As the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Las Vegas continues to evolve into a world-class resort destination, its renowned Sunday pool party, REHAB, continues to expand its legendary “daylife” attraction. The once intimate poolside party for locals has grown into one of the most extravagant and luxurious outdoor destinations in Las Vegas – catering to thousands of beautiful, trendsetting, rich and the famous celebrities, partygoers, and revelers alike from all over the world.
Guests can still expect some of their favorite amenities at REHAB including 4.7 acres of tropical paradise with real sand beaches and Caribbean-blue water that meanders for almost a mile throughout the property, the top-notch food and beverage service from the Hard Rock Beach Club, and the popular “swim-up” Blackjack tables. In addition, guests will still enjoy Rock Star Lemonades as they party to world-famous DJs including Clinton Sparks, DJ Vice, DJ Steve Aoki, Jonathan Peters, Fredde Le Grand & Funkerman, and Scooter & Lavelle.
REHAB takes place weekly each Sunday through September. Hours of operation are from 11:00 a.m. until sunset. Doors open at 10:30 a.m. for Cabana guests. Cover charges vary based on holidays and special events, but generally cover is $40 for men, $20 for women. This season, lucky local ladies are admitted for no cover. Rehab patrons will also enjoy a separate valet near the pool entrance for easy access. Santa Fe and The Fat City Horns, a staple in the Las Vegas music scene since the ’70s, will perform every Saturday night inside Bonkerz Comedy Club at Palace Station beginning May 2. The shows begin at midnight and there is no cover. Santa Fe bandleader and founder Jerry Lopez assembled a group of revered musicians from New Mexico and brought them to Las Vegas in the ’70s. The group immediately attracted crowds filled with other professional musicians, performers and visiting musical celebrities who often got on stage with the group. Today, Santa Fe has combined with The Fat City Horns to create a 15-man band that features a six-piece horn section and a nine-piece rhythm section which includes four lead singer The shows are open to adults 21 years and older and there is no cost for admission. Hash House A Go Go and KVVU Fox 5’s MORE! anchors team up to celebrate National Burger Month by creating their own one pound stuffed burgers and donating a portion of the proceeds to the charity Best Buddies. Fox 5’s Jason Feinberg, Monica Jackson and Rachel Smith recently joined up with Hash House A Go Go Chef Anthony Vidal to put their culinary skills to the test. Each anchor created their own signature one pound stuffed burger which will be available for brunch and dinner at Hash House A Go Go May 15 through May 25.
The dynamic trio will be pitted against each other to find out whose burger best satisfies the taste buds of the community. The best-selling burger will earn its creator the honor of having all the proceeds from National Burger Month donated to Best Buddies in his or her name. Best Buddies is an organization dedicated to enhancing the lives of people with intellectual disabilities by providing opportunities for one-on-one friendships and integrated employment. All three burgers have two Certified Angus Beef patties with stuffing in between and come with lettuce, onion and tomato on a fresh bun. Feinberg’s “Meowy-Wowy Burger” comes stuffed with delicious caramelized onions and classic barbeque sauce. Jackson ’s “Hot and Spicy Mama Monica Burger” is stuffed with zesty chipotle adobo and smoked cheddar cheese. Rachel Smith’s burger, “It Ain’t Easy Being GOAT Cheesy,” is a tasty concoction stuffed with jalapeño olive tapenade and goat cheese. The burgers will be available during brunch and dinner for $9.95 each with $2 from each burger purchased donated to Best Buddies. Sides are not included in the price but can be added for additional fees.
The restaurant serves breakfast and lunch daily from 7:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. and dinner from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday. Las Vegas Motor Speedway will be the first and most anticipated stop on the 2009 DubfestAll Out” Car Show Tour. The event will take place inside the Neon Garage in the infield of the superspeedway on Saturday, May 16, from 6 p.m. to midnight. The annual European car show tour will be making a stop in Las Vegas for the second time and will feature a judged car show with more than 40 classes, live entertainment and gaming zones.
