New Inventions Showcased at Touro University!!

Students from Touro University Nevada ’s School of Occupational Therapy showcased and demonstrated unique inventions they designed and built from concept to prototype to help disabled individuals at the Assistive Technologies Fair on Wednesday. The Assistive Technologies Fair serves as the final project for Occupational Therapy master’s degree candidates completing an advanced course in assistive technologies and adaptive devices. At the event, students individually present a piece of adaptive equipment they have designed and constructed, along with a mini-case study detailing its purpose and use.

Tuesday night LAVO celebrated “Rewind to the 90’s” with host Biz Markie. After hamming it up on the red carpet he dined on favorites such as the Kobe Meatball, Shrimp Alfredo and Eggplant Parmagiano. Once upstairs he surprised club goers with an impromptu performance of his single “Just a Friend,” which was a Top 10 hit. Two members of the rock band Avenged Sevenfold dined at N9NE Steakhouse inside Palms Casino Resort Monday night (6.7.10). Accompanied by a group of six, they started with oysters, tuna tartar and a wedge salad. For their main course, the two rock musicians shared a filet with sides of mac and cheese and green beans. 4 watermelon cubes

4 cucumber sticks

3/4 oz. Simple syrup

1/2 oz. Fresh lemon

In a shaker, muddle the watermelon and cucumber together. Shake and strain remaining ingredients into a chilled cocktail glass. Garnish with a watermelon ball.

Both groups were spotted upstairs after dinner as TAO Nightclub celebrated the launch of Stephen Webster’s autumn and winter 2010 collections.

Lucas Haas was seen in the club enjoying a cigar at a dance floor table and late night TV host Craig Ferguson was also spotted checking out the scene after visiting TAO Beach earlier in the day.

Pornographic actor, Ron Jeremy was partying at Palms Pool & Bungalows Sunday afternoon (6.6.10). He arrived at the pool at 2:15 p.m. to join his friends in a cabana. He did take a break from the sun to shake hands with a few fans.

Korn's James “Munky” Shaffer’s B-Day at HRH!! Cake-time!!

Korn celebrated James “Munky” Shaffer’s birthday at Rare 120 in Hard Rock Hotel & Casino on Friday night. The restaurant presented him with a guitar shaped cake, which he immediately started to play beginning with the body and working his way up to the neck. In true Korn form, Munky then proceeded to destroy the cake neck and shove a fistful into his mouth. He then gave thanks to his hosts for the cake.

Over at Vanity, Eric D-Lux played Korn’s “Freak on a Leash” for Munky around 3 a.m. to celebrate his birthday in the club. Munky was over whelmed, thanked Eric personally, and enjoyed the night with Tommy Lipnick and six of his closest friends.

Nightclubs in Vegas - LAVO and TAO where celebs hang out! Who?? Pics!!

Friday night a group of notable names including Paris and Nicky Hilton and designer Roberto Cavalli gathered for dinner at LAVO in celebration of promoter and nightlife impresario Allison Melnick. The group enjoyed favorites such as the famed Kobe Meatball and Seabass before heading over to TAO Nightclub to continue the party, where they danced the night away on the catwalk to the sounds of DJ Reach.

Spotted dining at TAO was Al Horford of the Atlanta Hawks. The NBA pro celebrated his 24th birthday with friends and drank Sake Bombs and enjoyed Kobe Steak before adjourning to the nightclub.

Television personality Melissa Rycroft hosted the Us Weekly Hot Bodies party at Encore Beach Club on Saturday afternoon. The former Dancing With The Stars contestant arrived at the hot new pool party at 1 pm with her husband Tye Strickland. The duo were affectionate all afternoon kissing inside their cabana and out on the deck in front of the packed crowd.
