The Golden Tiki celebrated its second anniversary on July 23 with the debut of Monti Rock III and Claire Sinclair's shrunken heads. Guests enjoyed tiki punch, magic tricks from a strolling entertainer, a scavenger hunt featuring several of the bar's unique artifacts, a mermaid braid bar from Kelly Cardenas Salon, and a DJ set by Tony Felicetta of The Sharps.

"We're thrilled to be celebrating our Terrible Twos with Monti Rock III and Claire Sinclair," said Branden Powers, The Golden Tiki's managing partner.  "Most importantly, we couldn't have done this without the support of the Las Vegas community and our wonderful staff.  We look forward to many more years of serving our loyal guests and celebrating the tiki tradition."

Powers and Felicetta presented Rock and Sinclair with their shrunken heads during the celebration.  Created exclusively for The Golden Tiki's cabinet of curiosities, the heads were sculpted over the course of four weeks referencing photos of both celebrities to ensure physical accuracies.

"I'm honored to call Branden a friend and be a part of this tradition," said Rock.  "I landed in Vegas as a columnist and have come a long way. I really want to thank all of you. I'm grateful to be here, and I love my head."

"Thank you Golden Tiki for the honor of being the first female shrunken head and letting me celebrate with you tonight," Sinclair added.  "This is amazing.  Look at the profile. They got me down to the eyelashes and everything.  It's perfect."

Located in Chinatown, Las Vegas, The Golden Tiki is a journey to a wondrous land where boundaries are only limited to one's imagination. The vision of hospitality veteran Branden Powers, in collaboration with Seth Schorr, Jeff Fine and Joe Cain, The Golden Tiki has spared no expense in recreating the classic mid-century tiki bar, reminiscent of Don the Beachcomber and Trader Vic's storied establishments. The cocktail menu features nostalgic classics and new creations, as well as a traditional Martinique ti service and a special treasure chest VIP experience. Collaborating with renowned artists including Tiki Bosko, Billy the Crud, Bill Collins and Oceanic Arts, the one-of-a-kind decor also boasts an animatronic skeleton of the mythical privateer and legend behind The Golden Tiki, William Tobias Faulkner. Open 24 hours a day, The Golden Tiki offers a multitude of experiences and can host private parties up to 145 people. For more information, visit thegoldentiki.com or call 702.222.3196.
