Dirk Arthur Takes Xtreme Magic to New Heights

Xtreme Magic Starring Dirk Arthur kicks it up a notch in its’ new evening timeslot; adding five enormous illusions, new music, updated choreography, costumes, set pieces and more. This intensified edition of Xtreme Magic Starring Dirk Arthur will begin amazing audiences Wednesday May 13, 2009 at 7 p.m. in the Tiffany Theater . The expanded evening performance will feature all of the famed Xtreme Magic favorites while integrating a variety of never-before-seen and awe inspiring illusions. Guests will witness some of the largest magic tricks performed in Vegas as Dirk Arthur physically passes through another human being, makes a creature appear out of thin air and folds a beautiful woman into a small origami box. “We really went over the top this time,” said producer Ari Levin. “We hired a Los Angeles choreographer, brought in fabulous new costumes, incorporated a variety of the hottest music and created some simply outrageous illusions.” Xtreme Magic remains the only show on the Las Vegas strip to feature a variety of exotic cats including white striped tigers, black African leopards, a pure white snow tiger and an actual liger. The show touts the largest and rarest collection of performing cats in the world and showcases a minimum of nine animals per performance. Arthur will continue catering to an earlier crowd Wednesday through Monday at 4:10 p.m. and will wow evening audiences with his latest edition at 7 p.m. Both offerings will be dark on Tuesdays. Hall of Famer Calvin Murphy to sign Autographs Friday and Saturday

Legendary Hall of Famer and former Houston Rockets guard Calvin Murphy will sign autographs at the Hoop Hall Experience (HHX), the official Basketball Hall of Fame’s touring exhibit, at Planet Hollywood Resort & Casino 6:30 – 8 p.m. Friday, May 15 and 1 – 2:30 p.m. Saturday, May 16.

Basketball Hall of Fame’s Hoop Hall Experience is open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily with last admission at 8 p.m. The exhibit will be on display for a limited time. New Show Coming to the Imperial Palace!

Details of the new headlining show presented by Smokey Robinson at Imperial Palace will be revealed. There will be a short showcase of the show, followed by interviews with the cast, Smokey Robinson and Imperial Palace President Don Marrandino.

The group coming to the Imperial Palace Showroom has toured with top names in the music business including Celine Dion and Michael Jackson. They have 23 platinum records and five number one albums. The show is presented by Smokey Robinson and is the first new production in the showroom in 26 years. The theater has undergone major renovations to welcome this exciting new venture.

SIEGFRIED & ROY’S SECRET GARDEN AND LION CUBS BIRTHDAY PARTY!

Today was a very special day at The Secret Garden...someone had presents and cakes! It was the tiger's cubs 1st Birthday! Those cute little bundles of fur (150 lbs!!) On hand to celebrate were living legends Siegfried and Roy who sang "Happy Birthday" and blew out the candles for the frolicking kitties. After the celebration came a special treat for fans as The Magicians of The Century signed their re-issued book, ‘Siegfried & Roy: The Magic Begins at Home.’ Many fans lined up and were delighted to meet these two in person!

Never one to let an opportunity slip by I also decided to check out the rest of "The Secret Garden." In a word amazing, both Siegfried & Roy and The Mirage must be commended for their dedication to the preservation of lion, tigers, jaguars and...dolphins and furry woolly alpacas!! If you live here in Vegas re-visit this special place and if you are on your way to Vegas make it a must see!

Tigers are 7-10 feet from tip to nose. They weight anywhere from 200 to over 575 pounds! Average life span is 15-20 years.

There are several generations of dolphins at The Secret Garden, Mom, Daughter, Dad, Uncle and Grandma! In the protected habitat dolphins can live more than 25 years. A pregnancy usually lasts 52 WEEKS..YIKES! However they only give birth every two to three years.

Lions are between 300-570 pounds. The average life span is between 15-20 years. Whew a lion pregnancy last 14-16 weeks and they generally give birth to 3-5 cubs.

Michael Buble' Sighting in Las Vegas!

Canadian singer Michael Bublé visited BODIES… The Exhibition and Titanic: The Artifact Exhibition inside Luxor Hotel & Casino on Sunday. Michael was accompanied by a female guest he called “Lou,” reportedly an actress from Argentina.

After his tours, Michael signed the BODIES guestbook, “What an amazing treat!”
