Memorial Day Week-End at the Palms!

Thursday, May 21, 10 p.m. ghostbar hosts its monthly Thursday event, Soundbar, featuring Lisa Shaw, JoJo Flores, Keith Evan, Carlos Sanchez and B. Minogue. Friday, May 22, noon DJ Scotty Boy, DJ Twin and John Huntington will be spinning their beats on Las Vegas’ first and only solar-powered DJ booth, entertaining guests all afternoon during Ditch Friday. Grammy nominated New Zealand folk comedy duo Flight of the Conchords announced their North American Tour with a stop at the Hard Rock Hotel and Casino’s Joint. The tour coincides with the conclusion of the second season of HBO’s hit show “Flight of the Conchords” and the release of the duo’s as-yet-untitled second full-length album for Sub Pop. Flight of the Conchords' self-titled 2008 full-length is nominated for a Grammy for best comedy album. This follows their 2007 Grammy win for the EP The Distant Future in the same category. Stand-up comedian, Arj Barker will open the show.

Hoop There it is...NBA Jerome Williams at HHX

Former NBA Star Jerome Williams will sign autographs at the Hoop Hall Experience (HHX), the official Basketball Hall of Fame’s touring exhibit, at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino this week.

On Saturday, May 23 and Sunday, May 24, the first 100 people with paid admission to HHX will get a complimentary mini Spalding basketball signed by Williams. Drafted out of Georgetown University by the Detroit Pistons in the 1996 NBA Draft, Williams played four-plus years with the Pistons, becoming one of their key reserves. He quickly became a fan favorite while playing for the Toronto Raptors due to his tenacious efforts on the court.
Basketball Hall of Fame’s Hoop Hall Experience is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily with last admission at 8 p.m. The exhibit will be on display for a limited time. Tickets are $15 (adults), $12 (seniors 65 and older and military), $12 (Nevada residents), $10 (children 4-12) and are available at Planet Hollywood’s central box office on the mezz. Super CR3W in the House!

Las Vegas’ own b-boys and winner of the second season of America’s Best Dance Crew, Super CR3W, rocked the house at Moon Nightclub inside Palms Casino Resort last night (5.19.09) for the ‘Roc Them Funky Stylz’ party. They sat at a VIP table with about 25 people and sipped on Ketel One Vodka and Red Bull. Sporting Red Bull baseball caps and custom Super CR3W shirts, Super CR3W performed two times, dancing on the dance floor in between performances.

Voodoo Beach’s rockin’ summer concert series. The poolside shows will take place one Thursday per month from May through September. Free and open to the public, based on capacity, guests must be 18 and older with valid ID.
Spin Doctors is a jam band best known for their hits “Two Princes” and “Little Miss Can’t be Wrong.”
