 23 children to Camp Courage today!!

2009 AFAN Camp Courage Counselors

At approximately 12:20 p.m. today, Aid for Aids of Nevada (AFAN) sent 23 children to Camp Courage, a two-day long summer camp for children affected and infected by HIV/AIDS. Four vans full of enthused children and camp counselors made their way to Disneyland and are expected to return Friday evening. The mission of Camp Courage is to help children between the ages of 5 and 16 overcome the obstacles associated with HIV/AIDS by providing a therapeutic wilderness experience that fosters self-confidence, social interaction and social support. Thanks to the community’s generous contributions of funds and camp supplies, AFAN celebrates four consecutive years of Camp Courage and looks forward to many more to come.

AID for AIDS of Nevada (AFAN) was founded in 1984 and is the oldest and largest AIDS service organization in the state of Nevada. As part of AFAN’s mission, these client service programs assist in enhancing the physical health and psychosocial wellness of the individuals they serve, while promoting dignity and improving the quality of their lives. Chris Hansen, correspondent for NBC News' award-winning program, Dateline NBC, dined at N9NE Steakhouse inside Palms Casino Resort Monday evening (6.15.09). Wearing a gray suit, Hansen and five other guests enjoyed dinner in the main dining room. The party enjoyed appetizers including the crispy fried calamari and chicken wontons.
