World Famous DJ Tiesto Receives Key To The Las Vegas Strip
The MGM GRAND Main Lobby was a sight to see tonight as GRAMMY Award-winning DJ/producer and Hakkasan Nightclub resident Tiësto kicked off his birthday celebration with an honorary ceremony, during which the music icon was presented with the Key to the Las Vegas Strip on behalf of the entertainment capital of the world. Tiësto rolled up to MGM valet shortly before 6 p.m. in a luxurious Aston Martin before heading inside. He was met by the UNLV marching band, who greeted the dance music legend with his celebrated track “Red Lights” as he made his grand entrance into the lobby.
At 6 p.m., County Commissioner Steve Sisolak spoke to the crowd about Tiësto’s achievements and dedication to the Las Vegas Strip throughout his residency.
“I am thrilled to present Tiësto with the Key to the Las Vegas Strip,” Sisolak said. “Bringing his innovative talent to the Strip in conjunction with Hakkasan Group, Tiësto has changed the face of the DJ world. Through his dedication and passion for his work, Tiësto continues to be an inspiration, not only to other DJ artists, but to all Las Vegas performers.”
Sisolak then presented Tiësto with the Key to the Las Vegas Strip, followed by the proclamation of January 14 as “Tiësto Day.”
Afterwards, the artist took photos with the Commissioner and waved to the crowd before leaving the Main Lobby around 6:30 p.m. as UNLV’s band performed his new single “On My Way.” “On My Way” was released yesterday, January 13, as a way to jumpstart this weekend’s celebration and marks Tiësto’s first official single of 2017. The song serves as an anthem for anyone ready to seize the opportunity presented by a new year and celebrates the individuals that stay true to themselves in pursuit of their ambitions.

Blac Chyna Hosts At Las Vegas Hotspot 1 OAK
On Saturday, Jan. 7, model and television personality Blac Chyna enjoyed a Vegas night out as she hosted at 1 OAK Nightclub inside The Mirage Hotel & Casino.
In her first appearance since giving birth to Dream Kardashian, the reality star made her way to the club around 12:30 a.m. Before making her way inside Chyna stopped to pose for photos and talk with reporters. Dazzling in a form-fitting, gold sequin dress complete with her signature long, platinum blond hair, Dream Kardashian’s mom and friends including Paige Morrison, headed inside where they were settled at a VIP table located behind the DJ Booth where DJ Gusto was spinning smash hits for partygoers to dance to.
Soon after her arrival, the model hostess was greeted by a parade of cocktail waitresses carrying giant photo cutouts of her family, including baby Dream and fiancé Rob. As guests cheered her name, Chyna enthusiastically hopped up to take photos in front of the presentation. As the night went on the starlet was on her feet dancing and singing with her friends while waving and blowing kisses to her fans. Adding to the excitement in the room, Chyna jumped on the mic to greet the packed room and then took to the dance floor to take photos with her admirers.
The gorgeous celebrity was seen in high spirits all night as she sipped cocktails, Snapchatted and enjoyed her time with close friends before leaving the Vegas hotspot around 3 a.m.

NASCAR Drivers Have Fun At LVMS
Four Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series drivers enjoyed themselves on the track during Day 2 of a Goodyear tire test at Las Vegas Motor Speedway last Wednesday.
Matt Kenseth, Joey Logano, Chase Elliott and Jamie McMurray clocked lap after lap at the 1.5-mile speedway on the sunny and windy day as Goodyear techs and the quartet of race teams banked valuable data to use in 2017 and beyond. The drivers enjoyed their time behind the wheel during the two-day test session.
“It’s fun to come out and test, and I like coming to Vegas,” said Kenseth, the Kobalt 400 champion in 2003, 2004 and 2013. “It seems like everything has slowed down (on the track), which makes for better racing. I’ve always liked the race track, have had some good runs here and had some wins here. “It’s a fun race track, a fun town and always a good environment, so I enjoy racing here.”
Logano understands the importance of the tire tests and what they can do for the sport. “You’re able to knock the rust off and try to come up with the best tire,” said Logano, the 2014 Kobalt 400 pole winner. “This is Goodyear’s test, and we’re here for Goodyear to make the best tire, not only for us drivers, but for the fans to have the best race to watch. There’s a lot of theories on what makes the best race, and we’re able to go through those and figure out what makes the track wide and let us move around.
“There are constant conversations about how we can make it better, and this is a great opportunity for us to test a lot of that.” Elliott got a lot out of the two-day session. “It’s felt really good to get back going again,” said Elliott, the 2016 NASCAR Rookie of the Year. “The time that passes between the last race and the first time you get back in a car seems like a long time. So, it’s good to get back in, get acclimated and try to sharpen up your skills.
“This is a good place to do it, and it’s similar to a lot of tracks we’ll go to this season, so it’s helpful in a lot of ways. Goodyear has been really good with how they’ve approached the test, and of all the tests I’ve done with them, this is as aggressive as I’ve seen them with making changes and trying new things with the tire. I think that’s encouraging, and I hope they can take the data and try to help us provide some better racing down the road.”
LVMS’ 2017 NASCAR Weekend begins on Friday, March 10, with Stratosphere Pole Day, continues with the Boyd Gaming 300 Xfinity Series race on Saturday, March 11, and concludes with the Kobalt 400 on Sunday, March 12. Tickets are available at www.lvms.com or by calling 1-800-644-4444.

St. Jude’s Ranch for Children is a non-profit organization that saves the lives of traumatized children who have been abused, neglected or left homeless.
“Win-Win Entertainment, and Jeff Civillico specifically, have been very supportive of us over the years,” said Jackie Yoxen of St. Jude’s Ranch. “So when they offered to create this program, we jumped at the chance to help our kids and increase awareness of both organizations and the incredible work that is being done through them.”
