The Shade Tree announces the 2nd Annual HERO WALK, a 5k fun run/walk in an effort to raise much-needed funds to support women, children and their pets affected by domestic violence and homelessness.
The Shade Tree is dedicated to improving the lives of women, children and their pets affected by domestic violence and crisis in the Las Vegas Valley. As the largest and only 24-hour accessible shelter of its kind in Nevada, The Shade Tree provides help, healing and hope to more than 6,000 women, children and their pets each year. All the proceeds raised at the HERO 5k fundraiser will go directly to the Las Vegas shelter to help fund much needed programs that assist the women, children and pets living at Shade Tree.
Join everyone downtown for entertainment, vendor fair, raffles, food, music and more! Wear your favorite super hero costume or come ready to walk and a cape will be provided. This event will be hosted by Nia Wong Weekend Anchor for 8 News Now with a special Pro BMX performance by the Ricardo Laguna Show Team. Sounds provided by Blend DJ Institute with special guest DJ Technicolor and performances by MAXWELL FRESH and Jay R Beatbox.
